hi I'm Chris O'Connor and I'm with A1 Affordable Garage Door Services and I wanted to share with you today we get a lot of phone calls for how do I insulate my own door what do you have to insulate your own door well for a long time we didn't have anything that we felt would be beneficial to the homeowner and partly because a lot of the insulation kits that are out there they add a lot of weight to your door and when you put a lot of extra weight on your door then the big torsion springs those coils above your garage door they tend to be out of balance when your door is out of balance then your openers going to work harder so we found a new reach barrier DIY you can do it yourself to install into the garage door to really help save energy costs inside your garage your garage is the biggest energy waster out there so what it is basically it's a barrier just like you would in have it in an attic it's got a silver side on both sides and then it has some air pockets and air bubbles in between the two and what it does is it radiates that heat pack outside of the garage instead of inside of the garage now this is the new technology that they have and they've just recently upgraded it so you have silver on both sides keep it simple the one that I'm going to install for you has white on the back and just silver on the outside now when I say it's a DIY it truly is a DIY simply all you'll get a package of stickups and they stick to the garage door as well to the insulation and then all you do is you just stick them up here and I'm going to show you how quickly these panels come cut exactly to fit inside here now this is for an eight-foot-tall door so simply all you have to do is just stuff it in now remember I didn't put any systems on here because we like to demonstrate this into our show room but see how quick and easy it is and how easy it is to maneuver and get this looking nice and pretty now yours will be stuffed to your door because you've used stickum but you can see how quick and easy that is to do you can make it a lot prettier if you need to tuck it in you can trim it out if that's what you want to do whatever you want to do to make it look pretty but it will make a big difference inside your garage almost a 10 to 20 degree difference inside your garage so if your door is in the West and you don't want to replace it this will help it tremendously
