what you see here is not real except me of course I'm not an AI character oh you never can tell these days but wait you see I told you I could become a news anchor this is Mr mattek we have a breaking news or just someone sitting in his living room I could change my background to whatever I want and make it look real except you're a detective I can do these things because of a feature called chroma key in this video I'll show you how to film and remove green screen backgrounds in cup Cuts I'll also give you a pro tip in the end so make sure you watch till then to get near perfect coma keying first you need a footage with near perfect background people mostly prefer green I have a green backdrop which is slightly rumpled but works just fine also the subject must be well lit but that's not the case for me I'm using just the wing light however mine works because I invested in a decent camera I'm shooting this in a Sony a73 which has good low-light capabilities so either you're using a decent camera or you invest in a decent lighting setup if let's say you're shooting with your phone then make sure the green backdrop is well lit so that shadows and dark areas do not appear on it the link to the setup I'm using is down in the description with that out of the way let's dive in first we need to import the video with a green background to cap cut there after to track the footage down to the timeline and make sure you place it on the track above the main track make sure to select the footage and then move over to the videos tab select cut out under cutout click on comma key and then click on the pen icon beside the text Color Picker thereafter move your mouse cursor over to the player and click on the green area increase the strength slider until you notice that the going back on behind the subject is gone if you keep increasing it starts removing parts of the subject I'm going to increase it until I notice that they're going back on is gone while retaining all parts of the subject thereafter you can increase the shadow a bit to hide the green reflection around the subject but once you're done the background is gone so the next thing we're going to do is to replace the background of the subject I usually get free background videos and pictures from a website called pixabay.com or pixels.com so let's just go to pixabay.com then I can search for whatever I want so once you find something you like just go ahead and import it to cap cut and then drag the footage down to the timeline just below the footage with the subject as you can see the background is gone but we're not done yet if you notice the background looks very sharp and it doesn't look real so to make this look real I'm going to add a blur effect on the background to create a background separation from the subject so click on the background and then click on effects scroll down to the lens section there you'll find the blur effects drag the blur effects down to the background footage and then adjust the blur until it looks subtle lesson number 12 it looks real but we're not done yet as you can see the background and the Character Are do not look in tune the background looks warm and the subject looks slightly off so I'm going to adjust the subject a bit to make sure everything matches so I'm going to click on the footage that has the subject which is the top layer and then I'll click on adjustment thereafter I can adjust the temperature as much as I want so I noticed that it started balancing with the subjects you can also adjust the contrast just play around so you find something you want you can increase the brightness or contrast until you find something you like so once you start looking in tune I'll just go ahead and export my video now for the pro tip I wouldn't call the Cap Code command key feature the best in the world it has many limitations for instance you can only adjust the strength and Shadow of the chroma key which is highly limiting so you might not get a very good result but it's a free app so we can't complain although I use Cap Code heavily I also use a free app called DaVinci Resolve for my green screen videos but DaVinci Resolve is resource intensive so if you don't have like a high graphics computer you have just stick to cap gun thanks for watching Mr matek here see you next video wait give me a thumbs up and hit the Subscribe button so you won't miss my next tutorial see you next time gracious
