How To Draw A Volcano

hi friends we're going to draw a volcano yeah an exploding one huh yeah yeah it's gonna be [Music] awesome all right little man you got your marker yeah what's your name Austin yeah my name's Rob and we're going to do a drawing today right yeah how old are you four yeah four years old and we're going to draw a really cool volcano and we're going to show our art friends step by step so they can do it with us right okay so we hope you guys have a marker or something to draw with you don't have to use a marker um and some paper in front of you all right dude you ready to start yeah all right dude if we go too fast what can they do pause the video yes you guys can pause the video all right you ready to start yeah okay let's do this all right awesome what's a volcano like the explosion shoots out lava yeah it's an exploding Mountain huh and and lava is shooting out of it so we're going to start with our paper horizontal like this and we're going to draw the mountain first and then we're going to draw all the exploding stuff cool yeah okay first step we're going to draw just a little line right here in the middle of our paper and it's diagonal okay so right right here this little one good job okay now we're going to draw the mountain okay so we're going to draw a big line that comes down like this so it's going to start there and it's going to come down to here good then we're gonna draw The Other Side of the Mountain over here nice okay now we're going to do little bumps down here and they don't have they could be kind of small ones little bumps like that so we're going to connect let's draw this line a little further down so it's even with this line do you see that so let's draw this down to like there on this side draw connect from there to there good now these lines are are kind of equal this one's a little longer now that's okay now we're going to draw little bumps that come here here here and then into that one just little ones yep oh yeah that works too good job oh I like the way you did it zigzag lines and then connect to this one I should have drawn mine like yours and then all the way to the end good job and it's okay that our volcanoes look different right yeah cuz the most important thing is to have fun yes to have fun okay now we're going to draw a couple lines that come up so we're going to draw one line here and you can just draw let's pick one of those zigzags and just draw a line from there there to there and this is the little oh good the zigzag cool and then we're going to draw another one from here to there this one will be a little longer so we could just pick another one and this one's going to go up to there good and then I'm going to draw one more this one maybe this one's really short so just draw like one to there from there to there oh good I like how you're making yours fancy that's awesome okay now sometimes uh volcanos are on islands and that's what makes them an island is because the volcano erupted yeah so let's turn this into an island okay okay we're going to draw a little uh Beach that goes around our volcano like here this right here yeah so let's start right there let's start down here and then we're going to to draw a line that comes around like this and then back up to here do you see mine yes just like that good job that's awesome and then if we wanted to we could draw little waves down here I'm just going to draw little waves that are coming up to the beach good that looks awesome good that's really cool okay let's draw some palm trees on our beach okay okay so we're going to draw two lines one two like that right next to each other so we can draw there to there and then another one there to there good job okay and then I'm going to color that in I'm going to fill it in awesome okay now we we need to draw the palm tree or or the Palm leaves so we're going to draw a this kind of looks like a star M does that look like a star M so we can just draw a little zigzag star that goes around to make the top of our palm tree yes keep going perfect okay now let's make another palm tree on this side so going to do the same steps two lines yes good you make a little taller a a little taller yep and then color it in good there you go little taller good job okay and then we're going to make the star or the Palm leaves on the top of our palm tree good it kind of looks like a Christmas tree a little bit and kind of looks like lightning com down lightning and there's a sign right there yeah it does okay I'm going to do one more palm tree I'm going to put it in front of my in front of my volcano so I'm going to do two lines like this that go in front of the volcano and then I'm going to fill it in so you want to do that too we could do it like right here here you want to do those two lines good and then color it in awesome okay and then what are we missing the leaves on the top big Palm leaves it looks like it's inside yeah it does inside the volcano yeah it's supposed to be in front of the volcano so the volcano looks like it's behind it is that cool you want to add your leaves on top of that there you go I like it well that's a fancy one okay what's our volcano missing hit the the most important part the fire the lava yeah the lava yeah and so the lava is really hot rock that it's melted and it's coming out of the top of the volcano yeah so we're going to draw these little so we're going to come over here and come up and it's