How to style LINEN pants DO's and DON'Ts + 10 outfits

do you like to wear linen trousers or you don't know how to style them maybe you prefer skirts dresses shorts and I actually have an upcoming video that I'll share some of the best linen pieces out there right now at different price points but today we're going to be focusing on the dos and DS of linen trousers when you're picking a top to go with the pants one thing I would absolutely avoid is to go with sequins just sparkly Fabrics something that has a lot of embellishment and just feels formal and very dressy these pieces by themselves they actually look amazing but they don't pair very well with the Casual feel of linen so these Fabrics I would avoid and just wait for the right opportunity to wear them what I would wear instead there's so many options one of these of course would be to pair your pants with linen shirt something in the same material whether it's a matching set or something in a different color this is a no-brainer it's one of the easiest ways to get dressed and I am not completely opposed to oversized shirts in fact I think they do look nice but you must style this otherwise it will swallow you and doesn't look very good so one of the tricks is to just show a little bit more skin I like to tuck in my shirt or maybe tie in the front because this will create some definition and it doesn't feel like everything is super oversized you can also pair your linen trousers with a tank top something in Cotton breathable that feels very summery I think ideally you should go with tops that will complement the pants and not that will fight the pants and I'm going to be showing you some of these that I would definitely avoid another way of course everyone has this in their wardrobe is a te a t-shirt something again that's breathable that feels lightweight not super structured if you need to wear a structured piece I would probably pair with linen that just feels a little more structured as well so besides a t-shirt another great way to wear your linen pants it's with vests or just tops that are also in linen or they are in Cotton they just feel more casual they do show a lot more skin it's completely fine if you don't want to show your arms or maybe that area you can absolutely wear something that covers this area but just pay attention to Fabrics that will feel breathable and it will feel just really nice and summery along with the pants I would avoid Fabrics like wool heavy wool or something that's like Tweed that has a lot of texture and it's so structured I think these would be great with certain trousers but definitely not with linen pants I am not against knit I think actually looks really nice when you pair your linen trousers with some knit wear but it has to be something again that feels more summery not something heavy that will just make you warm it's exactly the opposite of linen linen is so casual and it just feels so lightweight and just really adorable I love linen it's one of my favorite fabrics for summer it just keeps me fresh and at the same time I really love how effortless it is so I love wearing a crochet top something that's more open it and that doesn't have sleeves so you can definitely wear knits with them I just would pay attention to the type of Niche and would stick to something like cotton or Visos and not go with wool and that's of course a don't if you're trying to layer because perhaps you just need to cover your arms or you are in a place that has air conditioner or something like this I would absolutely 100% avoid tweet jacket something that's structured and just feels completely unbalanced you can see that the black one just feels so unnatural against the linen it's not just the color you can see that I'm pairing the pants with a black shirt and even though it's black which does feel a little heavy it does work wild simply because it is a more lightweight fabric it's just linen just like the pants what I would do instead if you must layer if you must wear a third piece I would pick and open it cardigan something that will just create this nice texture along with the pants but they're not going to feel like too heavy like the Tweet jacket of course a wonderful way as well is to pair with a Blazer I love Blazers for summer I think they are wonderful of course if it's too hot you may need to skip them and just wear a shirt on the top of it but if you are able to layer if you need to layer I would go with a linen Blazer whether it's fitted or boxy whatever you prefer whatever is best for your body type but I think this is a great way to layer without feeling that's too much one thing I would never wear with linen trousers is a leather jacket and a corduroy jacket I think Fabrics like this that are more they bring more warmth to the outfit like corduroy velvet wool uh leather I think these can be worn in maybe accessories or something that's smaller instead of wearing on the top of it it's just not going to feel great it's not going to look the best when it comes to accessories I think it's very important to to pay attention to your shoes when you're wearing linen trousers I think a huge and common mistake is to wear them with Stilettos or with heels and Clos toes something that covers your feet completely I would say that if you want to wear heels you can absolutely do that you can wear with espad drils you can wear your linen trousers with um sandals that just show your toes and show more of your skin I am not completely against wearing kitten heels for pointy toes I know a lot of people say don't wear linen trousers with pointy toes but in fact I think if there's Ling backs and they show a little bit more skin to me at least it doesn't feel awkward but that's something completely at your discretion I would say that loafers I would absolutely avoid them with linen pants they are so chunky and the problem here is not even that it's chunky because you will see that I'm wearing with chunky sandals and it works perfectly but this is so heavy especially with the log sols so I would avoid these for sure and I would wear instead is something more casual like sneakers not those bulky huge Sneakers but something that's more lightweight as well I would also pair these with sandals but they're super flat and minimal or if it's something chunky like these that you're seeing I think it looks really great it works with the proportions doesn't feel like it's off and it's of course very comfortable so when you're wearing linen I think one of the best parts of it is that you're feeling comfortable and it's just so easy and breathable and just so good to wear it's my favorite fabric for summer so the same for handbags I would probably avoid something too struck Ed like a clutch an evening clutch even if you're wearing something more formal and you need a clutch I would go with a clutch that's more like Rafia or something in a lighter color I think it will complement your outfit a lot better of course you can wear a lot of baskets I think this is the moment for it it just looks so beautiful so effortless and one of my favorite handbags to wear during the summer I'm always excited when I take them out of my storage place and I get to wear them again so one of my favorite ways I would say the same for belts I would probably avoid something too dark unless you're wearing black pants like that's linen then other than that I would prefer something thin something in a creamy shade or white because that brings a more summer look to the outfit I'm doing a quick comparison here of these belts so you can see them how they look and how it creates a completely different look depending on how you style so I think you can feel comfortable with belts just try to wear some that's lightweight it just doesn't add any heaviness to the outfit other than that I don't think there are many rules here I really love how these look except for the black one I feel like it's a little too harsh on the outfit now you tell
