hey this is Don with job interview tools.com I got a question from a customer about how to prepare for a job interview when you're interviewing with the president and the vice president of a company now Murray writes in and she says Don I've already been on my first and second interview now I've got a third interview and I'm going to meet with the president and the vice president should I prepare any differently I really want to get this job won't worry good job on making it to third interview right now I think they're strongly considering you for the job otherwise you really would have made it this far there's no reason to bring you back for a third interview if if they have a lot of doubts about you now but at this point they already feel that you're qualified for the job and what they really want to do is they want to see for themselves they want to see what you're made of they want to see what you work ethic is they want to see how well you work with others are you a team leader or you will follower can you work under pressure you they may ask you to describe a difficult problem and how you dealt with it and I can't say for sure because execs vice presidents they all interview differently so it's hard to say they may just want to go in and have lunch and shake your hand and welcome you I don't know but the third interview is a time for you to close now I usually don't outright ask for the job but I do edge closer I will ask questions like when do you expect to have a final decision or when can I expect to hear from you or you know how many others are you considering offering the position to also in closing tell them everything that they have told you about the company kind of repeat it back to them the opportunities how much you would like to work there and that you feel you be a valuable asset to their team now I don't know if training is involved to get you up to speed but I usually like to tell them that with all my previous experience in training that I feel I'm almost going to be immediately productive being into this new job now depending on the job new employees are usually not immediately productive because they require a whole bunch of training and that just slows down the productivity level so usually do employees aren't making the company any money for the first 1 2 3 months so that's why I like to tell them that I'm ready to go on day one and I'm ready to hit the ground running oh no you need to stand out in the third interview is someone who can do the job requires the least training and is going to work well with everyone else with lots of emphasis on the ladder because if they don't think you're going to get along with your new coworkers you're not going to get the job this is Don Georgevich for job interview tools.com we should do all the best on your interview we'll see you next time
