How to Make Your Own Manga or Comic Page

hi there while I was cleaning I found these old comic pages so I decided to remake them today I'm going to be showing you guys my process and recreating these pages I'll be using Copic markers as a screen tone substitute my multi liner pen a pencil and eraser and of course manga paper what is manga paper you ask well it's this paper that has all these little numbers on the side so that you can use a ruler to make perfectly straight lines and now you're all ready to go so you'll want to start off by thinking of an idea and laying out the whole page in your head once you have it all mapped out you can start trying it on paper it might not necessarily work out the first time and you might have to make a lot of changes but eventually it'll all come together yeah so this is just the rough draft it doesn't have to be perfect I'm just doing a really quick sketch of the layout of a page and just sort of the face expressions where I'm going to have the speech bubbles I'm also going to write in whatever one's going to say because I'll just make it easier to have everything kind of go together and make sure that I have enough speeches I have enough space in all the speech bubbles and I'm going to draw the more final sketch just sort of clean it up and draw over or completely redraw the quick sketches that I made so this is going to be what I'm going to do I'm going to line later so this is a pretty final sketch fairly detailed I actually make a lot of changes during this process because once I start putting in more details and seeing what I need to do I often notice that certain things don't fit or work quite right you okay now on to line art line art is a very long process for me and I'm not really that great at it so I kind of skipped around here so you guys don't have to watch me do line art for a really long time I'm going to erase all the pencil lines except for the words that I wrote in the speech bubble since those I'm going to not ink since I'm going to try to type this in later now I'm moving on to adding tones to the panel's and because this is sort of in a more of a comic-book style I'm not going to be using a lot of markers or a lot of shadows or different tones or any sort of fancy coloring because unlike my usual drawings which you can see on the Left manga or comics they tend to have very simple shadows and not a lot of levels so because I want to try to copy that sort of style I'm only using about three different markers for this and that's all I hope this video is helpful thank you for watching and see you next time bye