like we're making a raindrop so we're going to start right here and then come up just a little bit okay you see this little J shape make that little J right here and I need to do dots oh okay you start right here we're going to go down and then back up Little J good job okay then we're going to come back down and we're going to make a bunch of little lava raindrops or whatever yes exactly like that good job and you can connect it to the end good and then let's make it exploding okay okay so we're going to draw two lines one like this and then one like this coming out of the top good and one right next to it good okay and then we're going to make the cloud the explosion cloud okay so we're going to draw it's going to look like water but this is going to be the bottom of the cloud okay we going draw right here and draw waves right here on the top of this all the way over to there yes whoa that's awesome good job that looks really cool okay now we're going to draw even more so we're going to come over here and I'm going to make more of these but watch this it's going to come down behind the explosion like this good and then you can come over here and make it all the way up to the top awesome that looks really cool you can connect it you want to connect it to the edge of the paper over here and then over here too we got just two more steps okay okay we're going to draw a couple rocks we're going to draw one Rock right here rock over here and they're up in the sky so you could draw a little circle right there and I'm going to draw one more rock right here maybe another one one more let's see two more awesome okay and then we're going to draw uh we're going to draw little lines that come out like this like that like it's falling from the sky doeses that look awesome like the wind falling down yeah this is like the fire or the smoke like that I think I can't do that I bet you can if you want you could just do a little line you want to just do a little line it's kind of like the clouds yes it is it's just like the clouds yeah yeah and if our art friends at home want to make this a little easier they could just do a line like that that would look cool too just a single line like that you want to just do a little line like that oh you could just do a little line like that yes and a little line from here yes good job bud good job I like how this one looks like it's coming from over here I drew mine so that it looks like it's coming from the volcano but there could be another volcano over on this side and because it it's falling all the way to that yes it's going to get the tree huh mhm all right we did a good job huh yeah all right let's put our markers away and let's pick out our colors and we're going to color it okay okay these are the colors we're going to use Austin okay we're going to use uh tan for or this peach color for the sand green for the trees Brown for the mountain and red and yellow for the lava and gray for the smoke yeah yes it's going to be super awesome we're going to fast forward the whole thing so our friends at the end can pause the video and match what we did okay okay you ready to fast forward yeah all right let's do it right now you know what I forgot us we need need blue yeah for the water yeah all right let's keep going all right so we're almost done so we're going to do the lava last and this is going to be a little tricky okay so we're going to get our red there's yours and we're going to trace the lava okay so we're going to come down and we're going to do a line that goes around the lava like this right here yes right there we want this to go all the way around the lava and then I get to show you a little trick with we're using oil pastels so if our art friends have these same same uh pastels they could do the same trick that we're doing and I'm going to do uh around the fire that's going around the Rocks too it's behind the Rocks okay and then the last little bit I'm going to put some uh red lines up here on the top the part that's exploding up here right here yes right up here so right up there and then some lines down good job okay now we're going to switch to our orange or our red our yellow and this is going to be the last step okay so we're going to use this to blend so we're going to come in here and we're going to go over the red look at that doesn't it look smooth and like it's melting yeah right here yes right here on the top go over the red and then that's going to blend the red make it look really smooth and mix and it's going to turn into orange is that cool yeah all right and then I'm going to do the same thing up here on this part that's exploding out of the top okay and then I'm also going to do the rocks that are on [Music] fire Austin good job man your volcano turned out amazing what does it look like it's doing it looks like it's breaking because the lava is going on it it looks like it's exploding yeah it's really cool huh did you have fun yeah you promise yeah yeah we hope you guys had a lot of fun drawing your volcanoes with us remember it's okay that your volcanoes look different than ours and you guys can pause it at the end so that you can match the coloring that we did too and don't forget to add more details there's a lot more we could do with this huh we could draw more lava more rocks we can even drw people on the beach yeah running away from the lava yeah say goodbye to ours yeah see you later our friends goodbye
