- How to import SRT Files to Premiere Pro. Hello everyone, my name is Tim. And in this video, I'll
show you how you can easily import your SRT Files to Premiere Pro, how to edit your subtitles
in your Premiere Pro, and how you can quickly create and download your separate
SRT Files from Veed. I'll keep it sweet and
simple, so let's get started. You're looking at an
open Premiere Pro project in which I uploaded a simple video. I already have my SRT File for this video, but I didn't import it yet,
to import your SRT File, simply go over to File
in the top left corner and click on Import, then select
the SRT File you would like to import and click on Open, after that, drag your SRT File from the
project bin onto the timeline. Depending on your version of Premiere Pro, you will see a separate
C track layer appear with the subtitles, I already corrected and aligned the
information in the SRT File with the video with Veed's
online video editor. Later in the video, I'll
show you how I did that, but first, I'm going to show you how you can further edit your
subtitles in Premiere Pro. You can edit the text by double clicking on one of the subtitle
bars in the timeline and on the upcoming window,
double click on the text to edit them separately,
and change the start and the end point of your
subtitles by clicking and dragging the sides
of the subtitle bars in the timeline layer to your liking. You can also change the styling of your subtitles
collectively or separately. In this case, I want to change
them all at the same time. Simply, select all the
subtitle bars in the timeline, then head over to Essential
Graphics, and under Edit, you can change the font, size, colors, backgrounds, and much more. If you don't have a separate
SRT File for your video yet, don't worry, I'll show
you how you can quickly and easily do this with Veed,
simply hop over to Veed.io, you can create an account for free or click on the first
link in the description to go straight to the website. Once you're on the homepage,
click on Upload Your Video, then click on Upload File,
select your video clip, and click on Open, and now
your video should be imported. To create an SRT File, we
have to transcribe the audio in the video first,
simply click on Subtitles on the left-hand side, to automatically transcribe your audio,
click on Auto Transcribe. After that, select the language
you speak in your video which is English in this
case, and click on Start. After a short moment,
the audio in your video will be transcribed to
text, before downloading the SRT File, if necessary,
check and change your text on the left-hand side like so. And, alter the timeline
positions by clicking and dragging your subtitle
bars on the bottom timeline. Once you're satisfied, we're
going to create an SRT File by hopping over to Options,
then on the Download Subtitles, select SRT Format, and finally
click on the Download button on the right to download
your SRT File straight to your computer, you
can now use this SRT File to import in your Premiere Pro projects as shown at the beginning of this video. And, that's it for this video. Thank you so much for watching
