today i'm going from haneda  airport to tokyo center by monorail   and i'm going to show you how easy and fast it is haneda airport is located within tokyo so it  doesn't take much time to go to the city center   there are several options but personally i  always choose the monorail    because it's the fastest and most convenient way for me. let me show you how to use it, what ticket to buy,   the total cost and time to get  to your destination in tokyo so when you come to haneda  airport on an international flight   most likely you will be arriving at terminal 3  and this is how it looks like super clean and bright and i like that they have it designed in a  way that everything you need is on the same floor all the transportation means are lined up  on a sideboard right in front of you   we are taking the monorail today so let's  follow the sign and walk straight on here   there's an information center on the way  out and you can stop there and ask questions if you need they do speak english here but if  you're taking the monorail i don't think you   need to ask any questions because you can already see the monorail station from here   so you can see that the access to the monorail  is on the same floor and it's really just   a few steps from the arrival gate now it's time to buy a ticket. there's a board  with information about ticket pricing to some   top destinations in the city for example from haneda airport to tokyo station is 660 yen   to shinjuku station is 700 yen etc and you notice that it says here jr line transfer at hamamacho station so the way it works is first you  will take the monorail to go from haneda airport   to a station called hamamatsu and then at hamamoto station, you will switch to another train to get to tokyo station and the price here is  the total cost of the combined ticket   but instead of buying a ticket i recommend you  buy a card called suika    this card will save you a lot of time and money during your time in  japan it's like a debit card you put money in it   and use it to buy tickets and shop at so  many places including vending machines,  convenience stores, etc. this is the card that  almost everyone in tokyo is using every day including myself so here's how to buy the suica card first select english then select project   there are two options here a blank Suica  card or a Suica card with your name on it   the better option is to have your name  on the card so that in case you lose it   you can have it reissued. but for the sake of  this video, i'm going to choose a blank Suica   after that select the amount of money you want to  charge to the card. i recommend charging at least 2000 yen  500 yen will be deposited to your card and  you will have 1500 yen to spend,   which is more than enough to get you to tokyo after you got the card  let's use it to check in and get on the monorail one of the things i love when using the  monorail is that at all stations,    the departure side and the arrival size are separated, so it's not chaotic when you get on and off the train   so after about 13 minutes you will be arriving at Hamamatsu station   we need to get off and  switch to another train here   follow the green sign when it says "transfer to jr lines",   you also use the Suica card  to get out of the monorail station and enter jr  station area here. no need to buy any more ticket   now that you are in jr station you need  to get on the train to your destination   for example, if you go to tokyo  station get on the yamanote line on platform number two it only takes another six minutes to get there    the normal trains are usually more crowded than the monorail. if you avoid rush hours, there's no need to worry well, i hope you found some information you need  in this video. thank you so much for watching!
