How to set your SD card as a default storage on the Android phone.

hello guys welcome back in today's video I'm going to show you how to set your SD card as a default storage on the Android phone sometimes when you buy Android phone you want to increase the storage by adding an SD card SD card you can find them in your local stores and this will save you a lot because you don't need to run out of space you can buy SD card that is 8 gigabyte 16 32 64 32 132 and even more so let's go right into it so after you buy the memory card or the SD card um you know remove your SIM tray and then inside it it's right beside the ship chain when you insert it now it's in your phone uh let's go to settings let me show you how to set that to become part of your internal memory um go to settings right up here and then when you go to settings up you know you scroll down and then here in the middle here you see uh storage you click on this storage where you click you see that on the top it says internal shared storage that's your internal memory this phone has only 32 gigabyte very smooth and then on the bottom here you say you see a portable storage this is where your SD card is it says SD card and it shows the capacity this is actually a very small SD card also it's only 2 gigabyte so for you to set this SD card to become the default storage for this Android phone you click on this SD card like that when you click it shows you the contents that's on the the SD card you know videos and pictures and then on the top uh right hand corner of your screen look at these three dots uh go here and then click on these three dots like this this is a you know uh menu that popped up and then up here it says new window new folder sort by select all and then here it says storage settings so click on storage settings when you click on storage settings it shows you still how much of your SD card you have used and if under it says format and then the second one it says format as internal so click on this format as Internet it gives you a message it says this SD card needs to be formatted to store apps files and media formatting would erase existing contents on the SD card to avoid losing contents back it up to another SD card or device here is the thing since you buy a new SD card it's new and it doesn't have things in there so you just go ahead and click format before you start using that way you don't need to back up so you know you just click on format and then it will make your SD card to become the internal uh default storage for your Android phone and you never run out of space again you know so that's it for this video you know um we already did you know format as internal so there's no need trying to do it again for this video purpose so thank you so much for watching and please consider subscribing and help the channel to grow to 100 subscribers thank you
