setting up your day for daily productivity with the remarkable to well I've got a system for you called the single sheet method so let's get into [Music] this hey hey JB here excited that you're with me today I'm going to go over some ideas and thoughts on the remarkable two and how as we come into 2024 you're going to be able to really get organized one of my biggest videos last year was daily productivity with the remarkable to and I want to show you the systems we use and also you can go get these over at morning coach.com we give our planner away we give our single sheet away and this video video is going to be specifically about the single sheet so let's get right in it let's look at the remarkable first thing I want want you to look at is I want you to look at your files now the way that I set up my files here is we have an 01 planning O2 dungeon and Dragons 03 um YouTube and 04 speaking you can have as many files you want but what's great is when you put this in alphabetical by search it's going to allow you to be able to find your files easier easy easier easier so we're going to go in the planning folder today and basically I have a few few files in here one is just a generic to-do that's for brainstorming and masterminding uh the single sheet which we're going to go over today we have the 2024 planner which will be available real soon we're adding some bookmarks to it this week I'm excited about that and then the 2023 planner but let's go ahead and go the today is going to be about the single sheet and we're going to talk about how this works so we're going to open that up uh we have the single sheet in place okay and as you can see there's various aspects of it and I'll break those down real quick the sacred six is a philosophy or a way to get things done uh that I brought to the world in a book called The Sacred six it's basically the most important things you need to get done to the day for the day they're going to they're going to really lead to your efficiency understanding pral principle and things that you're doing if you understand the sacred six it's just not a to-do list that's why it's sacred it's about a structure and organization of what you're doing it actually goes all the way back to Ivy Lee and the steel mills there's a lot to it but it will um the sacred six will help you get organized by the way I got a little light set up you can see it here so they add some brightness we could probably take that away if we take that away see the remarkable gets a little dirty or a little dark um so I'm going to leave it here so there might be a little Shadow uh and that's one of the Char istics is remarkable too some people don't like it doesn't have a light it makes it tough for us reviewers but hey I got a little light here it works okay so sacred six that's what it is M to do is like your milk and things that you need to do uh that aren't really sacred but you we all have those things we have some am gratitude and then we have a schedule within the framework of my system at morning coach we have a daily coach cast that we do every single day I've done over 5,000 literally helped thousands of people around the world planet has been downloaded tens of thousands of time times in so we're really into an organizational system well with that when you get up in the morning you listen to the morning code show the way this works and then you put your schedule in here so this is not meant from the single sheet method to be a planner what we would suggest is you use like Google uh your Google calendar your Apple calendar for your scheduler but this is setting up your morning for success that's really what we're doing we got the single sheet up you're here and you're remarkable okay what am I doing today okay so you're going to know what you've got going on you're you've got your goals that you're going to put in here the things you're uh um working on and then you have your reading the we're big readers we do a book study every month so what are you reading what are you uh working on and then a little note section this is a little different this year uh we changed that up a little bit of course we have consistency this is a big area up here consistency is an area where you're going to write down things that you're looking to create new habits with and maybe it's like you're going to quit drinking so you put drinking down and then you keep as many uh times in a row that you've done it's a game that you kind of play and also the negative um how many times you haven't done it for example let's say Spanish you're trying to learn a language right you put Spanish in there so we'd write Spanish in there and I'll do it in a minute because I want to show you how it works and then you would keep a number there and so we would keep that number positive until uh you didn't do it and then it would be negative and you would know hey I've got to go back and and kind of uh you know do this a little bit more because I'm not working on my Spanish okay so the sheet set up uh we've got it all set up ready to go what do we do well what I would suggest is that you use layers so this is one of the great things about the remarkable 2 uh it has a layer system so the things that you want to keep you want to put on layer one so I'm going to put in here like I discussed like let's say drinking is here okay because you don't want to race that every day we want that to come over and over and let's say we want a th um plus new members in morning coach.com let's just put that and that's our business over a morning coach in our coaching program okay so that's a goal that you don't want