hey today I'm going to teach you how to make a locally weapons for your game let's go put me over and blender all we need to do is just quickly impose our reference image so to do that just delete everything and go shift a image reference and go finder in your desktop cool once it's in your scene you can change the opacity in the right side to make it 0.4 and then depending on which way you want to face you can flip it because Ctrl M cool and I'm also going to drag it off to the side just so it's not in the middle all right so first thing that we're going to do is just go and add in a cube very simple just Cube then I'm going to go to edit mode of tab and then touch this in half and go Ctrl R add an edge Loop like this all right then I'm going to go Z and wireframe select this side so I can delete it and then when we go and add a mirror modifier modifies and modifier mirror you can see it mirrors along the middle because we added that edge Loop and then that depth side is not there anymore but it is mirrored across cap now turn on clipping so that the middle doesn't pull away from each other and now we're set up to make this gun cool let's start off with the handle so I'm just going into edit mode and then I'm just drive selecting these little edges and then just placing them in the kind of shape of the handle the handle doesn't have to be very hard res I'll usually add maybe one maybe two edges if you want just to kind of get the shape um because there's not much points in adding like all of these bumps for the fingers and stuff like that um so there and then to select this edge up here easily or face you're just going to go face select mode and then if you can wireframe you can just like click up here and you can selects this top face so that's three at the subject keyboard or at the top your your blender view cool and then we're going to extrude this up until it reaches the Top If I make it completely flat then I'm going to go s z also s z and zero and that'll make it like completely flat on the z-axis all right and again I'm just going to go to G white drag that back and then I'm going to leave this kind of like Straight Like That cool then I'm going to go Ctrl R and add an edge Loop drag that in drag this up so it kind of lines up with this bottom line and then I can go to face select mode again which is three on my keyboard and then select this face and then just extrude it on along the wire axis so just e and then press y and drag this up this front vert C okay we've got a decent base for the bottom so now I'm just going to go g select everything with a and then g x and drag it in okay maybe that looks kind of large um I'm also going to you can shape your handle because sometimes they're like shaped a bit so you could like drag these in or something uh grab some references from different different angles if you want to see what I actually like happens with the handle so I think we could just grab the space and thicken that slightly just have a last curve to it [Music] um then we can select this top face over here and go shift and D to duplicate and then you just press escape to leave it in the center and then just p and bar selection that will make it its own object so now we can edit this individually so press tab let's go back to object mode select the top piece and drag it up so just e and then Z to make it up or just leave the defaulting all right so now we actually have a pretty decent base then we can just start adding in some nice little details to it so I like to just Barefoot the edges like you see on the reference so just select these two edges Ctrl and B to Bevel hold shift so it doesn't move super fast like this um just bevel it slightly there we go um I think you may also want to Bevel this bottom Edge just to get some slight separation between the top and bottom pieces so just Ctrl and B like that okay and then what we're going to do is when you like pull the gun back you'll have a the circle Barrel in here okay and then to help me out I've just also added in another reference at the back so looking at it now you can see that this is way too thick so let me grab these and then just drag it in so it lines up and then assembly over here you can see this is actually it's completely flat so then s and x and press zero that completely flattens it on the x-axis and then just drag the same you might also just want to line it up with that Outer Edge just or stylistic purposes um okay and then we need to add in the barrel so let's go shift a circle add a circle which of the mesh Circle um and you can see this is quite high res so in the bottom left you're going to open this menu and change it to six vertices um it could just make it eight if you want so make it eight sided Barrel um well she hasn't even eight for now there we go so if it's going to RX 90 to rotate it and scale this down and then we're going to drag this up so scale there and I'm going to go to edit mode extrude and then escape to leave it and then scale it down this is like the full Barrel and then we can drag this forward Shiva could also turn on vertex snapping at the top so there and snap it to the exact front or I guess in the reference you can see it pops out slightly there and then and then drag it back in and then what we can do with this also is I want to like bevel the front part of the barrel so if I just go select all these edges I can go Ctrl and B to Bevel it cool that school just rounding it I'll slightly um might have to shrink the barrel down a bit just so it doesn't collide with any of the um any of the bevels then kind of get it centered-ish okay and then we can do something called a booleans or you can either like have this as actual hole um because you can see right now it just has the piece behind it um so what we could do is we could have a like a hole like this so if I just press k for the knife tool just make a rough hole like that um and then it doesn't increase the body count too much so there we can just select the edges and J to join them so let's actually just join the movie and then you can join these as well cool and then that just helps to add in all the edges properly and then we can just select this face and then extrude it back as well yeah so that will be that we actually have an actual Barrel in our gun and then we can add some details into this gun so I'm going to select these edges over here on the back of the handle and then G to us to Edge slide there we go you can do the same thing over here G2 after Edge slide um doesn't make too much sense uh let's leave it like that leave there um you can do that with the front just slightly well not as much the G to us it started again cool um and then something over here I could just drag these slightly okay and then next off what I want to do is add in the uh what's it the trigger place so there we go this is like the guard piece for it so actually let me grab parts of this so it's best to just add an edge up like there so you can make black one continuous mesh so drag that out s s zero there we go drag there maybe add one more Edge to your best part zero let's drag that down there so that's one piece for it let's drag these pieces in uh we should just make them flatter then if you have the vertex zapping you can just go g and z and then control to snap it there g e z control snap it just so that they're actually flat on the inside there we go and then we can make it like kind of round edges by doing this the guy just built this almost okay and then go just add an edge up here and then grab the face go extrude up and then we just have to go at two Edge Loops let's just add one drag it across add another one go across cool there we go and then we could just go drag this down and then select both the faces X bases and then just select these two f yeah okay and then we can do something similar just to drag these out that kind of looks like it almost melted out I think make it anything thinner we'll do like some like that um up to you kind of how you want to make your piece look um you could also just drag these pieces up to make the transition a lot harsher back to batch that basically looks like it just changes but yeah okay drive that down maybe and there we go because I shaped with back piece so then this kind of stays up you could also add the ions out just with some simple cubes just to actually start and scale these down then there scale bar grab the top scale it down and then select it shift d duplicate and scale down putting that back throughout this whole thing wood there we go and now we've got the iron sights in there and then if you want to just end it off with the mag or yeah then we're going to shift d to duplicate this bottom part the bar selection again and I'm going to scale this down you can see it's mainly scaling on the y-axis I'm just going to g x drag it in there we go and then screw down and then how effect you want that the base um there then I'm going to go select this top face like this and press R to insert and then B so that it actually sticks together in the middle and there and then we can just drag grab this and then just extrude it up the handle there we go and then you could say like add over CN or Edge open I'm not necessary but just so you have that mag over here and then there we go we have a very simplistic done just add a trigger in so same thing just out of the cube uh screwed it down and then once we've done this it will like start running them so just x x zero that's X zero so if you enjoyed this I'm going to be making uh like two other videos on how to make locally weapons so those will be linked down below if you're making your own game you also need to learn how to make low body characters so click over here onto this video to learn that now cheers
