[Music] right we are back back back back back in D's kitchen good morning morning I am so happy to be in the kitchen again with you parents and again with you family we love you guys first of all how are you two doing we're doing wonderful good good if you are new to the channel you are looking at my parents that is Mommy and that is Daddy this is Daddy's Kitchen and the voice that you hear I am Sasha I am their daughter one of their children and they are teaching me how to cook but not just me a whole lot of You O people o people okay so we are so happy that you're here whether you have been with us since the very beginning halfway through or this is your very first time we are so happy that you are here in the kitchen with us and we're not gonna waste any time because holiday season not come the true mommy and daddy yes and you know our Thanksgiving is already gone but the US Thanksgiving is coming up so you know where we cook today okay so because it is the holiday season I am not going to waste any more time and I'm just going to go straight to it mommy and daddy where we are make today Ro turkey cheese have mercy God have mercy look P him turkey is ready to be made and we are going to get straight into it so where do we begin okay we're going to season our turkey okay all right first we're going to put some sister Maggi on it Maggie Out Sister Maggie I call this liquid Maggie seasoning sister Maggie uhhuh because she's so sweet yes okay so so I'm going to sprinkle some on it all right all over and then I'm going to rub it on okay just like that and daddy you usually say like not to kill it too too much because it's salty but I guess is this is also a really big bird so this a big bird mhm you have to make sure some of the mag go inside not true yeah man honestly I would be so intimidated by take care of the bird before fly out of the pond get life again oh man okay so okay now I coat it with my sister Maggie okay I have some natural seasoning here green onions scallion onion and garlic and Thyme okay and I have some dry seasoning right here okay and I put everything everything together okay so you're going to show me what that everything is though and all of these seasonings is right here okay I have Mento onion powder garlic powder All Purpose seasoning seasoning salt chicken seasoning black pepper smok paprika okay so you you didn't you didn't waste no time you you snapped on the seasonings yeah okay we like that because we're like a good season up season up food all of these are right here okay and how much would you say what a tablespoon a teaspoon each I put a a teaspoon and a half each okay right here so what I'm going to do I'm going to add it to my natural seasoning interesting yes mix it up MH and then I'm going to put some oil in it and turn it into a wet rub so we have avocado H oil it has a high um heat um it goes very high where where the heat is concerned so we're going to put some in here pour it on pour it on pour it on more more more yes okay all right I thought I have a spoon here oh it's right right here right here father know dream man yes so I'm going to mix it all up and I turn it this into a wet rub and guys if you hear a sound in the background that's because our oven is heating up so guys question should they be preh heating their oven right now yes yes they should be Sor that was a delayed moment yeah okay all right so and we we are preheated wee preheated it to 3 350 okay okay so now I'm going to use my hand my hand is clean wash wash your hand them I'm going to rub it on you H wow wow wow guys you are about to make the best turkey you have ever made this holiday season whether it is whether you're celebrating Thanksgiving whether you're a Christmas celebrator whether you're a h whatever you're celebrating if you are making a big bird like this and you follow it I know you're about to M you're going to be the smell the rub already M so clearly clearly you just got to get in there yes in and out and I'm using everything oh see this is the neck that the neck was inside a me that's mine but it's actually usually mummy so so I'm putting everything on it all of it okay M you can smell you can smell it already FL gosh flavors on flavors on flavors looks good has a nice color already God is good M God is good man m when he create all these flavors all the mercy awesome okay guys so now we're going to be injecting into the the turkey okay so we're going to be making the inject injectable I said injectables okay so I have some um chicken broth all right I have a stick of but butter o so the chicken broth was already like heating up heating up heting up I'll turn the fire a little cuz I I want it to melt into the chicken broth okay okay so I'll turn on the fire a little bit I don't want it to boil but I want it to melt out totally into that um liquid into the broth okay so um you have the heat on like what medium I have it on medium yes okay okay so you're going to add some seasoning I'm going to add some seasoning to it too okay so I have some chicken iy chicken seasoning okay so I'm going to sprinkle that in there so that we can inject the chick the turkey sorry chicken the turkey so that it can have a really nice flavor mhm okay I'm excited about this I think this is onion powder and this is some onion powder and this is some garlic powder about give her a take how much do you think that you add I think a a teaspoon of each okay to the quantity that I have there okay and I am going to just mix it so we