How to setup custom domains in your Supabase projects - SupabaseTips

foreign [Music] have you ever wanted to use your own domain for your supervised project to provide a more branded experience for your users you can set up custom domains to do just that custom domains are offered on the pro tier and above and you can get started with it right in your Super Bass dashboard go to your settings and scroll down to the custom domain section enter a subdomain of your choosing open the DNS settings page of your domain and set up a cname record on your custom domain resolving to the original Super Bass domain of your project you want to use the lowest possible TTL here because we'll be editing this record a few times throughout the process once that is done hit done and proceed foreign [Music] ly set up text records in your DNS settings to verify the domain ownership what the cname and text records set we can hit verify button if anything doesn't work give it a few minutes for the DNS records to propagate once you get to this screen where it asks you to set the text record on the same hostname of the cname record we said earlier you can replace a cname record with the new text records shown on the screen at this point we can hit verify note that it could take up to 24 hours until the verification to be completed but typically it's a lot shorter than that remember that cname marker that we converted to a tax record right before the verification process well once verification is complete we have to go back and re-update it to a c name record pointing to the original Super based domain again finally it's time to activate the custom domain once the custom domain is activated your project will start serving traffic on your custom domain note that off service will no longer work on your original supervised domain so it is recommended to schedule a 20 to 30 minute downtime when activating your custom domain make sure your apps are ready to start using the new custom domain and hit activate and voila your custom domain is activated now you can confirm that I can access my Super Bass project with the new custom domain that I set up and that is how you can set up custom domain in your Super Bass project head over to superbass.com to learn more about custom domains and much much more about Super Bass
