How To Draw Rob From Art For Kids Hub

and we're back hey our friends we are back aren't we yes and we're gonna draw with them live yes we hope you guys are gonna follow along with us you got your art supplies ready what are we drawing today uh you know we're gonna draw a self portrait of me rob from art for kids hub yes it's gonna be a lot of fun we're gonna draw a cartoon version of myself and we're also gonna do we're gonna do other lessons like this we're gonna draw you hadley austin and we've already drawn olivia as a super small baby and maybe we might draw a mom yeah we'll draw mrs hubs for sure yeah that'll be a lot of fun now before we do that today though we're gonna we got a spotlight luke yeah we got a spotlight luke he did an awesome job on his challenge he drew what did he draw he grew tons of strawberries grapes and a pineapple he didn't just draw two strawberries he drove he drew four strawberries and he drew two extra things of fruit and they all got funny faces and i love it turned out so awesome luke congratulations on being today's spotlight and we also want to congratulate all of our friends that submitted stuff uh submitted their drawings to the challenge because they all did awesome yeah and it's a lot of fun to spotlight you guys okay all right we're getting a lot of comments from our art friends so we want to say hi hey caleb marshall for it says hi from utah we're from utah yeah hey his neighbors he's our neighbor all right so we hope you get your stuff ready you got a marker some paper and pencils something to color with and we're gonna now we're gonna we're gonna start by drawing my eyes these eyeballs yeah this seems so weird draw drawing myself but it's gonna be a lot of fun we got black hat coming and also my cool t-shirt all right so let's draw some eyes we're gonna draw two circles and we're gonna drum kind of big i'm gonna draw them about this size and i'm gonna leave some space so that we have room for my big nose uh puppy lover says i love you please like me we like you puppy lover in fact we love you and jess farrow asked if we could give them a shout out there's your shout out there you go all right we're going to draw smaller circles in the top right of my eyes that's for the highlight then we're going to color in the dark circle but leave those white those little circles white and this makes the eyes look shiny we do this to all of our eyes because we like making them look shiny and friendly the technical term for the white dot is a highlight so we always add highlights to the eyes make them look shiny nice job good all right now we're going to draw the the top of each eye so we're going to draw an upside down u we're going to start here we're going to touch the top like this and then come back down now we're going to leave the bottom open but when we color it in we're going to leave this inside part white cool now we're going to do the same thing on the other side now if you guys are just joining us if you're if you're coming on late it's ok remember even though this is live you can still rewind the lesson all the way to the beginning and if we go too fast you can always pause the video yeah you can always pause the video okay these are really cool eyes don't you think yep yep okay now we're gonna drop we're gonna draw the nose we're gonna draw a u-shape but we're gonna kind of draw a square u-shape if that makes any sense mine's a little weird nose square nose yeah now we're going to draw now let's see uh now we're going to draw the mouth and we're going to draw a line that goes from one corner of the eye over to the other corner of the eye see that each corner straight down straight down looks like you're really happy yeah well not yet we're gonna try now we're gonna draw a u that connects one side over to the other side now if now i look happy and we're gonna draw the teeth we're gonna draw another line that goes across the top you have one big teeth one big tooth now the i think what's cool about this lesson even though it's a self portrait we had so many requests i couldn't believe how many requests we get to draw ourselves and even though this is a picture of me you could you guys can use the same steps that we're doing to draw rob me you could you could do this to draw your dad you could draw you can change the details to actually turn this into anybody yes all right now we're going to draw my face we're going to draw the chin we're going to start here we're going to come down like this and then we're going to curve in and then we want to leave a little point for my chin oops there we go we're going to come back up and then end at the same spot over here nice job now if that's a little too complicated you can just draw a u a u shape now what do i usually wear send some balls oh wait actually before we draw the hat i'm gonna i'm gonna extend the two sides up on this side now we're getting a ton of comments and i just wanted to tell you guys i know it's it's difficult for us to answer some of your comments while we're doing the lesson but we're going to try to keep an eye on it and then towards the end when we're coloring our drawing i'll be able to answer more more of our more of our art friends comments so yeah even let's see kitty craft says can i have a shout out i love you guys so much we love you too kitty craft okay and then the girl child says where are