hello friends welcome back this is amit from magnet and today i am going to show you this underwater wheel scene so first take a look what we are going to create [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] so before i start i really like to thank ftfe and kalai arasan who has joined me as a member so there is nothing extra if you join me as a member but if you really like to support me please join me as a member and i really really glad that those people are joining me here so i really like to thank them again so thank you very much for joining me as a member so if you like these videos i recommend you to check my youtube channel and you will find so many other videos like this that i made inside element 3d and i hope you will like this and if you like those videos please subscribe this channel so let's get started so first we create a new composition so go ahead and create a new composition here and the width and height looks nice and hit ok and then we create a solid go to the effect and go to the generate and then the gradient ram so for the end color we choose the this one and in the start color we select something lighter maybe we make this this end color to be more dark just like this and hit okay and then we maybe we create this radial ramp and make it higher and the end color should be here somewhere in here okay so this is our background plane and now we're going to create a light rays coming above the sea surface okay so for this we're going to create a layer and go to create the layer new and solid and then hit ok and we apply the fractal noise so for this go to the effect and go to the noise and gain and choose the fractal noise here okay then we go to the fractal type go under the basic we just change this dynamic progressive okay and then we change this to inward and then go to the brightness we can decrease the brightness and increase the contrast little bit here and then we set the keyframe here in the evolution so for this we're going to create a expression here so press and hold alt and click here in stopwatch here and type time times maybe 100 so let's see this is the evolution okay so now we select this solid and pick this pen tool and create a mask something like this just like this okay so here is the mask now we select this solid again and change this switch and change the blending mode to maybe something screen or so okay so now we create the light rays here so for this go we go to the after effect and presets panel here and type cc light cc light burst 2.5 just select this okay and then we select the center point here and make it somewhere in the top like this and then we change this bus type to straight okay so now you can see it is going to straight and then we increase the light ray length here it will take little time [Music] and also increase this little bit more okay so now you will get this nice light trace from the above the sea level and if you scrub through time here if we go to the half bridge here and you can see some little bit of evolution okay so you can see little bit of light evolution also occurring here so this is what we want here okay so this look nice for now but we still missing the surface water surface here so for this i am going to create a new composition here so create a new composition and in this we change this width to maybe 2000 and as well as the height also 2000 okay make it a square shape composition and hit ok so now we're going to apply fractal noise here as well so first we create a solid for this and then go to the effect noise and gain and make a fractal noise here okay so do the same as before change this noise type to dynamic progressive and invert this and then we increase the contrast and decrease the brightness little bit here just like this and then we go to the transform and decrease the scale or maybe we increase the scale just like this okay so something like this and then we also do the same to the evolution so press and hold alt and click on this stopwatch here and again type time times maybe 100 and then you can see the evolution look nice okay so this will be the surface so you can directly use this composition to your main composition just if you drag this composition to your composition like this you can use this but if you really want to fasten your ram preview you can render this video out and then use the output video so i did the same here and i render this composition like this and here it is look like this and i'm using this video as the water surface so i drag this light ray video that i just render and drag this to here in between these two layers okay and then i going to change this layer to as 3d so just toggle the switch here just click here and you will find this option here okay so then after that we press a a and change this except light switch to off but we don't have any light here so you will notice that there is nothing change but later on when we use element 3d we will going to apply light so this will affect them now we press r to bring the rotation value of this layer and change the x rotation to 90 degree okay and then select this and press p and just change the y position value just like this and also place it here okay so now i am going to increase the scale as well so shift press s to bring the scale value and increase the scale as well okay so after that i am going to use the mask here so for this i'm going to use this ellipse mask tool here and double click on this and then expand this mask properties here and decrease the mask expansion just like this and increase the feather okay little bit like this and maybe we change the mask little bit here okay so now you can see it looks something like this but we change this transform option here so we change this normal to maybe screen okay so now you look something like that the ocean surface from the bottom side okay so this look amazing and maybe you can in change the transparency of this layer so press t to bring the opacity value and decrease this little bit more just like this okay so this look nice so this is the underwater seam