we're allowing that butter to melt in it Okay Melt but not boil no we don't want it to boil because then it's going to be really hot to um put it into the the syringe okay over here turn out your fire yeah will melt the butter yeah that will melt the butter okay guys so now that the butter is melted all right we're going to be pulling it it up into our uh syringe here so I bought this syringe on Amazon and it's a marinade injector okay it's a 1 oz okay and it came with um two needles okay two needles and it came with a brush to clean the needles okay okay so um this is actually our first time trying to inject the the turkey I've seen that before it's actually really exciting I'm excited to see it in real life okay so I'm going to be make sure this is tight there I'm going to be pulling up the plunger okay that it has a plunger there okay so what I'm going to be doing I'm going to be pulling up some of the butter and the seasoning in it there okay and then I am going to be we're going to be injecting all over over I'm going to Hing the turkey right in the breast wow I would have put the whole syringe in one thing but I guess you see you see this part it just puffed up interesting got all the dressing is right in [Music] there okay so this is how you make sure that it's really like juicy and flavor tender yeah okay cuz I think a lot of people Mommy a lot of people are always talking about how they end up with a dry turkey or a tasteless turkey tasteless yes mhm so I guess this will help you yeah retain some flavor yes see that interesting you see that y'all that's flavors you got to get on Amazon like Mommy said and get you yourself a syringe that's what it's called right a syringe M yeah a Marin marinade injector a marinade injector Deluxe marinade in injector 1 oz okay and so you just kind of like put that all over do you put it into the wings put it in your leg okay oh yeah I see it puffing up a little bit yeah and you don't mind it it's the amount that's coming out okay it's not going anywhere okay all right and then you just continue and then we move on to the next step okay we're going to make the stuffing stuffing yeah I have three tbsp of butter in here and turn the fire on they were actually they weren't sure if they were going to do stuffing originally but because we have well we have Stove Top Stuffing I know some people are like we make our stuffing from scratch I know but they weren't even going to put stuffing in here you guys so you better be happy okay all right so let's do this okay so I have some onions here I dice all right I'm going to saute it what's the stove heat on Daddy maximum maximum okay yeah I should have some celery inside here but I don't have any so I'm just using onions and we love on onions yeah so I'm just going to let it sauteed [Music] okay sweat it [Music] off so usually like according to the stove top um instructions it says that you're supposed to use water um and then put the stuffing in but you Daddy I heard you say I'm using chicken stock chicken stock yeah this small flavor right here okay make it taste much better okay yeah we like flavors we are pro flavors okay so I'm going to add my stock about how much are you thinking not much a cup and a half okay yeah I'm going to let it come to a boil okay and then I had my stuffing all right well let it get to the boil okay come to a boil I'm going to turn it off okay all the way off all the way off okay and I'm going to I'm going to D um my stuffing I'm going to have this stuffing dad add them loose today you add them loose today you other one you that's enough liquid though for both of them let's see don't look like it what do you do in this case you add more liquid if I need it oh wow it's really really coming together for real look at me thinking speaking too soon mhm so now I'm going to add some seasoning to it okay and some garlic powder a teaspoon chicken seasoning some chicken seasoning the same teaspoon some black pepper we a seasoning salt just a little not too much just a little bit family mix it [Music] [Applause] [Music] around and now you're going to stuff your turkey ooh and now we're going to stuff the turkey turkey I can hold it okay we're going to stuff the turkey okay stuffing is going in wow all the way in right up oh so you kind of like push it in push it yes and if everything fits let me get the angle for you guys yes look at that oh look at that e has a huge cavity what does that mean mommy just big inside that is the most nurse term ever so what we're doing we're pucking it so then when it's done then this turkey stuffing should be really good because all the juices and everything is going to be in that so you should be able to eat it like it should be really tasty oh any every turkey that has ever been made in this house has been delicious so I believe that wholeheartedly wow amazing okay perfect so um I was saying earlier Mommy to Daddy that you think the juices that are around should be going in okay look at this my loved ones this all juice right there look what I'm going to do right in the hair M want should we put this here no just to block it oh that's smart just to block the um the entry the the or orifice the orifice area not MediCal this is liver we don't need a liver you need a liver so and then there's something that I always do with the wings I always bring it like that interesting and I always bring it back so it stay in place so it stays in place like that interesting can you show us one more time on the