since my last video we've learned a thing or two about live studio so let's go over everything I've found and that includes the ideal settings for reducing lag how to fix audio the recommended system requirements and the guaranteed way to get access and we're going to start with the recommended system requirements and this took some digging to find and I was actually quite surprised when I did find it so firstly we'll do a quick comparison with the OBS requirements which for some reason is here on Steam so we can see this recommended Intel i7 8700k 8 gig of RAM and the GeForce 10 series graphics card so that's pretty basic and now for live studio and if you're wondering why you've never found the requirements I'm going to show you why so the problem is these requirements are basically buried deep inside Tick Tock live studio so I'm going to click my profile picture then I'm going to click into the help center here now there's all sorts of different articles here none of them are obvious but I click getting started here then I click on how to go live on tick tock and I weighed through all this information if I keep scrolling eventually we're gonna get to a section which actually shows us the system requirements and here it is now this is where I was actually quite shocked just look at some of these requirements so for example just to run fortnite they're recommending minimum at 2060 and video graphics card now if you excuse me I'll never know how to say this word a light Elite I'll say the letter one so they have these so-called Elite specs and I don't know what that means but to run a game like League of Legends pubg fortnite or console games is recommending an I9 9900k the 2080 RTX graphics card and 32 gig of RAM if we go back to what OBS is recommending here that seems quite ridiculous what live studio is recommending but anyway this is what Tick Tock is suggesting and that means you need the best settings so let's move on to that so if I stay on this article and I literally scroll all the way to the bottom we have this strangely formatted section about 8265 not only is it strange Palmer it's also for some reason mentioning OBS anyway the key Point here is that it says a265 takes up smaller CPU usage and also has Superior fluency and higher definition than h.264 so as a result this is my recommended setting for tick tock live studio so let's just leave this article we'll click on the Cog in the bottom left stay on the stream quality page here scroll down a bit and head into the advanced settings now if I hover my mouse over encoder here you can see what it says hard coding May optimize your live experience by lowering the CPU usage but then strangely it leaves the default on the software encoder so if you're experiencing lag on live studio this is probably one of the things that's causing it because you're probably still on the software encoder and if anyone from Tick Tock does happen to be watching why not set the default to the hardware encoder instead so let's do that now in fact I've already done it but like the article says just click on it and make sure you've chosen the h.265 hardware encoder go through all the other options and I'm going to suggest the top option on all these other ones as well now let's scroll up to the video quality and this bit can be a little bit controversial some people claim that you should only use 720p as people's phones can't handle 1080 however for me I've streamed in 1080P for two years straight on Tick Tock and I hardly get any complaints in my live so I'm going to recommend that you leave it on 1080p now let's talk about audio some people have reported echoing audio so here's the fix and big thanks to cos here on my community tab who shared the fix with us so there's two things Carl says here firstly when you open live studio sometimes your mic or your audio gets duplicated so you need to go in the audio settings and delete one of the sources and also the noise suppression doesn't work very well so we suggest using Nvidia broadcast fill is so let's look at both of those now so just as an example here yeah I've got my primary speaker but also my default device this happens to be the same thing so if I make an error sound here you can see what happens the sound is currently duplicated so if you have something duplicated you can either click to mute it here or you can click the settings Cog and just delete the audio so now you can see back to just one audio source and One mic now on to noise suppression and let me just stop speaking for a few seconds and let's watch this green bar here as you saw the green bar is still moving so even though I have noise suppression enabled here it's clearly not working so let's look at the fix for that so the solution as mentioned by COs in my community tab is the download Nvidia broadcast and a quick note here this does need a 20 series graphics card or above so I've put that link in the description and we're just going to focus on the microphone settings here it's actually really simple just firstly pick your microphone off the list and then make sure the correct effect is added there's only two effects so make sure noise removal is added there is this other effect which is room Echo removal so turn that one on if you want just make sure whatever you're choosing is checked green here so now I'm just restarting live studio and opening it up again because now we're going to have a new microphone source so I'll click back in the sound settings here click on ADD microphone and I now have a new microphone called microphone Nvidia broadcast so now we don't need the noise suppression here I'll just add that and of course I've got my old mic added as well so I'll delete the audio on that and now you have working noise suppression in live studio but let's just test it it's usually delayed by one or two seconds but once I stop speaking this green bar should completely disappear after about two seconds let's watch maybe that took slightly longer but anyway it's better than noise suppression not working at all so hopefully Tick Tock fixes that and we don't actually need to use Nvidia broadcast in the future and if you've got this far in the video why not subscribe to the channel it really helps me out and let's move on to the final topic so let's talk about how to get access to live studio so we've got two things to share with you right now and the second thing I'm going to share allows literally anyone with over a thousand followers to get access to live studio so firstly this is the screenshot from one of my Discord members which is linked in the description by the way and it looks like Tick Tock is slowly rolling out live studio to more American users so one of my Discord members was given a notification inside his tiktok app which led into this and as you can see this let him apply for access to the US beta test of tick tock live studio so just look out for a notification from Tick Tock inside your app but if you aren't getting a notification this second thing I'm going to show you allows literally anyone with over a thousand followers to get access so for this one I have to thank Pro geek who came into my Discord and shared this video with me so let me explain what he found and I've also linked this video in the description so what Pro geek found is that every single person from the UK can download live studio but if you're from another country although it's not impossible you're much less likely to be able to download it so for example I'm from the UK and I'm here in incognito mode on a different account with only a hundred followers and you can see that I can click the download link and download it even though I don't even have a thousand followers even better though Pro Geeks confirmed that if you use a VPN you can download it and then also go live with it and if you're using a VPN why not support the channel by going to nordvpn.com WG Mojo all one word and that gives you up to 68 off nordvpn's packages so just set your node VPN or any other VPN to a British server then head to the live studio download link which I'll put in the description and as long as you keep your VPN on you should then be able to just press start and go live from live studio just one word of caution it's not entirely clear whether this is within the tick tock terms of service however Pro geek has been doing this for many weeks and he hasn't been banned once so try this out for yourself use my nordvpn link if you want to support the channel and let me know in the comments if the VPN method works for you don't forget to sub to the channel if you found this useful if you're looking for one-on-one advice or many other Tick Tock Services then check out my Fiverr page in the description and as usual thanks for watching