you from we're from utah yep okay what do we get let's draw let's try eyebrows next so we're gonna draw a curve that goes over each eye and i went back over it so it's thicker aj abbotton says i'm from florida somebody asked why is it called art for kids hub that's because we draw we do art for kids and hub means like the center so it's like the center like base it could be the base for all things really big eyebrows those are huge eyebrows i like them don't have huge eyebrows they're kind of that big that's okay that's all right if they're different right okay now now let's draw my hat so we're going to draw make sure these edges are a little over and then we're going to connect watch this we're going to connect the left side to the right side you know what let's do we could do uh let's do there now our friends can see this while we're drawing now we're going to extend each side past the side of the of my head so we'll go a little past the head on each side and then um we're also going to draw another line that goes over the top so watch this we're going to draw another curve that matches the first one we did and this is for this part this part of my hat the brim i love wearing baseball hats now we're going to connect the top down to the bottom you do too but you always we're backwards yeah my hair is crazy because your hair is crazy when we draw you we're going to draw the hat backwards all right now let's draw the top of the hat we're going to draw two edges two sides of the hat one on each side going straight up well kind of diagonal tipped in and then we can connect the top so we're going to connect it with a curve it goes all the way over it's like a rainbow line over to the other side oh that looks great it looks awesome that's okay no problems right yeah all right now we're going to draw the top of the hat there's a little button on the top of my hat top of most baseball hats there we go i'm missing i'm missing eye or my eyes i'm missing ears i think your drawing actually looks more like me than my drawing now we're going to draw a c shape over here for for one ear and we'll draw a backwards c over here on the right side oh how much clock is in is in there i'm from finland here it's 11 38 in the evening so it's actually what time is it here 2 38 p.m so it's a big time difference in finland isn't it now we're going to draw the inside of my ear so watch this we're going to draw a little diagonal line then we're going to draw a curve like a small c and then another diagonal line it's kind of a fun way to draw an ear that's three it does look like a backwards three is that no that's frontwards three then we're going to draw yeah it's definitely backwards everybody we're going to draw another diagonal line on this side going the other way and then a backwards seat and then another diagonal line there we go we did it oh except we're missing one more thing goatee goatee goat cheese goat cheese we're gonna draw a line that goes underneath my mouth and then we can draw a v shape down here at the bottom to connect okay there we go we did it go cheese goat cheese okay now we're going to draw the body so we're going to draw two lines that come down out of my chin we're going to draw one on this side and then one that comes down on the other side there we go we don't want to go too far down we're going to draw a smaller body now we're going to draw the legs so we're going to draw an a shape or an upside down v we're going to go up like this and then back down and look the edges of my v are lower than the outside i'm even going to come down even further like this so there's a big difference between the inside part and the outside part risky roar says draw more minecraft we are we're planning to draw more minecraft are you okay yeah are you okay you look like you're arizona now in texas it's 3 40 and maddie says i love your draw i love your drawing thank you maddie oh and lightning lex says what's your favorite animal what's your favorite animal well i think we've answered this a lot three times no it's okay sometimes it's different people that draw with so i'm drawing the my toes on each side for my shoe and uh what's your favorite animal probably a chia or a cheetah a cobra i'm gonna say i'm gonna come up with a different favorite animal uh i'm gonna think about it okay oh wait a seal no a blob fish or an elephant seal i i really like manta rays to your stingrays now we're gonna connect the bottom of my feet so this is the bottom of the shoes we're going to draw two curves one on each side and then let's also draw let's draw the details on the body so we're going to draw the bottom of the shoes we'll draw another line that goes across on each side can you draw elastigirl sev uh sevensupergirls says that oh we're planning to draw all of the uh incredibles yeah now we're gonna draw pants bottom of my pants and the shoes so a diagonal line that connects on the ankles cookie master asked if we could give them a shout out and they said i love you we love you too cookie master all right now now we're going to draw the waist so we're going to draw a line it's curved it goes all the way across the body now before we draw the logo on my shirt let's draw the arms so we're going to draw two lines that come out one on the top and then one below i'm going to draw those a little longer just a little bit longer there we go now