hey cloud admins Jack Wallen here to help you get things done let's see how fast we can get next cloud with SSL support installed with the help of snap the first thing we must do is install next cloud with snap to do this login to your Ubuntu server and issue the command sudo snap install next cloud once the installation completes point a browser to HTTP colon slash slash server IP where server IP is the IP address of your hosting server you will be greeted by the create admin account window type a username and a password and click finish setup next we're going to add SSL support to the installation you can go to routes with this either install an SSL certificate from let's encrypt or install a self-signed certificate if this is for testing purposes or internal use only you can add SSL self-signed support with the command sudo next cloud dot enable - HTTPS self - signed if you want to use a trusted certificate and your next cloud instances when facing with a valid domain name you can install SSL with let's encrypt with the command sudo next cloud dot enable - HTTPS let's - encrypt once either of those commands complete Apache will restart and you should be able to reach next cloud with the address HTTP colon slash slash server IP where server IP is the IP address of your hosting server hey everybody don't forget to like this video and subscribe to our TechRepublic youtube channel and be sure to check out more how-to videos at how to make tech work
