How to Sync Notes Between Obsidian Mobile & Your PC| Using Syncthing|

obsidian mobile is a great addition to the pc version of obsidian the mobile version makes it really easy to add and review our notes but if you are facing problem with syncing the notes between your pc and your android device then this video is for you in this video i'll explain how you can sync obsidian files between your pc and your android device seamlessly so let's begin our tutorial i have used quite a few applications that lets you sync files between your pc and your android device but i finally settled on to sync thing and in this video i will show you how you can seamlessly sync your obsidian files between your android device and your pc so the first thing you need to do is download sync thing on your pc and install it uh same thing is available to download on the their optional website synthing.net and you can go to download section and you will see these download links over here after downloading you install sync tracer this application is called syncr so i have already installed it i'll just show you from here this you install this application called sync razor and it will open up we have installed syncing on our pc now we need to install it on our android device so let me take you to my android device go to play store and download this application called sync thing as i have already downloaded it i will just open it up now click on continue grant the permissions and click on finish now is i'm using mobile data here so i'll just change the settings run on mobile data and this will set up your sync thing on android device now what you need to do is add your pc on this android device so for this you will need to go to devices and click on this plus icon over here and on your pc go to this actions and click on show id now on your android phone click on this barcode like icon and scan the code now click on this ok icon and you will be prompt prompted on your pc to add this android device to your pc so click on add device and click on save now this is your remote device and you are you have configured your remote device now we need to set up folder for syncing through our pc and android device so click on add folder and you can use folder name here let's say obsidian let me just and over folder path you find the folder path of your obsidian file so i'll just copy the folder path over here copy as path and i'll copy it and i'll just remove this marks over here now on on sharing you need to select your remote device that is my android device check on it and click on save now we have set up this folder obsidian on our pc now go to your android phone and you will have a notification of sync thing that your laptop wants to or your pc wants to share this folder obsidian and you have to click on accept and now just choose the directory so i'll just go choose android directory and use this folder and now click on this ok icon and now you are prepared to sync between your pc and your android device and now as you can see syncing is up to date and on your phone you have obsidian file i'll show you on my file manager on android i have this obsidian files all over here there's another setting that you can choose on obsidian you here click on edit and you can click on advanced and folder type the send and receive means any changes you make on your android device will also be synced on your pc and this send means only uh these files will only be sent from your pc but your pc will not receive anything from your android device and receive only means same thing your pc will only receive from the android device but will not send any files information so that's i will just choose to send and receive and click on save that's how you sync obsidian files between your pc and your android device if you are not using obsidian sync thank you for watching this video and if you found this video helpful please don't mind subscribing to this channel because i will make more videos on obsidian on the following days so thank you have a great day
