How To Draw Bread and Butter

hey art friends today is national bread and butter day so what are we drawing a slice of bread and a stick of butter yeah we hope you're gonna follow along this will be a lot of fun you need your drawing supplies we're gonna use a marker but you can use whatever you have at home you also need some paper and something to color with all right you ready to start yes let's first draw our slice of bread over here on the right side of our paper so that we have room for the big stick of butter we're gonna we're gonna draw a diagonal line right here in the middle of our paper this is for the left side of our bread then we're going to draw a curve in the corner and then we're going to turn it into kind of looks like sideways v or a letter l and then let's draw a curve down here and come back up and we want these to be the same size or the same length there's the bottom of our bread now let's draw the top let's use our eyes to measure the distance between these two lines and we're going to draw a guide point right in the middle that's directly up and we'll put a little point right there then we're going to start at that guide point and we're going to draw a big curve that comes out around and then connects to the left side this slice of bread is really tall and then let's draw the other side we're going to repeat that same step curve around and then connect it now let's draw the crest and we'll just repeat the same step we're going to go around and match the same shape that we just drew but smaller inside okay there we go there's the bottom keep going and then let's draw the two curves at the top and we can just trace around this way or you could start in the middle if you want that looks like mickey ears my bread has mickey ears nice now let's try the butter and let's draw it spread over the whole thing not just a little cube okay we're going to draw a wiggly line it's kind of like our peanut butter and jelly lesson oh bread and butter is my favorite snack oh it's so good i'm going to draw a little wiggly lion comes all the way around over to the other side yeah i probably eat bread and butter for my snack like 90 of the time and then crackers for the other ten okay let's try let's draw a funny face i'm gonna draw two eyes i'm gonna draw a circle here and a circle over here and you can change your funny face you don't have to draw exactly like us you could draw the eyes closed you could also draw the face maybe higher up or lower let's draw a mouth too i'm going to draw a really happy mouth and draw a smile and then maybe draw a really big open mouth and i'm going to draw a tongue sticking out it's going to come out like this around and then back in yeah and then we can also draw the back of the mouth or the other side i'm going to draw a little curve imagine it going behind the tongue and then connecting up to the top of the mouth let's color in that bottom shape and also the top shape oh we need to finish the eyes too let's draw a highlight a little oval in the top of the eye of both eyes and then color in the big circle but leave that little circle white now if you want to you can pause the video and take extra time to change your funny face and add different details you could add eyelashes maybe even a bow oh yeah now what do we need to draw a stick of butter yeah we got the bread we also have some butter but let's draw a big stick of butter too i'm going to draw a diagonal line coming out from the bread and we're going to draw overlapping then we're going to come up here to the top of that diagonal line we're going to leave some space we can add a little guide point if we want and then let's draw a diagonal line that matches the other diagonal line that is a big stick of butter yeah more butter the better yes then let's draw another diagonal line that's going to match these two lines i'm going to draw kind of close to this one and we're going to draw it a little shorter so i'm going to start here and draw another one but watch this down here at the bottom and we draw a little longer oh it actually should be the same length it's just lower all right now let's connect the bottom the diagonal line and then we're going to draw another diagonal line into the bread let's do that same thing i'm going to draw this maybe a little higher and this one a little higher so the left side's a little higher then we can draw a diagonal line that connects and they should kind of look the same and then we'll connect over here too let's use our eyes and kind of like we were going to copy this line and paste it right here so i'm going to start here and try to draw a line that matches this diagonal line yeah and then let's draw a line to connect it looks like a really long cube or a rectangular prism that's our stick of butter yes 3d okay now we need to add a funny face to this one too i'm going to draw two eyes two circles and we can i'm gonna make a crazy face too this one's really happy i'm gonna draw it really big well maybe the butter has teeth i'm gonna draw a line down and then across and then a tongue i'm gonna draw a different tongue i'm gonna draw a curve coming in like this and then maybe another one right next to it and then we can connect the mouth up to the teeth let's color in the top shape inside of the mouth oh we forgot to finish the eyes too let's draw a small highlight inside and then color in the rest of the eye oh and i'm also going to add a cheek line oh and eyebrows [Laughter] we did it we finished drawing our bread and butter it looks really cool except we're not completely done we still need to color it yeah my favorite part we are going to fast forward so remember to pause the video and take time to color your drawings also you ready to fast forward yes [Music] jack give me five we did it we finished drawing and coloring our butter we also added some extra things little hearts yeah little hearts and drips maybe the butter is melting you could even add more extra things yeah like more bread and more butter yeah more butter can never have too much butter the greens we have had a lot of fun drawing your stick of butter and bread we do we hope you