camera mommy one more time how you did that yeah I had idea okay so pull there so that's how it would normally be normally be so when it cook like this this Wing going to get stiff and going just stay out like that M so when you fold it fold it nice right in place yeah and it bakes you know Cooks nice in place we learn something today yeah yes learn so when cook for your husband you know how to do it oh my husband yes your husband look at me I think isn't there a piece of like a piece of meat on gizard or something the gizard somewhere you put it in it no I didn't lift it up oh there right yeah n you is looking for the the heart yeah who's eating the heart me oh my gosh what's wrong with what's wrong with it jic it's coming from the chicken from the turkey from the turkey turkey chicken anyone y wow so we're going to put this into a plastic bag yeah so mommy do you usually put it in into a i find I find it comes out really nicer because you know or else you're stuck there always always basing and basing and basing okay right so this kind of kind of help so this is an oven the oven bags that they sell it in the supermarket interesting okay and I bought the one that is the large one it comes with two in a pack okay okay and it comes with its own ties okay so you put it ties so what I'm going to be doing I'm going to be putting like a tablespoon of flour into the bag and just shake it around so that um so that the turkey won't stick to the bag interesting okay so I'm just going to shake it all around okay guys so now that my bag is totally floured I'm just going to get rid of the excess flour that's in there okay okay okay all right just get rid of that excess okay all right and then what we're going to be doing now we're going to be actually putting we're going to put in the pan over here all right and then Daddy's going to lift up that turkey and put it into this bag okay let's see what the muscles what kind of muscles you guys are getting at the gym oh okay okay okay okay ready yeah here we go again all right okay and then there's a tie over there you want some more juice to um no I think it's good okay so I can ties the tie I'll put the tie on it okay so it comes with those baggy ties all right and I'll just put it [Music] on and you just push it through here and just pull it tightly wow I had no idea okay tightly and then what happens now we're going to use the scissors and we're going to stit just maybe a couple little holes in in in in this okay so that at least it can breathe interesting right I'm actually so amazed by this just snip it okay I'll put one up on right up on the breast here that it has some ear I think that's good enough all right and now daddy is going to take it and he's going to put it into you can wash your hands off if you want and then it's going to go into the oven yes okay we're Bas in the pan with some oil mhm decided that you wanted to do that not 100% sure if it's necessary though yeah but just just to make sure that this plastic probably doesn't hook you know stick in the bottom even though it is oven proof yes okay okay and so now our oven we we have it on the convection oven and we're going to be putting in so we're thinking that um we're going to look at it maybe give it an hour look at it um this should take at least 2 hours two to 2 and 1/2 hours to cook okay okay all right all right I'm ready for that turkey are you yes we are yeah we can't wait can't wait okay I'm making some cranberry sauce from scratch from scratch oh my go fres crry look at that for our turkey yes so Mom p on life right now you guys yeah I have at least 3 tbsp of water in it okay you don't need no more than that okay and I'm going to add some a cup of brown sugar okay okay brown sugar added mix it up mix it in that is usually really good at these type of uh what are they called sauces and and um it's not called a reduction is it like a yeah he's going to reduce it yeah yes so and then I'm going to put some lemon zest okay see I think that this would make it tooo tarp more than it already is but Flor I guess the sugar will balance it all out okay would you say that's like a what a teaspoon or a half a teaspoon half a teaspoon okay about a half a teaspoon a Jamaican half a teaspoon a Jamaican half a teaspoon so we're going to let this cook down okay my D so what's the heat on on the stove right now it's high I'm going to put it low okay you you want it simmer low and low heat okay okay yeah until the sugar dissolves for about 10 minutes okay yeah so let it simmer simmer simmer and I think it's going to get a little bit thickened it's literally just going to be like sweet T sugar and water right at this point yeah you see M tastes good interesting yeah the lemon and the cranberry okay you didn't even cook yet so we're going to let this cook about 10 minutes about 10 to 15 minutes M and that's it'll and then we have some with left over we going to add to it so these ones over here going to cook out until they bur until they burst and then we had those so you're going to have un one they like little trunk the unburst one if that's a word the unburst one then okay so then we'll be back when this what is it going to boil up daddy yes okay so we'll be back when it starts boiling mhm all right we're taking a peek wow you guys look at it it really is coming along okay it hasn't been in there for an hour fully yet but come come come come come come okay so we go on with this uh okay this is done cranberry I'm going to had the rest of