[Music] thank you hey everyone it's Kayla welcome back to my channel in today's video I'll show you how I made these super cute holographic stickers with my Cricut Machine I'll show how to make these with the kiss cut where it peels right off the backing and how to cut it all the way through these maker stickers look extra fun I think they are just so pretty if you're new to my channel I would love it if you subscribed and let's get into the video the sticker paper I'm using is needle labels they are my go-to I use them every time I make stickers with my Cricut I'll be printing on my stickers as usual on this sheet of paper then I'll add the laminate on top to give it that holographic look I'm using style Tech laminate sheets this one is called mist and this other one is called confetti I found this really cute SVG bundle from creative Fabrica that I am going to be using for my stickers if you've watched my channel lately I really love Creative fabrica's website I use so many of their images and fonts I subscribe to their membership I logged out so you can see it easier here but you can sign up for their free trial for their membership to kind of see what it's like and if you like this image you can sign up for free and download it for free you get up to 10 downloads so if you want to do that you can sign up and then you can always cancel it I'm in qriket design space now and I am going to upload those images with this bundle each image will get a PNG and an SVG with print then cut all you will need is a PNG if you are wanting to cut this out and use like vinyl or something like that then you would want to use SVG because that comes with all the different layers I'm just going to double click to bring this into Cricut I'll hit complex then I'll hit apply and continue and I will save it as a print then cut image now I will go through and select the others the exact same way okay I have the images that I want for my stickers uploaded but there's two more that I want that I want to take out pieces of it so I'm actually going to upload those as svgs with this rainbow it's really hard to see but I want to change part of it so you can see I'm just selecting the SVG here's the two that I uploaded as svgs because I want to get rid of the squares on the bottom now I'm going to select all of these and bring them into Cricut design space it pulls all of it in really big so I am just going to select this since they are all grouped right now and make it smaller first I'm going to get rid of these squares so I selected on my image and as you can see since it is an SVG it has all of these layers it is a ton of them if I click on one of the other ones you can see it is just one layer and it's set to print and cut I'm going to come back to this one you can see that it has all these little brown boxes grouped together in one layer which actually makes it really easy because all I have to do is hit the delete button and it gets rid of all of it this still has all these different layers so I do want to flatten it but I'm going to be adding an offset behind it so I am going to wait and just do it all at the same time I'm going to come down to this one this one's the same thing how it's all grouped together so I will just delete that now I'm going to go in and add an offset behind all of these with stickers you really want a background behind it if you don't it's going to cut around all of these little pieces so you don't want it to do that I'm going to come up here select offset now you can choose the size of your offset I think I'm going to make this just a little bit smaller I'll hit apply and look how cute that looks I really like what the black looks like behind it it really makes it pop but I am going to make it white so I'll come up here and switch it to White I'm also going to come down here and change my canvas to a different color because it's really hard to see that white offset I'm going to come up and select offset again I'll hit apply and sometimes this will happen where it has holes in the offset what you can do is click on offset then for some reason the Contour button is not showing up I don't think I've ever had this happen where the Contour button isn't showing up I have recently discovered a hack for this but this is the first time the Contour button hasn't shown up for me when I try to contour and offset but I'll show you the hack if you grab a shape then you'll just make the shape bigger than the image and if you highlight over both of these you can see in the layers panel that they're both selected then you'll come down and select slice foreign take that out of there I'm just going to delete it I'm going to take my piece and now you can see that the Contour button is showing up it's crazy how that works so now I can hit contour and I will select hide all Contours it'll automatically keep the first piece which is what we want and I can delete this one I'm going to change this to White I'll bring it back over here I need to send it to the back then what I'm going to do is just highlight over both of these I'll come up to align and hit Center let me try this one and see what happens I'll come up to offset I'll hit apply this one is letting me Contour that is so strange I don't know why the other one didn't work but there's just a couple of tiny pieces that I want to hit hide all Contours then I'll go in and change this to White I'm going to go through the rest of these and add the offset the exact same way I have all of my offsets behind my images now for some reason this one down here the Contour button didn't show up for the offset either but at least there is that hack to fix it have any of you guys come across that with the Contour button not showing up now what I'm going to do is flatten everything I am going to highlight over my offset layer and my image and as you can see these two layers are selected then I'll come down here and select flatten now this one has a ton of layers but I kept it grouped together which makes it really easy so what I'm going to do is once again just highlight over the offset and the image it'll automatically select all the layers then I'll come down here and select flatten as you can see it just made it into one layer I will do that for the rest of the images as well I always like to double check in the layers panel to make sure that I didn't miss anything and it looks like everything is flattened I'm going to figure out my sizing now I want to make the images about two inches for the width right now it's around 3 3.5 what I'm going to do is actually just highlight over everything then I am going to just make it a little bit smaller I think that looks pretty good now I'm just going to move these a little bit closer together I don't like to put it too close because I do like to keep the bleed on and it gives it a fuzzy border so I don't want that fuzzy border overlapping but I do want to bring it somewhat close so I can save on some paper one thing you can do let's say you want to sell the sticker sheet or something like that you can align these so they look a little bit nicer what I'm going to do is highlight over the bottom three then I will do distribute horizontally and distribute vertically then it'll just kind of line it up and I'll do the same for the other rows if you want to line up each layer you'll have to group it together I'll show you actually for an example if I were to