alright so in this video I'm gonna show how I stuck and edit my moon pictures now I'm only going to use six images for purposes of this tutorial just to keep things a little bit quicker and a little bit easier because my map book isn't the quickest on the planet now the process is the same sort of I'm using six images sixty images all 600 it's exactly the same this is just a nice quickie to tutorial fire so the first thing I like to do is go over to crop and choose the square crop option and I like to try and get its tight in on the moon as I can [Music] always leaving a little bit of black around the edges it just helps with the stacking process in Photoshop right so the next thing is to go down to remove chromatic aberration and enable lens profile Corrections now I have to do this manually because my lensing next in the cell and supported currently so all the settings are the same so it's I sorts through fifty four hundred mil f/8 and 100 to the second shot speed these pictures were all taken probably within 30 seconds a minute one another so the Sun has shifted so far right so making sure the first image down here is selected hold the shift key and click the last one and that selects them all and click sync and make sure to adjustments isolated so lens Corrections and crop click synchronize I'll piss themselves across all the images let's just make sure that the crop applied to all of them the moon still in which it is so it's time to take these over to photoshop so again select all the images down the bottom right click head in and open those layers in Photoshop it's important to open those layers in Photoshop and to not edit in Photoshop otherwise you'll end up with several pictures up and individually are supposed to one file and layers all right so here's all the images over in Photoshop so it's time to stack them well to do that select the first layer down here scroll down to the bottom hold the shift key click the last layer and that selects them all and go over to edit and also align layers I like to live on altar generally just quite the job sometimes leaves a little bit of if eNOS around the edges as you can see here but we can shout it out there I'm so now I'm gonna uncheck all the layers starting from the bottom just going to turn them all on it's to make sure the moon hasn't shifted so much within the frame they all look fairly well aligned so now it's time to make a Smart Objects so also each layers down here and I'll still selected go over to layer smart objects and come back just my object [Music] it's no girls my object is turn to stack them so I'm making sure it's my object you selected will to layer again smart objects down on the bottom stack mode and select million and that will stack it and it'll reduce some of the noise so now because the moon looks a little bit too warm for my liking this a little bit orange lobe on the brown side I start out by then it's image and auto color now you can see at the moon it looks a little bit more like you would see in the night sky the next thing I'm gonna do is I'm gonna sharpen up some of the details on the moon try and get this view one two one yeah some of the career is let's look a little bit softer on the edgy so when I saw that out next so we're going to duplicate the layer so I'll just drag it take it across to the tick and we'll go to filter other and high-pass and it's important not to got too mad with this so I don't like the way all the outside of the movement glowing like that so we're gonna turn it down a little bit it strive for even three there we go so you can see the outline here you can see all the careers and everything out there the past they're gonna be sharp and out pressure okay and apply a high pass then make sure your high pass layer selected go so you blend mode and click over let go fact they're not there on enough again you can see how it's sharpened another career has all the mountain ranges the edges of the seeds and everything just makes me look a little bit clearer so that's it for Photoshop so I'll save this and we'll edit again in Lightroom and okay so here's our stacked image over in Lightroom know what we're gonna do is gonna have a quick quick check of the before and after we zoom in you can see in the seas there's a lot less than not he's going on and the mountain range is just a little bit more shap a little bit more shouting so the image of the hole right so first things first with a crop nice and tight to the moon now what am i doing because I want the square crop there we go I like to try and imagine the Milner's a flat disc which can be quite difficult when you can't see it all so I'm thinking that doesn't look too bad on the edges and strain so the tops of bombs out a little bit the other way I'm pretty happy with that the moon itself it doesn't really need too much editing it's all gonna do and it's just a dress the highlights around this side of it and maybe deepen the shadows a little bit just give it a little bit more contrast so I was going to drop the highlights touch that's outside while the brightness along this side you're gonna get that anywhere so the way the Moon and Sun sort of face and the sun's essentially just hitting the moon on this side so you're gonna get a lot of brightness around there but the main the main focus of this picture is all the careers and the season in the Terminator line anyway so now it's gonna drop the shadows a little bit it just gives a little bit more contrast so you can check the before and after doesn't look quite as blown out around here and there's just a little bit more definition in the seas and everything so there we have it that's how I stack and edit my mum pictures a little bit of a short tutorial this one depends on how many images you're stacking histor how long is 2x but that's just the general idea so whether this was six images or 600 whole process stays the same so I hope this video helps you if you liked it give it a thumbs up maybe leave a comment and if you really enjoyed it please consider subscribing to the channel you've helped me out a lot and I'd be able to create more videos like this so thanks for watching
