do you have an ant problem do you have ants crawling up your walls crawling all over your plants and building a nest in them are they living inside your barbecue are they finding cracks and holes in your walls and then making your house theirs have you called the exterminator and they said it's going to cost you a fortune well don't waste your money all you have to do is go and spend about five dollars on some borax now you should be able to find borax quite easily in the laundry section of your local supermarket so for starters let's boil some water so to make this homemade ant killer grab your borax in a cup we'll open the borax and we'll add a couple of spoons in of that next we'll add the boiled water the best thing about this borax is that it dissolves completely in boiling hot water have a look at that can't even see it now to attract the ants we need some honey the ants cannot resist some honey so we'll put a bit of that in a good squirt and then give that a mix now you will need to give this some time to cool down before you start handling it so just let it rest for a few minutes let that heat evaporate out and there it is that's how simple it is to make your own ant killer at home now once you've made the solution you're going to have to put it somewhere so the ants can get to it so you can either spray it on the walls drip it down them you can use bottle caps you can use beer caps you can even use shells like this which is what i'm going to use to put some around the garden so i just grab my shell with the borax mix i'll just fill that up and then i'll stick it in places where the ants are gathering put another one down here don't worry they'll find it you can even pour it on leaves on your plants and you can just pour it down the wall as well they'll love it now give it a few minutes and the ants will be all over it now borax has a low toxicity for people and animals but ants well that's another story when ants consume the borax it interferes with their digestive system and gradually kills them this slow kill allows time for the worker ants to consume the bait head back to the nest and share it with the rest of the colony and queen killing the ants and killing the queen hence no more ants now it isn't toxic to humans and animals but just to be on the safe side make sure you keep it away from where dogs and cats and butterflies and lizards and everything can come and get at it because it might make them sick just to be on the safe side well it's a week later and just look at the ant situation now the walls are much clearer there's hardly any ants around there's still a few stragglers wandering around but it will take a few applications to completely get rid of them all anyway there you go a really quick simple easy and cheap solution to get rid of answer and your house hope it works for you and you can save a few dollars thanks for watching and we'll see you next time bye
