How To Screen Print -Step by Step process

hi I'm Shannon from for ambition and we've gotten a lot of responses saying you want a video of the whole process from start to finish you know how we start with the file like the raw files and then go to print they were to show you how through the whole process from start to finish when you send a file to things you want to make sure it's to size you know when you slept the whole thing right here let's say how wide it is 11 1/2 Y which is about is our standard size the other two things is when you click on the red you know like the two colors here's your color right there you want to make sure it's in spot we do have by double clicking on that swatch and usually it's on process color like that but you want to make sure it's on spot color and then you the same thing at the black but I ready-made I already made the spot so you can also type in you know if your client a lot guilty white ink they do magenta and then say white ink so if anything that and then you can actually delete all these other swatch that you're not using and that way your printer knows how many colors your design is everything is the size everything is a spot color so basically texting your file we save as a PDF make sure I'll also make sure all your fonts are in outlines these are not thoughts actually anymore you know we created outlines that way you know if we don't have the font that you're using it doesn't matter since it's all in outlines well then when you send that to us we'll open up we'll take it and put them in and let's put it in design and then this is where we print out of we print out of InDesign just the Epson 1400 this is waterproof film there's actually a shiny side and then kind of curvy side we what you always put on like the grippy side you know once you separate it out and you'll have your two films you know there's your black there's your red so that's why you have your colors is faso separates out and once everything looks good you know check it out we can go over to exposing the screens then alright so you're going to exposure trains I don't like to have all this excess so I usually kind of come down and gang up your designs on them that way I'm also extra wasting film okay there's our two films I always start off with like these are the bigger part of design which is the main design so we'll start off with making that first let me grab our screen it's black ink I'm coming to a higher mesh screen but at 200 somewhere 203 alright screening analyst tree is labeled so this is your film side this is your squeegee side is the psychic print off so you always want to start from the Sun and so you take your film it's right reading but you because we look at it through that it's been right 60 square line it up roughly centered as it's the two color you want to make sure both films are the same so we're a measure it's all four and three-quarter from the top so I'm just gonna write that down and taking the visible tape tape it down so that way your films on there you print it's going to creating like this and then you exposure you put this rope here allows more air is sucked down the vacuum you always want to make sure that your screens this way with the squeegee side up up down we're using a workhorse in the Tron we're expose about three minutes three seconds Oh expose about a minute laughs I'm hoping this video on 135 mesh sending again wrong green once the beach my next one good thing about these aromas we're back on give it a second and then you just head up and goes back to the same same time you left off go ahead and kill your bill more here you watch out go ahead let those sighs give a second you always all wash off from this side this side feels that side expose so this would be like the more exposed side to be harder it's not gonna like completely wash you look you can see all the emotional emotions coming out it's all the emotions washed out pull it up make sure it is known explosive almost and everything looks good okay once it's fairly dry I go out throw from the fan in five minutes they'll be dry long dress we always kind of line up our palates so we kind of know like restraint center it's late by now half Senate right there so the screams come to mcountdown we're off contact on this side so I need to tilt it a little bit collagen elastane is nobler this side raise the side a little bit although Simon's coming we just your logs I'm kind of precising that's probably fine I like being as precise as possible you know this is line doesn't have much registration to Oh for a the test parents I said using your good blanks are now a detestable place you doesn't matter Rockville Clovis region I like push being on your wrist so I know what it pushes basically the students partially hear the so the next screen that wedding is sticking what and that is how you scream fantasy color any questions just let us know back so preachers of lemon Thanks