we're usually we just draw a c shape let's draw almost a circle that comes around and connects so the hand looks a little bigger than my arm official madison says you're my favorite drawing channel thank you that that means a lot actually because there's a ton of drawing channels and they're and they're all really good they're awesome drawing channels all of them are really cool so that means a lot all right now let's draw the other side the other arm okay we're gonna draw we're gonna draw two lines just like we did on the other side yeah and then we're going to draw that same cut a circle shape for the arm all right what should go on this hand a marker a marker sharpie let's draw two lines coming out of the top and then i'm going to draw a u that comes out the bottom like that there's the bottom of the marker this is the top so we're going to draw an upside down u to connect the top and then we can color in let's color in the top of the marker that's for the cap if it's a sharpie and then i'm also going to add see how there's a little shirt clip we can draw that little clip on the cap what should we put in this hand a piece of paper piece of paper okay let's draw one line comes out the top and one line out the bottom then we're gonna connect we're gonna turn it into a rectangle so we're gonna draw a line out down and then connect it back into the bottom what's your favorite genre what's your favorite music genre and artist from that genre oh that's a tough one do you know what genre means it's like type of music music yeah yeah kind of like techno and elect electronic i like music that you like music musics that i like yes uh i like i like uh stuff that's got a beat to it yeah i like bass you like a lot of bass we like bass okay now we need to draw we need to draw the logo on my shirt and we're going to keep it really simple so we're just going to draw the shapes so first we're going to draw the triangle shape okay we're going to draw an upside down v right in the middle but towards the bottom of the t-shirt and then we'll connect the bottom to turn it into a triangle yeah now we got to draw let's draw the circle next we're going to draw we're only going to draw part of the circle because it's behind the triangle it's connected and then what's the next shape a purple shape a switch there's no purple on there so we're going to draw a square these are all the basic shapes to uh drawing there's other shapes but these are the basic ones so we got three we got a circle the triangle and the square they're the foundation foundational shapes and then it's also the primary colors so we're going to talk about that in a little bit too so we've got yellow blue and red are we missing anything on our drawing uh let's color in the t-shirt and we can color in the hat with our markers okay so that's gonna that might be a little squeaky on our you might if you need a new marker just let me know and then while we're doing that let's answer some of our awesome art friends questions so let's see oh we just got it we just got a donation from kittycraft they said i love you guys still love you oh okay that sounds like a monkey yeah i did something and then uh barbieforever21 says what inspired you to start a youtube channel and um i was doing i actually started a different business and was doing it and i really missed drawing because that business didn't have anything to do with drawing or art and i i was missing it so badly i started drawing on my own and then i was like oh my gosh it'd be so much fun to teach you guys how to draw because you you were super young when did we start you're six yeah i think you're six years old when we started i'm gonna color oh i've got a color in the hat too super fast you know what i'm gonna need a new marker do you want another marker oh i can try to finish this one i'm just going to switch to a different side there we go a nice juicy marker and so i started teaching you guys art and it was so much fun and i already had a blog for painting and photographs photography and i thought it would be fun to put one of the lessons up on that site and it was i had way more fun teaching you guys how to draw than i did painting by myself so i thought it was fun to draw with you guys when we started the youtube channel when you were six and you're how old now 12. so six years ago i think we're going on seven years why did you choose to draw on your channel i think i already answered that but that's okay um i just love art i've always loved art my entire life it's been my favorite thing to do i loved it in high school i loved elementary school when did you start drawing i started drawing when i was zero zero my mom has this drawing i think she might have given it to me but i don't know where it's at it was a two circles and a line in the middle and i could barely talk and i said motorcycle and she freaked out she thought it was so cool she kept that drawing forever but i don't know where it is now i've always just donated no oh that's awesome clout from uh clarksville donate 99 cents thank you so much should have told our art friends before we started coloring so i'm just gonna connect the bottom like this to leave it white inside but just go ahead and keep coloring it i think it's gonna look just mine is about drawing like why do you why do you like drawing here let me sweep your drawing um like looking