How To Share Purchases Apple Family

what's going on guys i'm gonna show you how to share your previously purchased music and phone apps within your family shared group [Music] so i recently had a viewer reach out and say hey joe how do i find my previously purchased music i was just added to a family share plan within the group and i wanted to share the music with other people in my group instead of them having to purchase the same stuff well i figured i'd make a video on this and show you guys how to exactly find that stuff within your phone and the phone apps as well not just the music so let's jump into my iphone real quick so i can show you guys how to find these things but first if you're new here and you want more news reviews and how to's for your phone then be sure to hit that subscribe button tap the notification bell while you're at it that way you don't miss anything new first thing you want to do is go into the itunes app and then in the far bottom right you're going to see three dots it says more you're gonna click on that and then you're gonna see tones genius purchase downloads we're gonna click on purchased and then you're gonna see my purchases and then below that you're gonna see family purchases and that's everybody within your family group now the third one down you see joseph i this is an old account this is the original iphone account or apple account that i had uh it was before i cloud all whatever stuff i don't even remember it was so long ago but this is previously purchased music before subscriptions and you go into the music tab and this is all your stuff that you downloaded or purchased uh back on itunes that you could share with your family group and we'll go in and we'll just find one let's see some tom petty here some greatest hits we'll click on that we don't want to download the whole all three songs but we'll do free falling so just click the cloud here it'll say downloading now it's done it'll say play so what you want to do is then exit out of that we're going to go into the music app and we're going to see downloaded here under library make sure you're in your library downloaded and then you're gonna go in and you can select any of these we're gonna go into songs just so you can see i did a few previously but you'll see free falling there it is you can listen to that anytime you want you don't have to have a music plan you don't have to be online or have any kind of internet access you can just listen directly to your phone all right so the next thing we're going to do is we're going to go in and i'm going to show you how to share apps so go into the app store on the top right you're going to click your little avatar picture whatever you have there and then you're gonna look down and you're gonna see purchased right above subscriptions here and then you're gonna see my purchases it's kind of like the itunes app then you're gonna see your family purchases so everything in there i'm gonna go to my daughter lily i'm gonna go into her account and as you can see the second app here uh interactive telling time pro if you click on that actual like app picture or anything it's gonna take you into the app store it's to show you it's 2.99 right well i don't want to pay for it because we already paid for it under her account so we're going to go over and we hit the cloud it's going to start downloading it and then once that's downloaded we'll go back onto our home screen and there it is i can go in and i have full access all right guys so there you go pretty simple way to share your previously purchased apps and music within your family group remember you have to be a part of a family shared plan up to six people apple allows stop spending all the money on double the songs or albums or apps if this video helped you in any way do me a favor and help me out by hitting that thumbs up button real quick and that subscribe button if you haven't done so yet and check out this playlist i left right here for you guys to watch next on more iphone how-to videos thanks for watching and i'll see you in the next one