highlight everything and go to a line and select distribute horizontally you can see it messes it up so I'll hit undo and what you can do is just group each row together then you can go in and highlight the entire thing and select distribute horizontally then you can go to distribute vertically this one obviously it's not along the edge but that's because this image is a little bit bigger than some of the other ones but that's okay and honestly I think I want to make it a little bit smaller I'm going to ungroup this and then I am just going to make this a little bit smaller okay here's my stickers I made this one a little bit smaller too and then just align them all together and I think it looks really nice the stickers are so cute the last thing I need to do in here is Select over everything and I am going to attach it now you can see that we have the little exclamation mark Cricut has increased its print thin cut size so let's see what this says it says the image is too large still so I am going to come down and hit Auto resize and it'll just make it the biggest size it can be to fit on my eight and a half by 11 sheet the largest Cricut used to be able to print then cut was 6.75 by 9.25 so as you can see it is bigger than the 6.75 the reason why it's not up to the 9.75 is just because this image is wider instead of longer hopefully that makes sense if you have any questions with the new print and cut sizing definitely let me know in the comments now that I have that attached I'll click on make it here's what it looks like obviously there's a little space on the top and bottom that's just because of the way that I set up my stickers I think there's a way if you made it closer together and maybe added some images at the top that you could fill out this paper a little bit more I'll come down here and hit continue then I'll select send a printer I am going to keep my bleed on like I said because it does help to get more accurate Cuts I will also select use system dialog and hit print I saw that my preview screen looked really funky so I just put a regular piece of printer paper in my printer and tested it out and it came out looking exactly like that I'll show a video on the screen so you can see it a little bit better but this happened to me before and I couldn't remember why but the reason why was because of my bleed which I always like to leave the bleed button turned on I'm not sure why it's not working if anybody's had this happen let me know but I think I'm going to have to reach out to Cricket's Tech team which is never my favorite thing to do but to solve that issue for now I'm just going to turn off my bleed and then I'll turn my use system dialog back on then select print I am going to select high quality plain paper and best you'll want to know which way your printer prints because you want to print this on the correct side with the Neato labels the matte finish still has a little bit smoother side and the back part is rougher so that's kind of how you can tell which one is the front this is what it looks like after it's printed then I take my measuring tape to measure how much I need to cut for my laminate for my height I measured about eight and a half inches for my width it was a little tricky because I like to measure inside of the registration lines because sometimes the Cricut can't register it if anything's over those lines but it was kind of right on the edge of the images so I decided to do 7.25 inches I grabbed my paper cutter for this and what's cool is you can pull out that measuring stick thing and you can see here I'm placing it right up against 8.5 inches and then when I cut it it'll be exactly that height then I turn my paper around and I do 7.25 inches foreign to add my holographic sheet over the stickers what I like to do is just peel away just a part of the backing then I fold it over so this way I'm not placing the whole sticky thing down right away it makes it easy to line it up here I'm just lining it up where I want it I'm trying to place it right inside those registration lines and trying to make sure I cover both of the sides of the image once I do that I just place it down then I start removing the backing and just slowly placing down that clear laminate sheet I started using my scraper tool to burnish this down and as you can see especially here it completely bent it and I don't know there was bubbles in it but it totally ruined it so here I've completely printed out a new sheet and put a new laminate over it and I just used my finger in the back of my fingernail to get those bubbles out and that worked so much better for this first one I wanted to have that kiss cut where I can remove the sticker off the sheet but keep the backing for that I am going to choose light card stock I add my sheet to the top left corner of the mat then use my brayer tool to make sure that it's placed down really well my Cricut will read the registration lines and then it'll start cutting it out because this has the holographic sheet over it the typical Cricut settings for sticker paper just doesn't work for it but the light card stock works perfect I just did all the test cuts and that was the best one for the kiss cut it might be hard to see it but the Cricut cut past the glitter laminate that I placed on top on both sides so I did mess that up but the problem is if I want the glitter laminate over it I will have to go past those registration lines as you can see it's all the way up against the registration line Cricut just updated their print and cut and I'm not sure if the registration lines are just not as far away from the images as they used to let me know what you guys have found the light card stock worked so perfectly for This Kiss cut as you can see it peeled right off and look how pretty this is the little Sparkle glitter on top is so pretty it gives something extra fun for these stickers I really love it I just go in and cut off those black registration lines to make it into just one sticker sheet I went back and printed off one more sticker sheet and I added the confetti laminate over it so I can give an example with this as you can see I placed it directly over the top half of the registration lines because I wanted to make sure it covered the entire image here it's reading the registration lines I was so worried it wasn't going to work but it was able to read it and cut out the stickers if you have an explore Air 2 I'm not sure if it would work or not I know that's the machine that usually struggles with it to get the Cricut to cut all the way through I use the heavy cardstock setting and it worked so well here's what this sticker looks like with the confetti laminate it looks so pretty I just love this I feel like I won't be able to make stickers without these anymore and to remove the backing for this you would just take a piece of the edge and peel it away here's a close-up of some of the other stickers they just look so so cute I love them so much it's up to you kind of your preference if you want the stickers to have that kiss cut or if you want them to cut it all the way through like this I've been wanting to brighten up my Cricut Machine I wouldn't choose this light color blue if I had a choice but it's all they have for the maker 3 but I added one of the stickers to it and I just love how it looks I hope you enjoyed this video once again I would love it if you subscribed if you are