what you've done at the end and like how yeah that's kind of like me like yeah yeah you get this really good feeling inside that you drew that that you were able to draw something really cool yeah i get that same feeling and that's one of the reasons why i really i like drawing too um i was gonna say i just love creating i love making stuff i love it which actually is a lot like what what you said is when you finish something and you look and you step back and you look at it and you're like oh i made that that's what's so cool about art is is creating something that didn't exist before i think that's an awesome question hey charlie nelson just said hi from utah too they said can you draw characters from the greatest showmen that's our fate that's why you're gonna say no we love that movie we really do well we've actually watched it a little too much lately yep so maybe we're getting sick of it but what's your favorite song in that in that movie probably the one i forgot what it's called well which which part oh other side where he's trying to convince uh trying to convince him to join his partner yeah that's an awesome song my favorite song is and i don't remember uh is it the stars it's where she's singing she's in that white dress and she's on stage is that what it's called no maybe our friends can tell us what what song that is i'm sure they know oh yeah sure i'll put it there it's where she sings that it's really pretty song and that's my favorite song i like that song that was it's such a good movie though you know why i like that movie is because he's an entrepreneur he he created that business out of nothing and that's why i think it's really inspiring to create business create a business it's just like art you create something out of nothing it's exciting it gives you a rush yeah yeah creator's rush have you heard of the runners rush if you go on a run you get this really good filling inside and that's called the runner's rush and i get the same thing with drawing stuff i get like a creator's rush i'm sure a lot of our art friends the stars it's the one where they're like on the stage and it's um the one where they're on the rope and then they have the rope oh okay okay okay i like that one too i'm using the old marker um the other the others part in that movie that i i really liked a lot was when his partner he's showing him around the whole uh circus and then he walks through that like curtain and then she's swinging from the trapeze and then it goes into slow motion they see each other for the first time gave me goosebumps when i saw that first time it did i know it's kind of cheesy but i did it was really cool i like the slime i like stuff slow motion what's wrong oh something was in my mouth i'm gonna add pink on my cheeks and then also a little pink on my nose there we go just for shading squares red squares red okay so let's talk about let's talk about um the the logo so the logo uses what colors right what colors do we have on the right red blue let me bring this up yellow okay we got our color wheel check this out that's really cool it's new so i thought it would be a lot of fun to talk about the color wheel just for like two seconds so on our logo we use don't count the seconds yellow blue so we got yellow right here right and we also have blue and we also have red up at the top now these are the primary colors you want to point to the primary colors so primary colors means those are the first colors or the main colors all other colors are made out of these so if you mix colors together you can you can mix these primary colors to make these secondary colors and the secondary colors are orange green and violet is that cool yes so the reason why we chose these colors for the logo is because they're the basic colors they're the first colors and you use these colors to make all the other colors in the world make them all so you can mix all of you can mix these colors to make any color you want so um which one's which red is the square right yes yellow is the circle yellow is the triangle blue is a triangle oh someone said can you draw a skull trooper from fortnite do you what's the score trooper it's the is it that skeleton the skeleton costume for halloween yeah guess what you you like freaked out because we were watching karate kid the first credit kid the original yeah the best one and uh they had that and you freaked out because you saw it you saw it yeah it's the same costume that they're wearing and that the the cobra kai guys are wearing when they beat beat up daniel if you haven't seen that yet if you haven't seen that movie yet you've got to ask your parents if you can watch it it's one of the best movies i love that movie when i was a kid um okay let's see if we can answer some other questions we're almost done aren't we yes let's see have you ever gone went to six flags we haven't ever been to six flags i actually i have one well it was i don't think it was six flags it was uh called great america when i was a kid it might be part of the six flags stuff but i'm not sure can you draw uh i don't know what that is each thrower each echo what's that echo throw i don't know what that is what's your favorite drawing probably the dragon what's that the dragon or the phoenix or the pegasus oh yeah the pegasus was really cool it took up three videos yeah we did it we broke that up into a bunch