He has a bunch of cooking and recipe videos as well. Kent Rollins is a real deal chuckwagon cook.
I see Kent Rollins I upvote. He gets some heat for sanding his pans around here but that's how he makes his living so he must be on to something. His chicken tortilla soup recipe instantly became a winter staple in my house- can't recommend it enough. You get to fry tortillas in your cast iron too, great for building that seasoning.
I love Cowboy Kent Rollins! His videos are great and have helped me learn a lot as a beginner to cast iron. Tons of great recipes and his videos are just plain fun to watch.
Besides the great advice and recipe ideas, I think we can all agree that he seems like a genuinely great guy.
Yeah Iβve been following him on YouTube for years! My coffee maker went south a month ago, his cowboy coffee in my enameled CI pot saved the day. But I too wouldnβt worry about grinding them smooth.
Kentβs cooking videos were a big inspiration for me to get out the old cast iron and start using it again. Used some of his cast iron baking recipes and they turned out great.
Love that guy but I do feel that grinding a pan is unnecessary
Great videos on YouTube. Check him out. Heβs got lots of great recipes and tons of experience and good advice on food, cooking and cast iron.
That's my fucking guy. When I started learning how to cook, he was one of my biggest influences and still is.
