hey everyone edward here at windows report and in this video i will show you how to easily increase your video ram in windows 11. that's right but before we proceed let's just check how much ram you actually have to do this press the windows button then select the settings icon and afterwards make sure to click on system on the left pane and then on the right side select the display category now in here scroll down until you find the related settings section and click on advanced display underneath it now just click on display adapter properties for display 1. as you can see a new window will appear and in here you'll find out how much graphics memory you have now the one you have to look for is the dedicated video memory which will show you the amount of video memory in your computer so the first method to increase your video ram is to use bias of course to access bias you have to restart your pc and then press the bias key repeatedly during the boot up this might be the f2 f5 f8 or the delete key that can be used to access the bias depending on your laptop or device now in the bios menu make sure to look for an option called advanced features after that look for graphics settings video settings or vga share memory size options this section should give you the option to change the amount of memory allocated to your gpu this section should give you the option to change the amount of memory allocated to your gpu so just change it and then finally save the changes and restart your computer another useful method is to use registry editor to do this press the windows button then simply type regedit and select registry editor from the search result now in here what you have to do is navigate to the following location hkey local machine and double click on software and afterwards scroll way down until you find the intel key and double click to open it now what you have to do here in the left panel is right click on the intel key then hover the mouse over new and select a new key simply name this key as gmm and then click on it now the next thing you have to do is go on the right side of registry editor then on an empty space in the right panel right click hover over new and select a new dword value now what you have to do is simply name this dword value as dedicated segment size after naming it double click on it to open it and make sure that in the base section you choose hexadecimal note that the valid data input is a bit tricky because we're using the hexadecimal values so just enter the recommended value data using your system ram information and then hit on ok that means that for 1 gigabyte of ram you'll get 120 megabytes of video ram so make sure to check the description below as i will also post some values that will make it easier for you to input the data corresponding to the amount of ram you have now just press on ok and restart your computer to have the modifications take effect and then simply test the software or games to see how they function and that's it super simple isn't it as usual for more information and details you can check the article in the description below and if you enjoyed this video just make sure to like and subscribe to our channel thank you
