how to make a chat overlay with streamer.bot

[Music] hello and welcome back to another streamer bot tutorial today I'm going to show you how to make a super simple um chat overall um so first off we're going to go in the Stream robot we're going to add something and I'm going to call it chat overlay and we'll just group it under chat okay the next thing that we're going to want to do is we're going to want to go into um Swit or triggers go into chat and chat message so anytime that a message is happens we um it's going to trigger next thing that we're going to want to do is we're going to want to make a file on our desktop or you can make it anywhere I'm just going to make it on my desktop and I'm going to name it chat [Music] overlay and then I'm going to open it and I'm going to do new over here text doent chat overlay now we're going to go into subactions we're going to go um core file IO and we're going to do right to file and then we go to file the right um it yes it'll be fine okay and then what we want to put in here is user raw [Music] input that's it for the streamer bot side of things so we're going to go into OBS and we are going to I'm going to go into my alerts and we're going to go into to here go text GDI and name this chat [Music] overlay read from file browse I don't know why it keeps going here find your folder that overlay oh one other thing in streamer bought that I didn't mention is we want it to append the [Music] file okay now we want to go into our fonts we probably want to make it like 40 and then you can choose whatever for uh your style and then okay now we can do hello and it shows up there in the corner it's hard to see hold on let me move hi what's up oh shoot you can't see anything oh no there we go [Music] and then just whatever you type will show up there um one other thing let's go end our chat alert chat log mode and then you you can choose how many [Music] um how many lines show up before it disappear cheers all right well that's it for this tutorial thanks for watching [Music] goodbye
