How To Export Blender Animation to Unreal Engine 5

hey everyone cliff from roundtable series here here's a quick tutorial on how to get your blended animation into unreal engine 5 so here i have my batman character with some animation you want to select your character armature and shift select your mesh and go to file export and export as an fbx when the window shows up under limit 2 select selected object so it's not the whole scene i leave all the object types alone under transform i select x forward and z up and i remove add leaf bones under armature i name my animation and hit export fbx when it's finished exporting i open up unreal engine 5. for my shot i need a new blank level to stay organized i always make a folder for my character's assets once i'm here i select import and find my animation since we are importing the character for the first time you want to keep skeletal mesh and import mesh checked after your character is imported you only need to import the animation going forward under animation make sure the import animation is also checked and that's it your animation is an unreal engine to check your animation double click the one that says rig action and scroll to the timeline since i've started animation i've been strictly using maya for my character animation over the past year i've been moving towards blender for animation and still using unreal engine as my final renderer most of my tutorials on my channel are maya based so i wanted to start remaking my tutorials so they are blender focused since i received a lot of requests to do so let me know in the comments which tutorial you'd like to see in blender even if it's a remake one of my old ones or a brand new one both the spy thank you guys for watching and i'll see you guys in the next one
