How to Increase Dedicated Video Memory in Windows 10/11 for Intel, AMD | VRAM Increase | 2024

so hello guys this is sanjeet and welcome back to the channel everyone so guys in today's video i'm going to fix your big problem like fps drop and while editing you are facing some issue with your ide and all that so in this video i'm going to increase your vram and you can also say that video ram before that you need to understand what is the video ram so video ram is basically right next to your graphics card and it comes with your gpu okay so what it does so basically it is used for like improving your image quality and video gaming performance like you are playing some game and in your game you will see some brightening or some lightning in your videos if you increase this video ram this will increase your video quality and your gaming performance and yeah it will increase your fps also so this will help in your video editing and while playing video game like you playing some games on 4k quality and high video resolution quality so this will definitely going to help so for that you just need to check how much video ram current you have just go to settings and just click on system settings okay and in display go to advanced settings and click on this advan display setting okay and just click on display adapter properties for display one okay just click on it and uh here you can see uh currently in my system there is a dedicated video memory 128 mb okay so i'm going to increase it so here i already have some chart you can see corresponding video ram for corresponding ram and i will show you how you can change it okay so just right click on this start icon and run and type here reg edit okay and enter so here you need to click on this computer and now you need to click on this hkey local machine navigate to this click on software and go to intel navigate to intel and here you need to create one folder and you can say that one key just right click and click on key and here you need to type gmm and just right click on gmm folder and go to new and click on this dw ord and 32 bit value okay and just write here dedicated segment size and you can just copy from the description and just double click on it and here you need to put this value which i showed earlier and i have 16 gb ram so i am going to put this to 0 for it and if you have a 4gb you can put 5 1 2 so according to your ram you can just put the value and before that you need to select decimal paste here and click ok and we are now done and we are good to go so that's all we need to do here close all thing and check video ram is increased or not so go here start settings and then settings go to system advanced display setting you need to click on display adapter properties display one so if you are not seeing any change here so you need to just restart your system and you will see here dedicated memory ram increase i think i have read like you can increase only 512 mb so just put the 2048 value if it is increased to that level then it is good and if it is not then it is the maximum for all systems like 512. okay so don't worry about it just restart your system and see the change so guys that's how we can increase the vram or you can say video ram of your system so guys that's it for the video if you like this video just hit the like button and do subscribe for more videos okay thank you so much for watching this video
