How to Fix Common GoXLR Audio Issues

hey everybody it's turbo david the go xlr guru today i'm going to show you how to fix your go xlr windows audio settings in two minutes or less so let's get right to it a lot of the users that come to the discord come in with issues such as their game playing through their microphone or other issues like their music playing them through the microphone when it shouldn't be i'm going to go through here in the next minute or so and show you how to set your windows settings properly the easiest way to get to the settings that i'm going to is to search for change system sounds in windows this will bring you to the change system sounds or sound control panel i currently have displaying the correct default settings for the go xlr the chat should be default communications device and system should be your default device one other thing you want to check on here is make sure that your levels are at 100 percent and not muted windows is notorious for changing these settings after upgrades or updates over to the recording tab your chat mic should be your default device and your fault communications device so once again on your playback tab chat as default comms system is default and on your recording chat mic should be the default device and the default communications device broadcast stream mix should not be ever a default device in windows this will only give you problems to set your default devices in an application such as discord you would do it as follows you'd go into the application you'd go to user settings voice and video and make sure your input device is set to chat mic and chat for output device this is going to be for any application that allows you to set it within the application itself like discord or most games for applications that don't allow you to set it within the application you're going to go ahead and do it this way you're going to go to the taskbar to the volume icon right click and go to open sound settings just to note you should not be changing your default devices here this doesn't give you the proper options you're going to want to do that from the sound control panel like we showed you earlier the section that we're looking for here is app volume and device preferences and in this case i can show you either on google chrome or spotify where i'm changing my output device to the one that i wanted to play to if your application does not show up here make sure you have audio playing in that application it will not show up here without it so in my case i have music selected for spotify and for chrome i have selected for game so if i'm playing audio in either of those applications i can go ahead and i can adjust those with my faders on my go xlr if for some reason windows is not playing properly and won't let you set an application for some reason we do suggest users download ear trumpet ear trumpet can be found on the microsoft store just do simple search for ear trumpet and install it we do have more information available in the discord on how ear trump it works so that's how to fix your windows audio settings in a minute or two again if you have any issues or have problems please reach out to me on the tc helicon discord i'll link it below i am mvp there and i help as many people as i can with their issues again if you like the content of this video please like subscribe and comment and thanks for watching this is turbo david the go xlr guru