and it is the basic underwater scene inside after effect so if you don't want the wells in here you can use this as a cool title design so if you type something in here just like your text and place it here somewhere in the middle and then you can duplicate this okay and after that in the top text you can apply the same effect that is the cc light blur brushed and again we do the same that is change this center to somewhere in the top and maybe we can change the color to black or something so just change this to black and place it at the bottom here and you can get a nice shadow here okay so if you want you can decrease the opacity little bit and you can get a nice title design here so if you bring the top okay so you can use this as a title but we're going to use some well here okay so for this i'm going to use element 3d so for this go to the layer new and create a solid here and name this as element and hit ok so now go over the effect and presets and type element and you will get the video copilot element just double click on this and then we go to the scene setup so here we are inside the element 3d so i am using a obj sequence of the well so i'm also give this obj sequence model in the description link so you will get this from there so let's find the model here so here is the model and i just save a preset here so i if i just click on this it will appear here so this look not so good but it will works well for this demonstration so if you change this start frame or end frame you will see the animation here okay so this look amazing so i just press ok here and you can see it appear in here so first we go to the group number one and create a group null for this okay and then we press r to bring the rotation value and change the rotation to maybe 90 degree or so so it will face towards the left side here so now first we create a camera for our scene so create a new camera and 28 look nice and neat okay so now you can see that the ocean surface look weird here so what do we have to do that we just changed this mask lines here just like this and you will get the nice result here okay so this look amazing and now we're going to apply the light so this is most important part of this scene because if you do a proper lighting it look real so for this i'm going to go to the layer new and create a light here so for this i'm going to use a parallel light and the light color should be white maybe little bit of blue haze here and intensity maybe 200 or 300 will change later on according to our scene so now hit okay and in instant it look very gross so we have to change the settings so select the parallel light layer and place it somewhere in the top here okay and maybe we select the position of the light and in decrease the y position and maybe also increase the x z position of the light just like this so just we going to make a light from the above of the sea level see surface and also we do the same to from the bottom but this time we decrease the light intensity very less amount so just duplicate this light and go to the light settings first and change this color to maybe little bit of more bluish and hit ok and then also hit ok and then press p to bring the position value and change and place this light from the behind from the underneath of the well okay but you can see this light intensity is too intense so first we change the light intensity so type t to bring the light in intensity value and decrease this just like this just we make he'll bounce light that comes from the water okay so this look amazing for now so now if you scrub through time you will see a little bit of movement to the well and then we're going to create some water particles so for this i'm going to use trapcode particular so for this we're going to create a new solid for this and name this as particular and hit ok then go to the effect and presets type particular and select this uh trapcode particular just double click on this so this looks something like this but we go into the designer tab here and then inside this preset we using this horizontal dust okay so now we don't need to change anything here so just press apply here and you will instantly get a nice particle filled here okay so if you play this you will see let me make a ram preview quick ram preview here so press 0 to ram preview okay the animation looks something like this so if we play this you can see this looks something like this but we need to place this element layer under this light rays so you can get a nice light coming over the well here so this look amazing okay so now we're going to make some more changes to make it more interesting so for this i'm going to first go to the camera and select this camera tool here and maybe we place the camera somewhere in here okay and also we do the go to the light rays layer and place it little bit higher higher here and then if we move our camera here we can see this okay and also select this and place it little bit here okay so this look nice and then we go to element layer again and maybe we use some other well here so for this go to the scene setup and place this hole into other groups that is group number two so for this we press and hold the shift switch key and select this number two group as well and then hit okay so this looks something like this but for now we're going to go to the group number one and copy the all the properties and go to the group number two and paste it here okay so this overlapping here because it has the same settings but we go to the group number two particle replicator here and go to the plane and increase the count just like this and then we go to the shape scale here we increase the shape scale and also go to the scatter option here and if you don't find the scatter option you will find this replicator effect here so in usually it is collapse and if you expand this under this you can get this scatter option here so we just scatter this just like this okay and then we go to the particle look and decrease the particle size to very low that we're going to create some baby well here okay