How to Fix Jar files opening as WinRAR Files!

all right what's going on guys welcome back to another video here on this channel today i'm going to teach you guys how to fix your jar files opening as winrar archives um it's pretty simple uh the first thing you have to do is uh just go to your search bar right here and you're just gonna search up control panel and it should show up as a little app right here and the moment i'm recording this right now it's like wednesday july 22nd i have 3180 subscribers so we're like 2 uh 20 away from 3.2 k so make sure that that sub button um because you're really close to 3.2k so make sure to hit that right now if you are not subbed it's free and you can unsub anytime but yeah this is like this might occur to you if you are trying to get like mods at the optifine uh for like java edition on minecraft and it opens as a winrar and you can't actually do it so that's what i'm pretty much just going to show you guys how to do so as soon as you're in the control panel you're just going to click on programs and if you don't have java and like installed make sure to install that that might be one of the reasons as well so make sure to install that if it's not installed and basically how to check that you can go programs and features you're just going to search for java right here and as you can see for me i have it uh so just make sure that before you do this but if you don't just install it or something like that and it probably should show up and this one right here the second one down this is a little checklist and it should open up settings if it doesn't you should be able to follow along pretty easily all right so all you have to do now is scroll down to choose default apps by file type and this should take a moment to load it for me so 10 seconds like that just i'm not sure because there's so many um files and stuff it's like a little bit different uh as you can see it's pretty easy to find to find the eye and then it's like the first one i believe in the jar or the j so as you can see it's in alphabetical order so you're just going to go all the way down until you find it i it should be the first one i believe for the second one at least yeah it's like the second one right here and for me for the sake of this video [Music] i can't really do all um stuff but you're just gonna it should be on the webinar and you're just gonna click java tm platform sc binary and it should accept right there you don't have to save anything you just get out of the settings make sure you like that are experiencing the same problems that i did um so basically that's going to wrap up this video and i hope you guys enjoyed and we'll see you next time
