how to hang sheetrock by yourself

how you doing folks at home I'm Eric Madden professional carpenter and I'm going to show you two how to hang sheetrock by yourself so the first thing I do is that measure out my studs and we just built this wall so they're all gonna be right they may not be right in your situation they just or whatever they are just measure the map and wherever they are we're gonna make we're gonna measure on our sheet rock first you make your hole cut we do not go up against this weird pole so this is the weird thing and we're gonna go around we're gonna make little little marks on here and I have already done that what I did we picked my mighty square like this and I just drew these lines I drew them very light if you don't have a t-square you can always use like your level and just make a tick mark at the top and the bottom or you can use a string or whatever it is you just want to have light marks on it I just do it nice and light so that I can see this okay no we're doing this because we're gonna hang this alone I'm not gonna have the help and I can actually do this on a ceiling so what I do is that take the screws and I get them started I poke them through there now when you're hanging this you can't necessarily be reaching in your pouch getting screws out or hold your gun at the same time so you're gonna start by just putting screws in it ahead of time you don't have to pull all in but put enough in like that so that you can get this thing up and by the time you get these scooters in its holding it for you simple as that typically I'll do like three in each one but I could always just do a couple and then one coming in between so now that I got that there I got that screw gun handy I got screws ready something like this start with the three and then I come in do two more so each one of my lines [Music]
