hey guys today I'm gonna show to you how to make crispy fried chicken in the airfryer this is gonna be my take to the classic southern style fried chicken is gonna be juicy it's gonna be crispy it's gonna be delicious all right guys super excited today for this a fried fried chicken southern style we start with beautiful chicken legs but it dry we want very very dry skin because we want a very crunchy a fried chicken so this is about two pounds now let's go to the lab I have two teaspoon of sea salt 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper one teaspoon of garlic powder I have one teaspoon of smoked paprika and then I have a little bit of onion powder about this point one teaspoon just mix it up get one tablespoon of this rub I wrap it up the chicken leg very well now we want to season the chicken a lot usually southern style chicken is on the salty side and this is a recipe that will have a very salty taste so if you don't like to have too much salt just bake it up a little bit on the on the salt because we are gonna use also self-rising flour we're gonna use sauce they will increase the saltiness of the overall recipes so I just told you and anyway if you want to check it out the full ingredients and directions please check down below that I will drop for you everything that you need now with the rest of rub we are gonna put into the self-rising flour if you notice the first flour is really easy to make just get your flour add a little bit of salt talking powder and let's say you get your self rising flour give it a shake so you want all the ingredients well incorporated this flower is really tasty it tastes very salty because again that's what we want we want the chicken is like four now we're gonna also prepare an egg wash gonna add a couple of eggs and one of my favorite of all time sauce which is Frank's results you can find the Frank results very easily everywhere in the supermarkets and I'm gonna get to 2 to 2 eggs 1 tablespoon of this amazing hot sauce I love it and after that I have my milk over there as you can see I'm gonna add a couple of tablespoons of milk eventually if you want you cannot also buttermilk I didn't feel any big difference between milk and buttermilk them today but you know if your purest you want to spider me let's go I'm gonna add a little bit of water about 1/4 of a cup and again mix it very well it is a two-step process not nothing complex we want to make sure that we don't dip too much the chicken into the egg wash and we shake the excess of egg wash and the flour very well that's will translating a better results so I they're perfect for five to six legs so as you can see I just work it out and then now I have my flour legs what I do I put in the egg wash and gay take your time and then shake the excess of us otherwise there will be a motion results at the end in the airfryer then again I put it back to into the flour for the final step and the final coating so the self-rising flour will lap with the crunchiness with the puffiness OD of the exterior of the legs and this coding is full of flavor again it's a little bit salty so back it up in the salt if you don't want to ended up with if you don't like too much salt now another step is really important as you are finishing these place your legs in a tray and on top of the grate or something that will appeal to the don't have any contact between the basket so I started to think about I can put four but then I ended up to put only three legs in the 5.8 color eco Soria fryer this is the large one I think again this is the best that we can get because we need to allow the airflow to pass through the legs and to have that kind of fried feeling that we want so if we put it too much food and we over crowd what it means the steam of the food will ended up getting like the instead of crunchiness and motion as that we don't want now this is another step I had a cup of tablespoon of extra-virgin olive oil I'm using a brush I'm gonna brush on top all the legs again take your time to avoid any spot of flour this will help you to get an overall look and also feeling that is like a real fried chicken and not done with the airfryer so again as you can see I'm gonna apply a fairly good coat of oil nothing a major put it back I'm gonna cook for about 15 minutes total 380 degrees this is the peak halfway through halfway through what you want to see what you want to do is like take your tongue and flip it over again because you want to avoid that motion bottom that a lot of people say that when they do in the airfryer happens so these are like a few suggestions for you so don't overcrowd a basket use oil and turning the legs as you can see here what I'm doing again I'm using again my extra virgin olive oil to pull a little bit to brush a little bit my legs and obtain that super crunchy exterior that we love in the in the fryer in the fried chicken now it's piping hot as you can see and these are the first three legs let me show to you also in a while a peak for the other three legs this fried chicken is amazing the legs test juicy crunchy outsides a little bit spicy so as you just saw this is a fantastic crispy and fried chicken it's really similar to a fried chicken it's really hard to distinguish from deer fried chicken in the deep fryer and in the airfryer I really recommend you to make it and if you like this
