Hi there, it's Michael here from the GroupM recruiting team and in this video we're going to cover how to join a teams interview. So for joining your first teams interview in Gmail or Outlook simply click the join Microsoft Teams meeting link in the invitation. This will open in your default browser and if you have the Teams application already click launch it now and if not click join on the web instead. You may be asked to give permission for your browser to access your microphone and camera for the call. For the best experience we recommend the latest version of Chrome. Click 'Allow' to start the interview and you only need to do this the first time. It will remember your settings. Using the Safari browser is not recommended. You'll then be asked for your name which you can leave blank and choose if you want to join with your camera on or off and your microphone on or off. When ready, click 'Join now'. If you see 'Someone in the meeting should let you in soon' don't panic you're in the virtual lobby. Someone from GroupM needs to admit you to the meeting You can always turn your camera on or off and microphone on or off at this stage Now if this is a regular meeting you can ask the person from GroupM to change the settings so you can join without waiting in the lobby You're now in a call: meeting settings like mute, screenshare, camera chat are all at the bottom in the meeting controls and make sure you mute yourself when you aren't speaking for the best quality call. Questions we often get are: my company uses Skype for Business how can I join a Microsoft Teams call? Well, if you're still using Skype for business at your organization or a home you can still join a Microsoft Teams call when the time comes for your meeting simply click on the join Microsoft teams meeting link in your calendar You'll be directed to a web page to start the meeting and make sure you choose join on the web instead. A question we often get is: do I need to install anything to get Microsoft Teams to work the answer is no you don't need to install Microsoft Teams to join the meeting and if you're using it already you can join via the app if not just join online. We get asked: I've got my first Teams call coming up should I do anything differently? If this is your first time joining a group an interview or Teams meeting we recommend joining a few minutes early just to make sure you can get into the meeting without any problems and set up for the best experience. And finally some interview tips: Number 1: try practicing by making a video of yourself answering sample interview questions after you do this then watch yourself answering the questions on camera this will let you see what you will most likely look like on the screen to the interviewer. Number 2: Treat video interviews like regular interviews. Prepare for them as if they're regular in-person interviews this includes doing your research on not only their company interviewer and the role but also on what you need to know to impress. Be sure to ask your recruiter for clues on this. Tip number 3 is: be yourself Don't let acknowledge II get in the way of letting your personality shine through. Tip Number 4: don't lose sight of the formality of this meeting even though video interviews take place at your home with your webcam, they're still interviews. Number 5: wear pants no further explanation needed Number 6: Dress in solid colors. Solid colors as opposed to stripes or other patterns the best on screen. So, good luck with your meeting and we hope your interview is a great success
