HOW TO INSTALL OPTIFINE FOR MINECRAFT 1.19 ON MAC! | Tutorial

what's up guys i'm andrew and today i'm going to be showing you how to install optifine for minecraft 1.19 on mac let's get started all right so first what we're going to need to do is install java and to do that what we need to do is open up any internet browser and search for java download like this then go to this one that says java downloads oracle i'll leave a link to this down in the description and go ahead and make sure this java 18 tab is selected go ahead and go to mac os and there should be four files here so what you want to do if you have a mac with um an intel chip you're going to want to do this one on the bottom right here but if you have a mac with an m1 chip you want to do the arm dmg installer so i have a mac with an m1 chip the installation process is exactly the same just go ahead and hit the download link and once it's downloaded you can go ahead and drag this to your desktop hit clear and now you can minimize your browser for now so now what you need to do with this is go ahead and um right click and click open it should open this little window here that has a package in it go ahead and double click this package and then it should open up an installer go ahead and hit continue install enter your password and once it's done it should say install succeeded now you can hit close close this window and now you can throw this dmg in the trash and now you've completed the first step of installing optifine so now what we need to do is actually go ahead and get the optifine file so go ahead and open back up your browser and search for optifine it's like this optifine.net or just click the second link in the description um then go once you're here go ahead and go to downloads and under 1.19 go to preview versions and this is the download that you want to do right here but if you're downloading this sometime later after 1.19 has been out for a while it should look a little something like this but for now you need to hit preview versions to get your download go ahead and click mirror this will give you the download without having to watch an ad go ahead and hit download now it'll go to your downloads it'll pop up with an ad that's fine you just close this tab and then go ahead and drag this optifine to your desktop hit clear and now you can close your browser so what you're going to want to do is go ahead and open up your optifine file if you double click it and you get a message like this all you need to do is right click and hit open with java launcher just click open and now it should have a little window saying install extract or cancel go ahead and hit install and it should say optifine successfully installed so now what you're going to want to do is go ahead and open up finder go to this go tab up here hold down alt or option and as you can see when i do that the library tab pops up go ahead and hit that go to application support go to minecraft and then go to mods if there if you do not have a mods folder all you need to do is go ahead and click new folder and just name it mods enter and now you can drag your optifine into there click move and now optifine is completely installed so now what you're going to want to do is go ahead and open up your minecraft launcher here and you should see a new optifine installation and if it's there you can make sure that was selected and you're good to go but if you do not have one all you need to do is go to installations and it should be right here if it's not don't panic all you need to do is just click new installation go to version right here and click the optifine version that you downloaded and then hit create but i don't need that one so i can just delete that and if your optifine version still isn't there this can be resolved by just simply quitting and relaunching the minecraft launcher and that's it you're done installing optifine and that's it guys it's that simple to install optifine for minecraft 1.19 on mac i hope you guys enjoyed please leave a like and subscribe if you haven't already and i'll see in the next video bye guys
