hey do you want to take your twitch vods from this uh ryan redeemed roast me like mixer i wish i wish you died to this [Music] well in today's video i got you guys essentially what we're doing is separating your music from your twitch vods so that when people go back to re-watch your streams or you want to go and clip them there's no music so that you avoid the mca and you can use your clips without any background music so you can add your own making editing so much easier so if you liked the video leave a like down below because it helps the video get pushed out to more people on youtube and the youtube algorithm will catch it and make the video go viral and then we'll all be happy right that's how it works right no but for real if you enjoy the content leave a like down below and if you're not subscribed to the channel yet hit the subscribe button because it shows me that you guys like my videos and you want me to make more of them for you that doesn't really stop me from making videos but you get what i mean and i also stream on twitch well gave that away but go follow me there if you want to talk more about this stuff or you want to hang out with the coolest community in the world because we play games and impact and do a lot of just chatting and there's memes and i don't know bring cookies i don't know these are delicious all right with all that out of the way let's just get into the video because that's what you guys are here for right let's go a few things to get out of the way first yes this will help you avoid dmca but i'm not saying to play copyrighted music on your streams because twitch changed the game and now you can get copyright strikes live so guys i urge you don't play copyrighted music on your streams live this is an extra cautionary step to help you just in case some copyrighted music did play during your stream it'll help get rid of that completely this is mainly used so that you can use your twitch clips and post them to tick tock or twitter and not have your background music or your alerts or anything like that play so that they're more easily edible edible editable editable that not edible don't eat your clips now i have a go xlr with my audio set up so i'm going to show you how to do that with a go xlr first and then right after i'm going to show you how to do it if you don't have a go xlr so no worries i got you guys covered for the people who don't have a go xlr you're gonna need to download a program called virtual audio cable it's free it's easy i have the link in the description below so check it out download that first install it and everything like that go through the steps and once it's installed you'll be ready for this tutorial all right with all that out of the way let's jump over to my desktop alright so for people who have the go xlr open the go xlr app and then go into the routing tab and then here you want to uncheck music from the broadcast stream mix row so right here uncheck it you need to uncheck this for this to work because we're going to be adding music to its own channel in obs so we don't want the music double playing in broadcast stream mix and in our own channel so make sure you uncheck this hop on over to obs and then from here what we're going to do go into the settings so click on file settings and then go down to where it says output now make sure that the output mode is on advanced and not simple so that you get all of the settings that we need to work with now if you can see here you have two rows audio track and twitch vod track audio track is what your stream is going to hear twitch vod track are the sounds that your vod is going to have after your stream is done so you're going to want to have audio track on either of these numbers right here for simplicity i just have it on one and then your twitch vaw track first make sure you have this box checked and then pick a number that's not the same as your audio track so either two or above in our case now remember the twitch vod track number or whatever channel you set that to because we're gonna need that here soon in whatever scene you wanna add your music to you're going to click on the plus sign and then you're going to click on audio input capture it's going to come up with a window like this make sure that you select the music channel and then you're going to see that we have a new source called music and then if you go to the audio mixer you can see that right here we have music i'm going to play him song real quick so i can show you and that the music is coming through the music channel right here and not the stream broadcaster the mic right here now one thing to mention for my go xlr users you're not going to be able to control the volume of your music for your audience on your go xlr it'll change the volume for you but not for your stream the way you change it for your stream you have to do it in obs right here with this slider right here now one last thing you have to do go over to the right side for the music channel and click on the cog wheel and then click on advanced audio properties going to bring up a window that looks like this find where it says music right here for us in the bottom and you're going to go over to the right side where it says tracks now this is where that number from the twitch vod track comes into play so since we have our set to 2 in this window you want to uncheck the number 2 because again that twitch vod track is all the sounds and music that will show up in your twitch vod so if you don't want your music to show up in your twitch pod you have to uncheck that channel right here so once you have that unchecked click close and then this is what your twitch vod will sound like move your rhythm to the hips that doesn't make sense but in my country it does now for people who don't have a go xlr it's pretty simple to set up as well go to your web browser and type in virtual audio cable it's gonna be the first link right here vb audio virtual cable go ahead and download this and go through the whole installation process now once you have it installed back in your obs we're gonna do the same exact thing make sure you go to your settings go to your output and then make sure your audio track is on one and then your twitch vod track is on a two or whatever number that's not one and then in whatever scene that you want to split the music from we're going to click on the plus sign and click on audio input capture it'll bring up this window again and then in the drop down menu make sure we click on cable input the vb audio virtual cable and then we're going to want to do is open up your spotify and start playing a song and we can't hear it right now because we have to set it up so go down to the bottom right right click the speakers and go to open sound settings from here scroll all the way down to app volume and device preferences and you can see that the music is right here in the output column right here for spotify click on the drop down and make sure that it's on cable input just like that and then once you have that set up you can see that the music is playing output in obs and then lastly all you have to do is click on the cogwheel advanced audio properties and then remember whatever number you set that twitch vod track to uncheck it so for us it's track 2 i uncheck it so the music doesn't come up in the twitch vod but my viewers will be able to hear it during stream now one thing that does suck about this is that you will not be able to hear the music on your end but your viewers will be able to hear it all right well with all that said and done now you should be set now you should not have to worry about your music playing in your twitch pods or your clips or anything like that so you can avoid dmca and then you can edit your clips easier with whatever music that you want to put in your clips so guys let me know if you liked the video leave a comment down below because i edited this video a little bit differently i wanted to put more of my personality into it for you i wanted to make it more fast-paced so that we can just get to the point because i know people's attention spans including mine are of a goldfish goldfish and that's not a jab at you because that's just how the world is now with tick-tock and everything and i forgot what i was even saying but anyway and hey reminder if you're not feeling motivated anymore or you're struggling with your twitch streams check out this video right here it was my last video uploaded and it'll probably help you out guys stay safe stay happy and i'll see you at the next video
