all right chibi I'm gonna be showing you how to export out your animations properly for unity so first once you are done finishing your animation go ahead and just run through the animation itself make sure that everything is looking right everything is looping properly once you're done that what you want to do next is you want to select the model and then select the bone after that you want to go to select and choose hierarchy that'll make it so that everything in the hierarchy for the bones is selected after that you want to go to edit keys and choose bake simulation that'll bake the entire animation onto the timeline here on to the bones and the model after that you want to select everything that is not the model and the bones and delete them and to make sure open up your bones here and you want to delete anything that is not this symbol here once you've done that go over to the side on the right in the bottom corner here there are layers that I've set up you're going to want to delete those as well and once that's all finished you're gonna select your character and the bones again so choose the model the bones and then choose hierarchy then you're gonna go to file and choose game exporter this will open up this window you're gonna choose animation clips and click on the plus symbol here this is where you're gonna put the name for what specific type of animation you're doing so in this case this character is the idle animation and over here you have the start and ending frames for the model remember that your beginning and ending frame are gonna have a bit of lag when you're playing so if you watch here there's a little bit of a pause so instead you want to go back one frame that way it's a smooth transition you're gonna choose the folder next to path and you're going to locate wherever you're gonna be saving your file in my case I have an exports file set up just to be safe keep everything separate and choose choose and then I'm going to name what type of file it is so I'm going to do main character female and put an underscore at the end and hit tab so that you can see here that it says what the name of the file is going to be and then whatever it is that you're exporting out that'll be the name of the file now before I hit export the last thing you want to do is you want to choose settings click on this gear here hit the check mark for edit animation advanced settings scroll all the way to the bottom until you find Advanced Options units here you want to uncheck the automatic and switch from meters to centimeters once you're done doing that you can hit export and that should be it and that is how you export out the animations for the game