of steps got to do brown for the goat goatees cheese i like these yeah it it never gets old believe me yeah do you need gray too and pink let me uh color this in a little bit more i'm going to blend it please draw tom and dre tom and jerry that would be that would be way fun do you use twitch no we don't use twitch draw jackie robinson what's jackie robinson he's the baseball player oh yeah okay have you drawn drawn a lego yeah we've drawn lego hulk we've drawn a bunch of we've drawn a couple lego things characters like batman ninjutsu batman what are your summer plans barbie forever asks what are your summer plans swim swim draw more drawing more swimming eat lots of good food watch cool movies yes yeah we don't we actually don't have too many big we don't have super big plans for the summer my mind is blown do you like hot dogs do you like hot dogs yes i do like yeah there's this place what's it called here j dogs yeah in utah if you ever come visit the pink and you love hot dogs you have to go to jail you know i'm gonna add one last thing we're almost done uh i'm gonna add one last thing to the hat i'm gonna use a white colored pencil well you're shaking the table too i'm going to use the white pencil i'm going to go over the top of the brim and this is going to add a little highlight and then i'm going to do the same thing on on the very top right here the top of the hat just add a little highlight is that cool you want to add this to yours too yes and then i'm going to go all the way around it with a black marker to thicken up the lines and then we'll be done we did it sweet oh barbie forever ass i keep every time i look up barbie forever is at the bottom of the chat he said can you draw barbie and can that would be fun it looks just like you emilia says thank you so much i know i look like a curtain but [Laughter] okay i'm gonna go around i like doing this on our cartoon drawings i like going around and making the line a little thicker and it just makes it look cool i think all right we got do you have any other questions for for our art friends how about fortnite you have another 24 yeah do you play fortnite believe me i'm getting tired of fortnite i know you're not but oh my goodness there's only so much fortnite i can handle um let's see okay i got the outside of my face i'm going to draw the outside of the arms are you gonna thicken up the lines too yes now you're going into junior high next year right yep and you're excited for junior high i'm pretty excited yes it's gonna be awesome you guys are also doing swim lessons yes yes you got you got uh basketball camp coming up you're super excited about basketball camp right now yes i am yep all right what else we got going on this summer basketball camp eat lots of food that's our favorite thing to do is go to tasty restaurants yeah my nose looks a little wonky i'm gonna try and fix it there we go oh let's see someone says that i live in grantsville utah we know where that's at spongebob and patrick we've actually drawn spongebob and patrick but we need to draw them again because we didn't color spongebob did we color patrick i think we did we might have yeah we need to re re redraw spongebob draw the youtube play button that would be a cool that's a really cool idea can you draw praying mantis that would be fun we have but i think we could draw another one beanie boo fox can you draw infinity war draw draw the noon can you draw an iphone can you turn your face cam on we're almost done we will all right are you done did you go all the way around oh it looks awesome it looks so cool oh you got to draw uh gray you look at the bottom of the sharpie it's gray you want to add a gray right there and we'll be done oh i'm going to outline my piece of paper too oh my gosh i hope you guys had a lot of fun drawing me did you have fun drawing your dad yes i did now um we're also going to draw we're going to draw you probably next and we'll we'll do that next week i think but remember you guys at home you guys can change the details on in your drawing to change this into anybody you could you could make draw a different t-shirt you could draw different details maybe even some hair but this is a fun way to draw any kind of cartoon character so we just added details that i like that i usually wear i usually have a marker and a black hat so it looks like me but so we're not completely done yet right it's what time is it challenge chill and shine what should we challenge our friends to do to their finisher drawing a background background draw our background yeah that would be way cool you could draw our studio here and you can add all the extra details that would be so much fun to see them finish their drawings with our studio in the background and maybe draw one of our drawings on the piece of paper you can do that you can add your favorite drawing to the piece of paper that i'm holding yes good idea i like that a lot and then parents when your kids are all finished with your drawing with their drawings be sure to take a photo and post it to instagram and use two tags first one notifies us and lets us know that they posted it right yes what's what is that one absolutely art for kids hub yeah at art for kids hub the second one is the hashtag hashtag afkh challenge afkh challenge that keeps them together so it's easy to find and then we'll pick somebody from whoever