this is the idea and when you decrease the size you can see the scale shape is more larger here so we going to again we decrease the scale shape here just like this and maybe we decrease the y scatter value okay just like this and we also decrease the wise axis value here and if you want you can decrease the particle count little bit okay so now it look something like this okay but you can see that all the baby holes moving same okay so for this we're going to make some little bit of variation here so first we make the size randomness here so just make a little room here and decrease the randomization to its size little bit and then we go to the bake animation option here and after that you go to the loop mode here we just increase change this to random loop so we will get little bit of randomization to its animation and if you want you can increase this playback speed to maybe 200 so you can get a quick animation to the baby holes as well okay so now we create some little bit of camera movement so select this camera and we have the point of interest and we also need the position value of the camera so press and hold shift key and press p to bring the position value as well so make a keyframe here at the initial frame and at the very end frame we make some camera movement here just like this but you can see that the above ocean surface is overlapping our well so it because that our element layer is underneath this light rays solid layer here so we need to bring this light ray solid underneath the element layer okay so then you will get that our ocean surface is not overlying our element layer so this look nice i guess or maybe we can place our ocean surface little bit more top here so we'll get a nice parallax here and maybe we increase the scale i mean increase the scale of this uh you can do one thing that just select this ocean surface and go to the effect and preset and type motion tile and select this effect here and increase this width amount turn on this mirror edge is okay so now you can get a nice result here so this look nice for now or yes we're going to make a camera movement so make something here so let's see how it looked like now okay so this look amazing for now okay so now we're going to apply some rotation to the well so for this we're going to the group number one here and go to the particle loop and then we go to the particle rotation and here you will rotate the z axis rotation only just like this okay so maybe we go to the initial frame here and make a keyframe to the z rotation value here or maybe we make a initial rotation just like this and then we go to the maybe 10 seconds and press n to end this composition area and trim this comp area and we rotate this just like this okay so let's see how it look like now okay so you will get a little bit of rotation to the well movement as well and do the same for the baby wells as well so just go to the group number two and then go to the particle loop option here and go to the particle rotation and then we make a keyframe here or maybe you can randomize if you want to randomize rotation to the baby well you can do this from there that is the randomized rotation randomize x y z make a keyframe here and go to the very end and increase the rotation value so in this way you will get a random rotation to the baby wheels okay so if not look that all the wheels rotate in the same direction so it will get a little bit of randomization or if you think that the baby oil size is little bit too low you can also increase the size to maybe [Music] one or so so you'll get a little bigger well but maybe we can increase the light little bit more just like this okay and maybe we increase the particle size randomness so now you will get a nice result here okay so this look amazing so far and now we do some color correction and to make it more realistic so first we go to our base layer that is the gradient layer maybe we can change this end ramp color somewhere in here so make a little bit darker bottom here okay and then we maybe change the font color to little bit more dark here just like this okay and then we go to the element layer and do some settings to our render settings to the well so go to the render settings here go to the shadow tab and enable the shadow and maybe our shadow mapping is not work properly here so we change this to red trace here so we'll get a little bit of shadow okay and if you want uh if you don't want that our bottom light making any shadow so you can also change the settings from the group i mean the parallel light number two that is our bottom light and press a and there is a option that the cast shadow is default is turned on you can turn this off so our bottom light will no longer to make or create any shadow to our object here okay so this look nice then again we go to the element layer and go to the ambient occlusion and enable this maybe we increase the intensity of the ambient occlusion so make a little bit of contact shadow here okay so this look nice and finally we go to the fog option and choose some color from the scene here and turn this on [Music] and then we increase the fog opacity and also increase the start distance okay so we'll get little bit of depth to our sim or maybe we can change this start range and maybe we change this to exponential okay so this look right for now so let's see this looks something like this okay so now we going to make some light obstruction by this well so for this we're going to duplicate our element layer and you can see that our element only the solo element will look like this and for the timing we solo this and go to the effect and go to the color correction and apply the tint effect here and make all the sim is to black so just change the color to black here so nothing will show here and unsolo this and for now this looks something like this select this element layer and again we apply the same effect that we use before that is the cc light blast 2.5 and i am using this effect more often now and just apply this to the layer and then we select our parallel light that is