[Music] so i'm going to show you how to organize your files in remarkable this is a remarkable one but the remarkable 2 has the exact same software so everything i'm about to say applies to remarkable 2 as well first thing i would say is have a good folder structure and decide what your main uses are going to be for your remarkable before you go ahead organizing your files in remarkable is really really easy but what i suggest you do to get it right and make it work well for you is that you give yourself a really good folder structure right from the outset so i split up my folders into some various locations this is my planner this is where i keep my notes for the week ahead and i even have an old planners file in there to allow me to chuck all my other weeks that i'm done with or these are actually fortnite planners but it's like a little archive so i'm straight away going to whatever my latest planner is and as you see i've been a little bit slop stopping i've got too much now in the route so what i'm just going to do is go through and select these these are all some readings i've been doing for project that i've been doing [Music] i can move those into that projects folder into the readings file and move here really straightforward to do that just once every now and then you want to tidy up your file structures those are all things that were imported directly from the remarkable web app which is a really easy way to do and i'll show you that on a different video the reason i bought the remarkable was actually because i watched a video with this really clever way of organizing the files and the thing he said was to use a really large stroke pen and give your pages really large headings so you can see them easily in this view what's actually on the page so i can see this one this one is my page about effective feedback to people who are being observed and i can see that in the page over overview area here i think that's really fantastic so when i want to make a clear heading i use the paint brush tool and i write nice and bold at the top of the page and then when i go into that page overview mode i'll be able to see oh that's my nice and bold page and i'll be able to skip quickly to that useful it's incredibly easy to make new folders and new notebooks within them whenever you just need to scribble something down though if you click on quick sheets then it adds an extra page onto the quick sheets and you could then take that quick sheet and duplicate it as a new file somewhere else and then you could delete the old one and just have a blank quick quick sheets ready to go what is more is that in the update 2.6 there is a new feature which allows you to actually have hyperlinked pdfs and that could actually be a game changer for organizing your files or at least your pages within a file there are loads of people who have already made hyperlinked blank pdf template and they have basically a contents page on which you can scribble what is on each page and you can hyperlink and navigate between pages on the actual notebook itself or of course you can very easily make your own word document and export as a pdf with hyperlinks to navigate between different pages i hope that was useful if you've got any more questions about using your remarkable or if you're just interested in using it as a professional then hit me up in the comments section below
