How to patch Drywall from Light Fixture Hole

how's it going guys steven from brake free homestead today i'm going to answer your question we are redoing our kitchen currently on our uh kitchen edition type thing and we relocated our ceiling lights so this is no longer needed and i'm sure you're wondering how do you fill this in the simple way to do this is [Music] real quick guys if this helps you out at all drop down below hit that like and subscribe button really helps the channel as we grow if you have any questions or comments drop those down below we'll try to answer them as best as we can all right so we have this hole and if it's a two by four so you cut a two by four bigger than this okay bigger than the diameter of your hole you're gonna kind of push your insulation out of the way up there and then you're gonna slide your two by four in all right so that's up there now and you're gonna try to move it so now this is basically covering two thirds of this hole now we're gonna hold it down with our fingers while we just throw a drywall screw right through the outside of the hole boom there's one there's two do however many makes you feel good you know it's nothing crazy you're gonna hold a little tiny piece of drywall in there so you can have a backer all right you guys thought i was drinking coffee i'm not we're gonna use this just so it happens it's the perfect size for the drywall that we need to fill in so this is our stencil for our hole try your coffee mugs i'm sure you have a coffee mug that is the right size we're gonna go trace this on get this cut out slap that in there we'll be done with this stupid hole all right guys so you can just use whatever saw you want jigsaw uh a hand drywall saw we have the mist has a scroll saw so she's just gonna use that it's gonna be pretty um a clean cut so all right guys we'll get this uh this uh patch cut i'm gonna throw it right in there all right let's get some screws up in there we're gonna put three screws uh just so it doesn't like drop screws here screws there oh baby all right guys in all seriousness if this helped you out at all drop down below give us a like and subscribe really appreciate it love to have you join us [Music] you
