How To Play Popular Music On Your Twitch Stream WITHOUT Getting Copyright Claimed!

yo what's going on guys it's your boy remrem and here's streamer tips part 8. now in today's video this is for all my obs streamers who want to know how to play some of your favorite music on stream without getting copyright strike now most people may not know this but if you play popular music from spotify or apple music directly on your stream you can get copyright claimed at some point which is very bad for your twitch account simply because after three copyright claims your account can be scheduled for termination and nobody wants that so today i'm going to show you guys how you can avoid that first thing you want to do is learn about the terminology of streaming and what i mean by that is you want to know what a vod is the term vod means video on demand which is basically an archive of all your streams that is listed on your channel some people create clips directly from their vod to post on tick tock or other social platforms and some people create full-on videos from their vod to post on youtube learning about how to utilize your vods is very important towards your success as a content creator and a streamer now to the most important part and that's how to play your favorite music on your stream without being copyright claimed first thing you want to do is open up your obs and go to your settings next you want to go to your left and select the output tab now under where it says audio track you want to enable twitch vod track and make sure your vod track is on a different track than your audio track so for example my audio track is set to 1 so all of my main audio is recorded and streamed through this track and my vod track is set to track 2 so all my audio that is set to this track will be streamed but not recorded next thing you want to do is right click on your audio mixer tab and select advanced audio properties and wherever you have your spotify you want to make sure that you uncheck whichever track you selected for your twitch vod track to be on so for me my vod track was set on track 2 so i'm going to disable my sound for spotify from being recorded on this track now you'll be able to play some of your favorite music in your stream without being copyright claimed if you guys want to see any of these tips put into action you can check out my stream i stream monday through friday at 3 p.m or 6 pm est hopefully you guys found these tips helpful and if you did be sure to like comment share and follow
