How To Factory Reset Your IP Camera - Forgot Password FIX!!

hey everyone welcome back i'm jason and today's video was another request uh about ip cameras how to factory reset them i got a couple people asking me that their recorders are showing uh or their cameras disappeared on their recorders and when they went to go check it said password error so this video i'm going to show you guys on three different types of cameras pretty much all the same how to factory reset it okay so i got the first camera we're gonna do it's uh this one here it's a hike vision it's the acrosense camera right over here even says recess reset we're gonna do is just remove it i already unscrewed it just to save some time so the way to reset this camera there's a little bun right there you do have to remove it so remove the cord now you're gonna press and hold the reset button and now we're going to plug this back in now we're just going to hold it for a few seconds usually there's a little light this one doesn't have one so if you hold it for like uh just to be safe i would hold it for about a minute you will hear the camera give you a little click usually when it does it that means it it's rebooting itself there's the click i don't know if you guys heard that okay so i'm going to release it and this camera should now be factory reset if you guys try to hold the reset button while it's powered up it will not factory reset you do need to hold the reset button down with no power connected to it and pretty much every ip camera is like that so here is a bullet style camera same thing there's that reset button hold it or unplug it hold it down once again for a few seconds and it'll reboot it's pretty much the exact same setup now move this one aside i've got this one i believe this is a it's a vivo tech it's a little bit higher end if i plug it in this one should have a light that blinks so you can see the little light right there okay this one here you guys search for the reset if your camera is similar to this one look for the rst i don't know if the camera will pick that up rst it's right there this one here you're going to need something a little pointy to get in there i got the allen key here and it fits perfect inside so this one here i do have it powered up right there you can see the light i'm just going to plug it right from here so if you see the light it's out now i'm going to hold i just want to try to get the light just so you could see what i'm talking so i'm holding the reset button down plugging it back in hopefully you can see the light on the camera what we're waiting for is our light to blink there you go it just came back on hopefully the camera saw that so once it does come back on you guys could kind of hear it it just reset itself and that's all is to it now if you go back to your recorder if you do have the plug and play recorder just plug it in and automatically your camera will pop up right away all right guys so that's how easy it is to reset an ip camera if you guys still have any questions on this please give me a comment below you like this video thumbs up uh please hit that subscribe button and like always thanks for watching and have a great day
