How to Install CodeBlocks ( IDE 20.03 ) with MinGW for C and C++ Programming on Windows 11

hey guys welcome to learning that in this video we will see how we can download and install the latest version of code blocks IDE in Windows 10 operating system so here the first thing that we have to do is we have to open up any browser installed in our PC I have Google Chrome so I'm going to open it up and in this URL bar we need to enter the URL of code blocks and it is code blocks dot-org it will open up the website now here we're going to click on this Downloads button now in this downloads page we will click on this download the binary release and here if we scroll down to the windows section then we can see that the code blocks IDE is available as only IDE and also it is available with the mingw and also you have the option of downloading the setup non-admin and now you can you have the option of downloading the zip file and all those and also here you guys can see we have the option to download 32-bit and 64-bit versions now if you want it for any other platform then you guys can scroll down and you guys can see the section for linux and also you guys can see the section for the mat now here i'm gonna scroll back to the windows section and i want to download the code blocks IDE along with the mingw now here whenever you guys can see the 32-bit mention it is the 32-bit otherwise it is a 64-bit and here as I said before I want to download the code blocks IDE along with the mingw and you know when we are downloading this if we look at the node then it says that the code blocks 20.0 3 mingw setup which is the 64-bit version it comes with the mingw w 64 project it is the 64-bit version of the mingw now here I want to download this 64 bit depending on the type of operating system that you have you can download 64 or 32 bit and I want this setup dot exe so here I can download it from these two sources I'm gonna go for the sourceforge.net and it will take us to that page and the download will start automatically okay now the download has started now we need to wait for this download to finish depending on your internet connection speed it will take some time ok now the download has finished we will click on this show in folder option which will open up the folder where we have saved our download - in this downloads folder and this can see codeblocks 20.0 3 mingw setup so here to install it we will double click on this file if it ask for the permission then click on s and provide the permission and now here we have the code blocks installation click on next and click on I agree and here we're not gonna change anything click on next and here just make a note of this path C program files code blocks then click on install now it will extract the files and install the code blocks ID along with mingw it says do you want to run code blocks now I'm gonna click on no and then I'm gonna click on next and click on this finish and then I will close this folder and the Chrome browser now here we can launch the code blocks IDE and use it but before that I want to do one more thing and that is I want to add the location of mingw installation to the path enrollment variables so that we can use the c c++ other tool sets from any folders in this file system so to do that we will open up the my computer and here we will open up the c drive and if you remember we have installed the code blocks ID at c program files and code blocks so i'm gonna open up this folder and here you guys can see a folder called as mingw open it up and here you need to open up bin folder and after that just click on here in this address bar and copy this path and now for that close this and now click on the start button search for control panel open it up and here system and security click on that and now here it is can see system click on it and now here you guys can see an option called as advanced system settings click on that and here you will see enrollment variables click on this and it will open up enrollment variables window here you guys can see user variables and system variables in this user variable section select the path enrollment variable click on edit and it will open up edit enrollment variable window here click on new and paste the path that you have copied and after that click on OK click on OK click on OK and close the system window now go to start search for CMD open up the command prompt and type in GCC - - version and here you get this information talking about the version that is installed so if you get this method then it means that you have set the path environment variable properly now you can run C C++ programs from any folder in the file system after that close the command prompt and now open up the code blocks IDE and here gnu GCC compiler detected click on OK and here I'm gonna say leave everything as it is and click on OK now we have the code blocks ID and we can start developing the applications using it so this is how we can download and install code blocks IDE along with mingw so this is it guys for this video thank you for watching if you liked it hit the like button you put on like it hit the dislike button if you want to say something then that in the comment box for more tutorials like this do subscribe to the channel thank you for watching I'll see you later in the next video
