how i package and ship out what i sell on ebay what's up everyone my name is sam and welcome back to another video in today's video i'm going to show you guys how i package and ship out the stuff that i sell on ebay now before i get into the video if you guys are new to my channel make sure you guys hit that subscribe button make sure you guys like this video by doing so we can get this video out there for more people to see hopefully other people can use it as a resource as well before i bring you guys closer and to show you how i package some of the stuff that i sell i want to go through what i use to package my product all i really need is box cutter tape dispenser extra rolls of tape for agile stickers roll of bubble wrap boxes that i'm going to be using to package these i'm going to start off first with the easy box the ones that are already in a packaging light so with these kinds of items you don't really need to wrap it in bubble wrap however if you feel like it could break do so when i package something like this i just take my cardboard box and i just line up the edge of the box to the edge of the cardboard and what i do is i'll just go ahead and i'll wrap it like so so once you're at this step what you want to do next is go ahead and tape the sides that are touching the bottom right here now i like to use a lot of tape i just don't want the stuff to come apart and the next step is to cut the excess cardboard like so now when you are doing this make sure that you guys feel around to see where the box ends and where the cardboard is just hollow that way you don't cut into the actual box itself once i have the package like so what i like to do is just push it in a little bit and create this little lip on both sides of the package next step is to grab another cardboard i'm gonna grab some right here i have this little tiny piece right here that i'm going to use and what i like to do is just take the box and line it up this cardboard and then i'll just go ahead and i'll cut around the rest like that then i'll flip it over and once i have this top lid i'll just go ahead and i will tape it down once i have this i'll repeat the same steps for the bottom voila that's how i package my items and the last step is to put the shipping label onto the package once i have printed the shipping labels i'll just take my box cutter and i'll cut around the perimeter of where the shipping label is and then once i have the label cut out like like so i'll just go ahead and i will tape it anywhere on the box so there you have it guys that's how i package a box like this that's already in its original packaging all right so the next item i'm going to show you guys is one that isn't in its original packaging this item right here is a ceiling fan part that i sold the other day and i'm going to show you guys how i like to package stuff like this that could easily break in the shipping process first i sew with my roll of bubble wrap and i'll just roll out like about a foot and a half and i'll cut that right down the middle once i have a piece like this what i'm going to do is take my idle and put it right there into the center now i'm just going to wrap it however i can around this item then i'll take my tape and i'll just over it once and twice i'll just follow this exact process three or four times to get a really thick layer of bubble wrap around this product so the second time that i go around with the bubble wrap i like to orient the item in different positions so the thickness like up here ends up in a different part of the eye if i want like more thickness like this that i got the first time on the back side i'll just position it like like this and i'll do the same process [Music] and the last one a word of advice when you are cutting the second or the third or the fourth pieces of your bubble wrap make sure you cut them a little bit longer than the previous one because the item is going to get bigger and so it's going to be more difficult to wrap the item with is the same size that you cut the first time here you have it guys that same item is all wrapped up and it's bubble wrap and honestly i would be surprised if this thing works so now let's just wrap it around with the boxes all right so i'm going through the same process that i did before this time you'll see that this box right here that i picked up is a little bit too small so what i'll do to improvise is i'll just take these sides together like that and i will just find another piece to put on top of it i have this piece it's a little too long so i'm going to cut it right there and i'm going to make sure that the edges are kind of square and voila what i'll do is just like that and then i'll just start taping the box in now if you have a box that's long enough to wrap around this whole thing one time you could just completely avoid this step that i'm taking right now and i highly recommend finding one that is long enough because sometimes this little tiny stuff right here can be annoying [Music] but sometimes all right so now i have a little bit of a lip right here that i'm just gonna cut out so it's just one flat lip never use a dull blade here we go just like that this side is already good what i'll do next is i'll just find another piece of cardboard and i'll try to kind of outline the opening right here onto the other one and cut it out and tape it on top right so here's the finished product as you can see both sides are taped on everything looks good all it needs is its shipping label and it's good to go so there it is that's how i package and ship out the things that i sell on ebay these things right here will come with me to the post office where i'll just drop them off and then we'll keep doing this over and over again for as many sellers that we make on ebay this is just how i like to do it other people prefer a different way some people will just go to the post office and just get boxes or get those flat rate envelopes there's really no right or wrong way to do this as long as you do it in the way that you feel like you can get these things out the reason why i do it the way i do it is because when i buy these truckloads i end up with a lot of boxes like this because the pallets all come wrapped around these things and so instead of me throwing them out i just recycle them and i use them for this purpose so i hope you guys found today's video helpful hopefully you guys were able to learn a little bit more about how i package and ship out the things that i sell on ebay if you guys did find this