the light number one and let's see there is the light so go to the element layer and select the center point here and just place it here okay so now you can see it creates a nice i mean the nice obstruction to the light and it really feels that it is a dense surface and making the light obstruction here to the god rays but you can see that our this chord rays is not matching this rays so we do also we have to change the settings to the this light rays layer that is this solid layer and you can see that the center point is somewhere in the hair but we need to change this same place to our light just like this and now you can see that all the light rays are matching and all those are parallel so now it look right okay so this look amazing so this is all done here and now do some color correction so first we make a little bit of noise here so go to the layer new and create adjustment layer here go to the effect and then go to the noise and grain and select the noise effect here and maybe we make a noise to maybe five percent noise or if you think it is too much you can decrease this to maybe three or so okay so inside the water maybe there is some grain because there is a lack of light okay so this look amazing so now we go to the layer new and create another adjustment layer and do this we create a new color correction curve effect and increase the contrast little bit just like this okay so you can see that our scene look little bit more interesting from now okay so again we create a new adjustment layer and on this we're going to apply a third party color correction tool that is the magic bullet look effect so just apply this and go to the edit and then we're going to apply a little bit and then we're going to apply some maybe this one look nice for now and hit okay and maybe we can we go to the edit option and use some bloom so i use this diffusion apply this and change the settings okay so this look amazing and now hit okay here so you can see this look really amazing and so let's make it full resolution here and you can get a nice result okay so maybe we can make it a press for now and again we go to the adjustment layer create a new adjustment layer and go to the blur and sharpness and increase the sharpness little bit okay so you'll get a nice sharp result here if you go to the full race you'll get a nice result okay so let's see the ram preview okay the ramp will look nice but i think the particle movement is little bit too fast and the particle look not so cool so we need to do some changes to the particle layer as well so first you go to the particle layer that is this one and at the initial step the particle is not appearing here so we need to change change this particle layer here so now you can see that the particle can spawn at the beginning okay but our particle look not so good so for this we're going to firstly go to the particle uh effect particle tab here and here we change this particle type from spare to cordless okay and then we decrease the particle size and increase the randomness okay and then we go to the opacity we decrease the opacity and increase the opposite randomness to 100 percent okay and then we change this particle transform mode to i mean the blending mode to screen [Music] or maybe overlay okay so you will get little bit of particle here and if you want you can increase the particle size to make it little visible here not much okay and then we go to the physics tab and then we go to the air option here and decrease the wind speed to maybe [Music] 68 let's see how it look like okay now you can see that the particle movement is little bit too slow and this make the scene may be very dense but you can do one thing as well go to the emitter and there is a velocity option we change this to maybe 10 [Music] okay so let's see this look right and maybe we go to the emitter size and unlink the xyz emitter and increase the z particle emitter scale so let's see we'll get little bit of more parallax here or maybe you can increase the velocity to maybe 40. okay so now this looks nice and again we go to the camera and make a little bit of camera shake so press a to bring the point of interest and press and hold alt and click on the stopwatch here and type google and the brackets and inside the bracket maybe type 2 comma 100 let's see or if you think that the camera shake is little bit too high you can change this to maybe 1 and 50 maybe i mean 50 so let's make a quick amplitude here okay so let's see maybe our camera movement still little high so maybe we can change this to maybe point five if we change this to maybe quarter and make a ramp here okay so let's see this look amazing but our camera movement is not so good so we again we go to the very end frame here and make a movement here and you can see that the surface is not look right here so go to the light rays and maybe we increase the scale again and place it here and place this here maybe okay so now this look amazing and if you want the movement of the well little bit too quick you can go to the element layer and then we go to the group number one that holds this main mother wheel here go to the back animation and change the animation speed to keep 150 percent and if you change here you can do the same change to the upper element layer as well so just copy the value and go to the upper element layer go to the group number one and then we go to the bake animation and just paste the value here okay so you will get little bit of quick movement to the main well here as well so this is the trick here so i hope you get the idea how i did this and if you go to the full resolution here you will get a nice result here so this is the trick and this is the this is how i create this scene so i hope you enjoyed this tutorial and if you like this tutorial i hope you will check my other videos and if you like those videos please subscribe this channel so we will see in the next video so till then take care and bye [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] uh [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] you
