How To Make Prettier Characters In Baldur's Gate 3

and today I wanted to dive into a sort of Micro Niche of RPGs that I absolutely adore and that's going to be the fashion side of it and making very very cool characters I got a lot of comments on one of my previous videos of the meeting carlak before mating will video that my character looked really cool so I'm going to recreate her here for you and then after that we're going to go in I'm going to make a completely random character and just sort of see what I can come up with so hopefully you can follow along and pick up some rather interesting strategies to make cooler characters for yourself and I may do this in other RPGs as well depending on how this video goes because I always like making cool characters and MMOs or Skyrim or Fallout and that sort of stuff so if you guys do want to see that let me know so I will be using a controller here you can use mouse and keyboard if you want to it doesn't really make a big difference but of course we're going to pick the custom character so then we're gonna go obviously female net tab over and I did go for a high elf for my character originally so we'll be sticking with that and then we'll go over to appearance so first up we're going to want to set the voice to four I believe that's the one I'm using and then I believe I was on phase three as well skin color we're going to want to knock that down to either cool tone or one of the neutral ones I believe it was something along these lines something like that I think and then we're going to go down we're going to enable heterochromia and then we're going to want to think about what we can do with that we're going to turn on all eye colors now I made my druid in a very specific way I made a druid that absolutely despises nature one side of her is completely corrupted with a demonic eye I believe it was the flame red eye and the other side has access to her druidic powers and Drew inside so I had elf green as that eye so let's remove the eye color options and we'll go for good old-fashioned there was elf Green in here somewhere elf green we'll just leave it on one there we go tattoo style if you press your interact button on these by the way you don't have to scroll through all of these so in my case just press a on controller you can see everything in a pop-up window now for my character I opted for this one because that was the underneath area and then scarring I can link this works very uh accidentally but the scar links into the tattoo just perfectly so that it makes that really cool combination effect then we come into hairstyle we go down to the dreadlocks option I went for this one because I thought it was particularly cool and you can go to hair color and make sure is it hair color or Highlights Highlights so make sure you max out highlight intensity and then you want to set your highlights to Red if I remember correctly it has been a little bit since I've made the character obviously I have been playing it and the highlights will give you the intermingling in your character's hair this was the coolest thing I discovered it has taken me a couple of attempts to really figure out uh how to make good characters in this I think we want to flip this around actually we want red here instead um but I have gone through and made a couple of decent ones since I've been making a few other characters for um video showcase and whatnot oh no maybe not let's go for I believe it was red here ah here we go that looks a little better and then you can all throw the black there I think in my case I might have just left it red I'll be honest with you and yeah piercings I believe it was that one and that's the stock to our character you can of course choose to go darker on the hair color if you want I would probably opt for do [Music] a bit darker in the highlights and there we go that's a relatively quick Recreation of it obviously not exactly Perfect Since I can't just import the highlights over and over right or import a preset like I can in Skyrim to just give it to you guys but that is sort of a quick summary of the character of course you can mess around with colors and whatnot so now we're going to pick something completely new and I'm going to make something relatively cool for you fellas so let's go for I do always like T flings but I've never customized I've customized a drow before so let's pick a basic idea here let's say I my next character I want to make is a monk so we'll make a relatively all right to monk let's see what we can work with I draw a monk I don't know if that's a race I'm gonna pick but nonetheless so body types you can go through and choose like bigger and thicker but I don't really care in that regard personally same voice probably now let's see the face we want to go for a rounded kind of face not to that's like Karen he no that's not too bad that I can work with because it has a little bit of extra eye shadow I think might go with four that one looks a bit too [ __ ] that is a no I'm good okay let's go for four let's work with that so obviously with the drown you're gonna end up with white skin tones I'll probably go closer to pale just because I don't really like going for Ultra dark characters that look like they got you know the textures didn't load so I'll opt for that uh heterochromia and just adds more to it if you want to add extra layers to your characters lore over top like for example I played a barbarian tiefling with um all of its rage and everything and so I made one eye link up with the other uh tattoo so let's see what options we got um doesn't really make a difference the hair is covering it so I can actually play off of that if I wanted to but first of all let's go for eye colors um let's mess around with some of the demonic stuff for the deeper colors blue we are looking at like