hey guys welcome to my channel this is bloop and today I'm going to be showing you guys how you can really easily format your SD card as internal storage on your device it doesn't need to be rooted and it just it will work on any Android version currently I have a realme C3 over here which is running Android 13. it's a custom rom but you can just use it on stock ROM or anything else you want it doesn't need to be rooted as you can see I do have a SD card plugged in over here on my device now if I am totally unlocked it I'm going to settings and let me just show you now as you can see over here that it only gives me an option to format the SD card as a portable storage and I cannot use it to transfer any apps or games or something like that it will only give me the option to transfer media like this now I will be showing you how you can get it to format as internal storage but the drawback of that is that you won't be able to uh essentially pull out your card whenever you want because it will be uh as a part of the internal storage so it will have to be formatted once again if it has to be used as portable storage again so let me quickly get into the steps the first thing which you need to do is that you need to have a computer or basically anyway in order to pass ADP commands through the phone uh it's really only a few commands so it's a very straightforward and easy process so what you have to do is you have to first of all go back and then go into your system over here now as you can see I have the developer options available if you don't have them enabled then you can just go simply into uh your about device section and from there just tap on the bill number about seven times and you should see that option now what you need to do is first of all get into system and then into developer options you have to make sure that they are enabled so it will ask you for a prompt something like that after that scroll down and enable USB debugging on your device it will give you another prompt now make sure you accept it and after that you need a USB cable for your device this one here uses a micro USB so I'll be using that and just plug in other end to your computer now as you can see uh this prompt will not straight away come so all you need to do in order to get this prompt is that you need to install a minimal ADB and Fastboot on your system so in order to install it for yourself all you need to do is you need to open you need to Simply search for minimal ADB and fast boot now the third link from here will be the XDA link I'll be giving this down in the description as well uh you can use this or you can also use the platform tools from Google it's a totally your choice now from here just click on download version 1.4.3 just click on start download and in a few moments just select the mirror and now it should just download the setup file just click on yes to open it click on next next next and you can also create a desktop icon if you want now just click on install and then click on finish and this will launch the window which you're seeing over here now all you need to do is to first of all enter the command jdb devices on your system now as you can see the device does actually appear but it's saying that it's unauthorized now as you can see that we do get an authentication message over on our phone so just click on allow simply and then just enter this command once again and now you can see that it shows a device instead of our price meaning that our phone has been authorized now you need to Simply enter ADB shell and then hit enter and now you'll be in the Shell option of your device now just simply follow this command which I'll also be putting in the description down below so s and set Force dot remove d now just make sure that you type this exactly the way I have typed otherwise this may not work it shouldn't work so just make sure that you have typed it exactly as I have once you run it automatic device got disconnected so just type in SM oo and two now just hit enter and it should just execute without giving you anything and you should still be in your shell now if you go back and back again on your phone and this time when you go into storage and into the format options now you should see an option to format the SD card as another way once you click on that then it will actually give you the option that you can now format your card as the internal storage but it will does it does give you a warning saying that this option may not work properly or due to data loss and yes this is indeed true because uh your card is a lot slower than your internal storage especially if you have something like ufs storage so I don't really recommend using it for heavy applications or games but for small stuff like some minor apps utilities maybe even WhatsApp or something like that then sure you can just use it now just hit format and click on format once again selected one in a few moments your SD card will be formatted as internal but just do note that this will wipe all the data you just currently present on the card so if you have something important I didn't have it if you do have something important on the card please be sure to back it up otherwise you will lose your data now it will also give you an option to move your contact over to the SD card now depending upon how much files you have already in your phone storage it will take up to a while I don't have much so as you can see it's showing that this will free up up to 797 megabytes of your phones and should take around in minute so I'll just do it because uh it's not really going to take a long time for me but for you if you've been using your phone for a while this is almost a very brand new ROM which I have used so and data but just be sure that whenever you um like when you reboot your phone until the time your card is actually recognized by your phone then uh it just might uh you know just all those apps which are over in the SD card may not work until the card is read by the phone they will be available I guess after around a minute so it's really not that of a big deal now as you can see the content of my card is transferred let me just hit done and now as you can see uh even if I select any of this the general is showing that it's zero bytes now but uh and if I click back again then you can see that it has just increased my storage which was just previously 32 gigabytes now it's uh around 64. so 32 plus 32 that way and even if you are to use a file manager then it should just only give you a single option but now you have essentially combined your storage and you have 64 gigabytes to use or essentially how much your phone has plus the amount of storage the SD card has so guys