the cranberry I like yep that that's my hand Cameo I still feel like those ones need to burst a bit too because yeah and it's going to cook for another 10 minutes okay I'm going to add some black pepper and some salt okay so question for you what is the heat on now still still on low okay still on you're not going to turn it up no higher okay you're going to cook slowly because if it was on high what would happen they already burn oh it would have already burn up yeah because remember lot of sugar is in it okay so low heat you guys low heat low heat low heat little bit of salt little bit of salt using sea salt sea salt just a touch of it okay okay hold it down and then there we go some pepper my pepper not too much now okay wow who what have thought wow look at that you guys oh my God guys just think about the turkey that they just made think about when that turkey is done and adding this to let me taste it I don't want to burn because these things are no not the whole not the whole just the just the juice get this one careful one C here don't cry for [Music] me okay all Mery ain't no one trick pony here it's good guys I know it's chaotic here today but this is what it's like being in Daddy's Kitchen you're a part of the family you're learning with me okay so you added more lemon yeah what made you do that I'll give you another spoon more flavor man more flavor here you go new spoon and just make it simmer done so I'm going to make it simmer for 10 more minutes take it off and let it cool and what to heat what heat it's on it's still on low it's not touch okay so after you let it simmer a little longer Daddy yes you're going to make it cool let it cool down okay you don't serve it before it's cool no okay you got tear yeah man I got te busting huh mhm awesome I can't dancing okay all right looks like it's coming and we'll be back okay my cranberry sauce is ready hey I turn the fire off fire off ooh and look at that and it's chunky kind of too see I thought it was just going to be like this like you see the first batch that I do uhhuh come out mushing oh the first batch that you did really the second bsh is does to Oh you mean like the first the first set it was first okay you cook it out all the way down so they all burst yes that's what it you get and then I guess because you put in that second bowl that's what makes now to leave it chunky oh that's it brilliant come come take a look of that so I can get a nice look at that you guys look at that you can do this too yes I can't wait until I try it myself very easy okay well in that case it's time to move on to what now father I'm going to do some potato salad some potato salad but you guys aren't going to get the potato do you already have we have one on on the channel yes so you guys go watch you go guys go watch a potato salad but I do think that mommy has to do a new potato salad video she's a queen of the potato salad so another one will be coming I'm sure in time for the holidays okay so let's just uh put that aside our cranberry is officially ready homemade what you know about it let it cool down okay and then we're on to the next okay we're going to take out the turkey right now turkey turkey it's in here for 3 hours about 3 hours now yeah this have done oh my gosh you guys look at this oh my goodness the aroma that just came came out of that oven L someone get my piece right no wow this bag is so interesting to me yeah yeah so we we're just going to cut out the cut the open the bag okay and how do you know for well I guess you'll check the temperature to make sure I'm going to cut open the bag it's a careful cuz it could burn you cuz there's so much steam that's coming out of it you have to be very careful look at that that turkey neck isn't mine no sir that turkey neck couldn't be yours me trying to take off my skin you got it we did put the put the um the flour but seems to still stick a bit maybe we didn't put enough flour I don't know I'd be surprised if they would make a bag that even sticks to the skin I would feel like they should make it so my aim is that I want to take this bag out so that we can actually oops it's coming okay it's coming it's coming oh Teamwork Makes a Dream Work care care okay so we have a thermometer okay there's a thermometer okay so what I'm going to be doing I'm going to put it into the thickest part of the breast and it should be at least 165 if this thermometer is working we've had it for a long time you better start work right not work it's moving oh I move it's moving kind of slow it's okay slow and steady wins the race you have to make sure so the temperature is right done man no he's moving he's moving you see him crawling up it's crawling he has to make sure you know first he has to get hot before him can tell you say I'm hot going have look you would look see moved up move up again chat the man some man oh man not going way oh daddy that was a very Jamaican thing to do by knocking it every time oh gone up it gone up we gone up we gone up we gone up okay so I think this turkey is cooked but for me but you guys hold on hold on hold on try the next side yeah but then it it would be still up there oh yeah it wouldn't start over again interesting okay so even though you guys gave it a tap tap M you think that that is the this is done well yeah I mean I trust you guys because I know what I want to do yeah everything falling off the bone right yeah oh what I want to do is just base it a little bit with this juices oh my gosh look at the