some of the best advice that I ever got in sales and branding was this you need to operate your business with the intention of getting sales overnight and building your brand over time sales overnight means you need to bring on customers as soon as you possibly can if you're in the service based industry you need to fill up your calendar if you're selling a product you need to sell as many widgets as you possibly can but here's the thing the smartest business owners and the smartest growth leaders they understand the simple fact that they need to invest 20 to 30% of their time building their brand which is getting more case studies getting more reviews getting more testimonials so the intention of acquiring a customer and bringing on a client is not just to generate revenue and to make someone happy of course that's very important but the other thing that's really important is building the case study in the form of a review and getting those five stars and if you look back at your account in a year and you realize wow I've accumulated 300 f-star reviews you're going to have more business than you know what to do with