a a blue black sort of color palette with brows well I can probably make that work yeah let's go for like a blue black mixture let's try that shall we so let's do one eye blue one eye completely black hey okay okay now it's gonna look cool I have an idea I might actually use that same tattoo uh I mean like that one's kind of cool you can do like a spider web themed slow character or something a druid along those lines that's pretty cool as well keep in mind I do have my game on Ultra as well so it's gonna lend extra to me in that regard there we go that's starting to look nice and evil now I'm just I've gotten a lot better at making evil characters and we've got that on black as well you could do that blue to mix it with the hair color maybe I wonder if I can get a hairstyle that like Blends into that possibly although the eye the eyebrows being white is kind of annoying so let's see if I can fix that I changed the tint you can change the lip tint the hell I don't think it shows up though unfortunately I don't know scarring let's see what we got to work with here oh that'd be the wrong eye oh that links in decently oh never mind that's just the tattoo itself that adds a little extra looks like she's gone 12 rounds no I'm getting that regret we're playing a barbarian maybe I suppose um yeah let's let's go for that I think it adds a little bit of extra evil to it bardic inspiration you're optimistic let's shop around with hairstyles see what we have to work with here no definitely not I mean there's definitely like a shield Maiden Vibe you could go for like a sword shield kind of lag as a fighter you could do something along those lines there I could see that or like a medium armor fighter type thing that actually looks cool even a monk I would almost play exactly that to be honest with you maybe add in a few other things to it you know what [ __ ] it we're gonna we're gonna stick with it send it uh so we wanted to do blue black right we were thinking let's try black oh okay okay okay okay okay now we're working now we're working highlights highlight intensity uh oh okay that might be a little too Littleton uh cancel culture for me I'm sorry oh okay that kind of works that's cool if I tone it in a little bit cyan I could maybe intermingle that you gotta think about dye colors on the armor too let's rain this in a little hmm I might want to flip it around oh that could work I want to kind of like link it up to the eye I want to flip this around though hang on let's see what we can do here oh yeah okay with this hair color or this hairstyle definitely not definitely don't want to do that let's go maybe I can do like white blue though um yeah I kind of need black there to make the eyebrow work okay um I mean it's kind of working for me slowly but surely we're getting there hmm okay let's switch let's let's switch hairstyles I feel like this is going to be limiting to me I have an idea for a hairstyle that I would was thinking about using I believe it was this one there we go no actually not this is why this works really well I've kind of indirectly made the same character again but we're not gonna talk about it that's not too bad okay okay okay you know that's not terrible if you could split it down the middle you could get full on like Psychopathic white girl oh okay okay yeah I can work with that I can work with that that's not bad actually okay that's a little bit we've gone from good to Karen that's one of the ones I really like I could in theory have this I mean it kind of works though I was gonna say flip it around but it kind of already Works where the tattoo goes into the black hair and then you've got the accompanying highlights I don't mind that it's a little too blue for my liking though I think although personally I think I would settle for this one I feel like that fits a little better it's kind of got um what's her name Clary from Shadowhunters Vibe going on there you change that to red hair you're kind of in business if you know what I mean there and yeah let's switch to the piercings I think I already know the piercing I'm gonna give her will opt for the toxic of toxic there we go honestly I'd play that character I might switch the highlights up a little bit to be a little darker let's have to highlight intensity back to 100 and we'll rain the color scheme in a little bit I make it match with the skin color a little we can kind of Look Backwards as well yeah that's a little it works with the eye I'll be honest I could work that a little too blue a little too a little too purple yeah I don't mind that to be honest yeah it's not the greatest and far away I think it was actually better with lower highlights yeah I think so that was good and there you go there is a relatively decent character and Under 12 minutes feel free to do the exact same customization to your guardian or whatever you sit there and go through and create a relatively cool one it's not that difficult you just kind of want to treat it like actual fashion what pairs with what what works with what or can I pick up something and kind of play with it to make it more functional and more stand out-ish you know split the character in the two sides if I could do a hairstyle split where I can put the left side as blue and the right side is entirely black there might be a hairstyle in there that gives you the option to do that and get the full-on psychopathic white girl going on then you've got options you can work with generally I normally pick around like a tattoo or a piece of armor or something but now you just take this character you give her Shadow Hearts clothes for example and you are in business and from there you just toggle your over close and run around like that for the rest of the game so yeah let me know if you guys did enjoy this if you took anything away from this I don't