to erase so the things you don't want to erase and let's say guitar you're learning guitar maybe Spanish um a couple things maybe you're working on your health all right and you'll find typically this pretty much stays the same though there are some systems that we put together that'll allow you to understand when you should be working with this uh and and when you change it out but these are then on layer one let's keep it simple right now okay so layer one we've got it then let's go to Layer Two these are things that you're going to change so we're going to add new layer okay now we're working in Layer Two and we're going to put the things we need to do today so let's say uh you need to blog today maybe you need to write um 3,000 words on your book maybe you need to uh let's see work on your website okay some things you might need to do today so you put those down those are the things that you need to do that are really sacred and then maybe you need to pick up milk okay so now we've got some things that we're doing now our reading let's say we're reading malaz on the book of the Fallen book 10 that's I'm a nerd I'm reading that I love that uh book 10 okay so I'm on book 10 uh page whatever 365 chapter 6 okay so that's all in the single sheet right so we're here we've got then we can put our schedule in again because we're going to clear that off we want to make sure we're in Layer Two let's jble Tech yes we're in Layer Two so let's say you have a dentist appointment here and you have a couple coaching call calls in the afternoon that you need to get on you need to talk to your coach Okay so we've got that in there and maybe you got to pick the kids up let's say pick the kids up kids up Okay so we've got some things in there now as you're going through the day one of the cool things is is you get a dopamine hit when you check things off so let's say you get your blog done let's say you get you get your writing 3000 done okay you're good to go but you didn't get the website done so what I would do is I would go back to layer one okay and I'm going to put website down here just to remember because I didn't get it done okay and then what I'm doing end of the day right so I got my stuff done oh and by the way let's go back to Layer Two we're going to put our numbers for our our uh drinking let's say we've been 20 days no drinking let's say we spent 10 days with guitar we haven't studied Spanish so we're minus four there and let's say we begin keeping our health for 15 days okay so we're doing good with our consistency and we have our date so let's just put 1024 20 three and I don't know if that's a Wednesday or Thursday but I'm going to put that in there okay so now we've got everything set up that we're working on okay and we're using layers so at the end of the day it's like okay I got everything done but the website so what am I going to do I'm going to check those off as I'm going through the day I know I went to the dentist I got all my stuff done so it's the end of the day or the next morning you come in here and you just delete Layer Two boom there you go you have a whole new Fresh Start you have your website here personally I would erase that that and then with the sacred six uh principles we go back to layer we add another layer right so now we're Layer Two and we would put website here is number one the number one thing we got to do and then we would add the other things we got to do to day then we go hey we didn't drink 21 days we did six on guitar uh we didn't study so we're now minus five we need to get on Spanish today and I think we're on 16 on health uh we can put our malison reading in here and again if you want to keep these this might be a layer three and then you just erase your chapter that's what's great about working with layers and notes you could either keep on layer one or Layer Two in our planning system which will be in next video You're Going see we got the whole dated planner in fact I'll just give you a quick snapshot of it when you're in your planner okay and we've got a ton of navigation coming when we come home oh there I was on a page let's go January let's go to January and you can grab this planner at morningcoach uh.com you're going to see it's dated so it's a little different so you can leave everything on here you don't really need to get into layers and again I will get into that in another video but in the single sheet system and I do the single sheet system once in a while maybe I'm really busy I'll use a whiteboard there's times when I don't use my specific planning method and that's okay our planning systems that's what's really great about them is they're very flexible in the way they work we've actually got a lot of people using just the remarkable to as their planner like the old Franklin planner and they're using our planning systems single sheet and their 2023 2024 obviously those are different years planners just the same setup and it works really well and that's all they're using their remarkable to for it's like you know a $500 I think it's like 350 now Franklin cover cvy planner so it's like I'm just planning with it but I want to show you the markable 2 and the single sheet because it is a very powerful way to do this you go go over at my site get this for free we're actually making notepads of this we do have journals uh on Amazon that people order that like paper and pencil but we do all the devices in fact on the channel I'm going to be doing how to organize with the iPad how to do iPad I phone all those things are coming this year I'm back in the studio so we're getting ready to work uh so if you have
