- How to make a lyric video. If you're looking to create
engaging music videos but you don't have the
budget for an MGM production, then lyric videos are your best bet. So in this video, I'm gonna
show you a free and easy way to make a lyric video
using the lyric generator, built-in stock footage
and animated titles. By the end of this tutorial, you'll have created a lyric
video that looks like this. ♪ Can't nobody take my crown ♪ ♪ My mic, my light, my sound ♪ ♪ What you talking
about? I run this town ♪ - For this, we'll be using VEED, there is no need to download any software, all you need is your audio file. So let's get started. Now we're in VEED, click Upload a File, select your music track and
give it a moment here to load. Next, in the left-hand
toolbar, you'll see Subtitles. Click that, click Auto Subtitle, select your language and
click Create Subtitles. VEED's lyric generator
is now gonna transcribe all that audio into lyrics on screen. And I know SHADE Premiere Pro, but if you've ever tried to
use it to make a lyric video, then your timeline probably
looks something like this. However, using VEED, in less
than one minute it's finished and our timeline looks clean and we've just saved ourselves hours of manually typing out lyrics. So you'll see here that
VEED highlights words of low confidence. This is another time-saving trick to help us proofread our lyrics quicker. If your words are correct,
you can mark them as such, but if any words are wrong, just delete it and type
out the correct word. Once that's done, we can
style and animate our lyrics. Click the Styles tab, and in
here we can change the font, the text size, the text color, click Effects, choose your favorite, then go back and select Animation. And in here we have 10 different
animations to choose from. Hover your mouse over each
one to see how it works and, again, select your favorite. Each one will automatically
sync in time with the lyrics. You can also move your subtitles on screen and make them bigger by pulling on the corner and side toggles. Now we have our lyrics on screen, let's add an opening title to the video. Put your play ahead at the
very beginning of the timeline and select Text in the toolbar. Now you'll notice that some
of the pre-made templates here have three circles underneath them. That means that they have a
built-in animation effect. I'm gonna select one of those. I'm gonna play it quickly
so you can see how it looks. Looks cool, but we do need
to change what it says and we also wanna change
the duration of it. Firstly, let's change the text. Click on the first text layer
to open up the text panel. We can delete what's in there
and type in the song name. If we wanted, we could
also change the font, the size, and the color. And now just repeat this for
the remaining text layers. You're gonna click on the next
text layer in the timeline, delete the current text
and type out the song name. And then just keep repeating that until all the layers have been changed. Now we need to shorten the duration of time that it stays on screen. So to do this, we're gonna
highlight all the layers and then push them over to the left. Perfect, so we have our
title and our lyrics and here's where we
can get really creative with stock footage. So I personally think it looks really cool to have some parts of the lyrics on screen just by themselves, and then other parts where
we use stock footage. Now I'm gonna put my play ahead
to the point in the timeline that I want my stock
footage to show on screen. Then click Add Media above the timeline. And if you do have your own
footage that you wanna use, click Upload a File and select it. But VEED has an entire library
of built-in stock footage and some of it's free to use,
so that's what I'm gonna do. Click Search beside stock videos and type out whatever it
is you're looking for. Choose your best option and
give it a second to load. Now, just like with the text,
we can shorten the duration that the clip stays on screen by pushing it over to
the left in the timeline. Also, just to give you two tips when you're adding stock footage, listen to the track and
select suitable clips that's gonna make sense for your video. If it's an intense drum and bass song, please don't choose a ballerina dancing and vice versa if it's a classical piece, you're not gonna choose a clip
of a high-speed car chase. The other tip to make a
high impact lyric video is to cut your footage to the beat. So you can continue yourself
here, adding stock footage throughout your lyric video,
and then we can download it. Click Done in the top right-hand corner, click on Quality and change
your render settings. I'm gonna select HD, click
back and select Export Video. And that's just gonna take
a moment here to load. And then once it's done,
we can watch it back, just to make sure we're happy with it. ♪ Can't hold us down ♪ ♪ Can't nobody take my crown ♪ ♪ My mic, my light, my sound ♪ ♪ What you talking
about? I run this town ♪ - And lastly, click
Download and download MP4. And that's it. That's how easy it is
to make a lyric video. I really hope you found
this video helpful, guys, and I will see you in the next one, bye.