M yeah just base it nicely and you know remember the stuffing that we put in it we should give that a taste oh my God that's supposed to be for me okay so even though the bag took away a little piece of my skin here I don't even care because the smell where's the heart and the aroma St searching for the heart it's inside it's inside here it's here on the LI look it's there you don't need to eat no turkey heart oh no no we so all that so all that um grave that well not really gravy but all of that juices that came off it's really good to use to put into your gravy okay yeah you get a really nice flavor yeah this is what I'm going to use to make my gravy some of this is yeah why are you holding the the the the the the the I don't even want to call [Music] it I'm sure it's delicious but this is the liver it's a liver okay all right well M so you base it over with this the gravy that it makes and then you're going to put it back in the oven well well I was thinking that it's already cooked maybe if I could just um broil it for a little bit just to get the other parts or we should just leave it I don't know cuz it's already for for like a more it's already cooked yeah more color yeah even though the color is gorgeous mhm okay me wash the F okay okay I want to taste this the stuffing exactly what I'm going for here sorry [Music] oh Lord have mercy people I've never tasted a stuff in this good jeez ready for din ready for for no real feot thanks for oh wow come here people we have something for tell oh my gosh it is so good D look season up season up that you did yeah man makes a big difference yeah if you're going to do the stove top you can't just put it in someon you have to season It Up season it up nice Oh Daddy I really think that the uh chicken broth that you used instead of the water up a notch really brought out the flavor yes yeah I can and and and uh uh we're hoping that as we we injected the the turkeys the breast should be really the you know overall it should be really tasty and tender yes okay well we going to put it in just for no can you do you want to pour out some of that or or no into your gravy so that you can continue all right we going to take some of this out for gravy purposes and then we're going to put it in the oven what for like another five you can do it like that another 5 10 minutes scoop it yeah another yeah in another 5 10 minutes yeah all right guys they forget that they're in the kitchen sometimes filming and this is the wonderful thing about Daddy's Kitchen okay y all right okay I'm going to make my turkey sauce turkey gravy you mean take gravy whatever it taste mhm so I have some of this seasoning from the turkey before it cook mhm all that juices and I have some of the juice from the cooked turkey okay so I had it here so now I turn my fire on so it's a little bit of the raw like the raw what was left over when you first put the turkey in yeah and then it's also the cooked that just came out of yeah the so I had to it so I'm going to make this cook wild M then I had some turkey Demi to it Glen free okay okay cool and this going to thicken it up okay and our turkey and our cramberry and our stuffing is going to look better than that okay perfect so sorry what was the heat on P this is high high heat high heat it's on a small mhm it's high heat small burner high heat yeah okay I'm finishing off my gravy with the package thingy M jger yes I'm going to put some water in this okay how much water you just just fill it out yeah about 6 tbsp water think that's more than six t six it's I'm going to have it and stir as you go right stir as it go oo it's going to thicken up right before our eyes I bet you yeah start and you see that oh I can see that one thing about you father you make a good gravy yeah mhm you make many things good but you make a good gravy so take notes y'all that's all I have to do so I'm going to taste this and see if I need anything taste it and see what go on yeah see that mhm okay it's coming [Music] okay sure you don't need any salt it's already salty enough yeah so what what now let it cook I'm going to let it cook okay give it some more star some more [Music] star and then it cooked okay and it's on high right now or medium okay it's on medium right now yes so it come to the thickness I want yeah I can see it getting thicker yeah so if you get too thick what I do I finin it out with a little water okay okay and then you taste again and if you need anything you just put a little more seasoning in it okay and you're done and you're done so approximately how much longer do you think it needs on the stove couple minutes just a couple minutes couple minutes couple like two or couple like five no what say few like five two to four minutes okay couple like four yeah double it up double it up couple like two couples mathematician okay it's time to check our turkey make sure it has the right color that we're looking for your new mittens are too new yep okay all right I'm going to use this pull it out careful mother you guys I tasted a little piece of this turkey oh my go look at that Glory Glory Glory Hallelujah wow it tastes okay you know what I'm not even gonna ruin it let's take it let's take it out of the father thank you for being a gentleman just going to take it out of the oven oh look at that stuffing man sure my oh my my my my Hallelujah can't wait to have one of those wings [Music] Glory Glory Glory you guys I don't even think you understand how good this is look at that look at
