How To Fix Corrupted USB Drive Or SD Card In Windows Computer

hey guys welcome back it's KB here so in this video I'm gonna show you how to fix the corrupted SD card or USB Drive so the most common issues with the USB or SD card is that they lose the capacity and whenever we try to access them we get error we can't access them so I have an example USB drive here right here so let me let me show you what I mean okay let me insert it okay my computer made a sound that means my USB is plugged in now let's try to access over USB Drive okay okay what it gives us an error please insert a disk into a USB but I have inside it already so if I go into that is this PC and you can see USB type is plugged in properly and whenever I go to the property you know it says zero bytes my USB car is corrupted right now so let's try to format this actually you can see here so that's what I mean unknown capacity when the USB Drive or any storage device loses the capacity there is like corrupted you know it's corrupted so it's not physically damaged so as long as you know that your USB Drive or any storage device is not physically damaged then actually it is really easy to fix them so I'm gonna try to format this but let's say unable to form it as you know we have no capacity in our storage device and I know that my USB Drive is 8 gigabyte so it's only showing me 0 so in your case it could be it could be showing you 1 megabyte 4 gigabyte or anything like that you know half of your capacity even if your storage device is not showing up in the file manager you can still fix that as long as you know that it's not physically broken so enough talk let's fix the problem so it's actually really easy and people already know about it but if you don't know then yeah let's do this first of all you have to search for CMD which is command prompt and right click and run as administrator and after that you will see this command window so don't be scared if you know what you are doing then it will be fine so make sure that your as command prompt is running as administrator now here after the system 32 type disk part like that don't worry I will write down all the codes wherever I write so you can copy and paste the text from the description ok so type diskpart and after that you just wait now you will see disk part session will start within the command prompt now here you have to type list disk click OK now these are the list of all of your disk storage devices on your computer so now here you have to identify which one is your rapid USB Drive or hard drive it does not only apply to USB Drive or SD card it also applies to the hard drive hard disk if you have a hard disk you can also fix your hardest by doing this so as I said my corrupted USB Drive was 8 gigabyte so now I know that it's only seven thousand and six hundred megabyte this one the disk 2 is my USB Drive the disk one is my hard drive the disk 0 is my SSD drive so now we know that disk 2 is our USB Drive now we can type here select ok from spelling select disk - ok and it will say disc 2 is now selected now all you have to do is type clean now hit enter and it will clean your disk and format your disk and make it work again so you can see here it says this card succeeded in cleaning the day it takes time it depends on your computer speed so I have really good computer so it took around 30 seconds to clean my disk now I can type exit yeah like that and close the command prompt once we are done with the command prompt we have to type here disk management tool so you have to click on this create and format hard disk partitions so just click on it and after that it will open the disk management tool here you will find your USB device so you have to find it so you can see here removable device F so we have the hard drive you know you have to identify which one is your USB Drive so I know this one is mine because it's only a gigabyte and you can see here it says 7 point 43 gigabyte unlocated so we have right clicks new volume and next next next if we want to give it a name you can give a name us B Drive naming is optional if we want to name it whatever you want to name just name it and hit next and after that hit finish and you will see a magic happens your device is now successfully repaired fixed if it was corrupted if your drive was physically damaged then you know you can't fix it so I'm gonna go into the file manager this PC and you can see a USB Drive II is now fixed if we go into the property all the capacity of our USB Drive the spec 7.39 gigabyte which is 8 gigabyte and now we can even form it and do whatever we want like you can see here earlier it was saying that inside the disk but now it's fixed so that's how you fix almost any type of issues you get with this storage device not only to the USB or SD card you can also fix the hard drives the only thing you have to keep in mind that make sure that your storage device is not physically damaged so if it's only corrupted so break then you can easily fix them by following those command lines what I did in the command prompt so yeah that's it hope you enjoyed it I will put all the text whatever I used in command prompt you can copy and paste and do the ping what I did to fix my USB Drive so yeah that's it I will see you in the next one take care yourself in a fun bye
