good day everyone I'm Joshua Clement and today I'm going to talk about how to grow uneven tile now in laying tile you want to get it perfectly flat but a lot of times in that old home it's just not possible but don't worry you can fix that with the ground for this job you will need plenty of clean water a float for tile and a sponge a lot of times the uneven tiles come around cuts in your tile or when you're trying to join two floors together so we're going to take our Grau put it onto our float and apply it directly into the seams now since this tile is higher I don't want to come on this side of the tile and drop it down because that's going to make a nasty looking edge instead what I'll do is I'll go to the lower tile and pull it up that's going to make sure that you put plenty of grout into that uneven surface now you don't want to let the grout completely dry before you take your sponge you want to get your sponge nice and wet but not dripping wet you just want it to be completely wet that way it creates water that sits on top of your grout so you can move the grout a little bit more and make it nice and flat so we have this side right here wet we're just going to take and wipe our grout and this will get rid of a lot of that sand look inside your grout then we're going to run the seam long ways as you can see it's kind of created a bevel in there that slopes down to your lower tile and that's what we want we don't want to put too much pressure on to our tile and remove too much of that grout then after we've done that we'll take and rinse our sponge out in our water we want to take a nice clean side and wipe away all the XS on the outer tile you want to leave the spot where the grout is untouched until that dries after it dries you'll just simply take your sponge and scrub the area to get rid of that film look leftover from the grout it's important to make sure that even if your tile is unleveled that you have plenty of mortar underneath your tile to hold it sturdy otherwise you're going to end up with some crack tiles thank you all for watching and good luck with this project
