How to Install PostgreSQL & pgAdmin 4 on Windows 10 [ 2024 Update ] - Step by Step In Details

hello and what's up guys how are you i am vijay kholadra and welcome back to my channel so today in this video i will show you how you can install postgresql on windows 10 so if you are new then please subscribe my youtube channel and also press the bell icon to never miss any updates so without wasting time let's get started in order to install postgresql i i have provided you a link in description so click on it so here you will be visit here at the official download link so here you can see that download postgresql so scroll down and here you can see that different different operating systems are available here so if you are on linux then you can set up this uh you can follow this guide also this is for mac os and also for windows so this uh the this video is purpose on windows so i'm going to show you how you can install on windows so here you can see that postgresql versions uh 14.5 and all others so we we have to install latest one so we are selecting this 14.5 so here you you have to download on this so it will be download so here you can see that our download page is shown here and we have to download it so here you can see that our postgresql database is now started downloading has been started so let's wait until it complete so here you can see that our postgresql is now successfully downloaded so let's install it so go to downloads now right click and run as administrator click on yes so now we have to set up our postgresql so just simply click on next so here you can see that please specify the directory where postgresql will be installed so here you can change it uh you can change by default in your location as you want but uh in my case i keep it default so click on next now we can see postgresql server pc admin for stack builder and command line tools so for this time we don't need this tag builder so i am going to untick this now click on next so this is the data directory where our data will be stored so by default i will selecting this now click on next now here you you have to provide the password so let me type here password it is a super super user database password so please uh make sure you have uh write the password strong so click on now next now by default port is 5432 keep it tip and now now click on next now click on next also next so now is starting installing so let's wait until it complete so here you can see that our successful setup wizard is now completed so just click on finish so now let's check our let's verify our postgresql is successfully installed or not so in order to verify we have to click on this search and type here psql shell now now here we have to verify our postgresql so just uh by default it will build server is localhost now by default database is postgresql now by default port is 54 so you have to just press enter and also enter now we have to provide our password so type your password while we have installing that entered the password so enter the password here so here you can see that we have successfully uh console our postgresql so now let's verify uh the postgresql version so type here select [Music] and version now press enter so here you can see that our postgresql version is 14.5 it means we have successfully installed postgresql on windows 10. so i hope you guys like this video if you like this then please like leave a like and drop a comment and don't forget to subscribe and thanks for watching [Music] you
